Hearing from Heaven

Image courtesy of imagerymajestic at freedigitalphotos.net

Glory to God!

As Christ's return draws ever closer, the Lord is preparing His people - encouraging, edifying and exhorting the Church to be ready. God is encouraging us to take hold of our new identity in Him, edifying us with the power of the Holy Spirit to walk in our new identiy and exhorting us to live holy lives, seperate from this world but influencing it with God's righteousness and power.

Two Sundays ago Richard spoke to us about the reality of the believer's citizenship in heaven. Looking at Acts 22:22-29, Richard explained the price of our citizenship, the privilege of our citizenship, the power of our citizenship and the purpose of our citizenship in heaven. You can listen to the message "Citizens of Heaven" here.

  • Price of citizenship - Jesus paid the price for our citizenship with His blood. 1 Peter 1:17-19
  • Privilege of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we have access to the limitless possibilities of God. Ephesians 2:18,19
  • Power of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we can stand against the work of the enemy. 2 Cor. 10:3-5
  • Purpose of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we are called to walk in H.O.P.E. (Holiness, Overcoming faith, Perseverance and Expectation). 1 Peter 1

The Church is called to live as citizens of heaven in this world! John 17:15-19; Eph. 2:19; Phil. 3:20

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there,
the Lord Jesus Christ." Phil 3:20

This past weekend we had a powerful time as Francois Botes and Alexander Blair ministered to us in our Hearing from Heaven conference. On Friday evening, Francois spoke to us about the 4 Beast Kingdoms described in Daniel 2 and 7 and showed us the devlopment of world kingdoms as they relate to God's kingdom purposes. Francois' clear teaching helped us understand the times and revealed God's word to the Church to be seperate from the world and not to allow mixture! You can listen to Francois' message entitled, "The Four Beast Kingdoms" here.

On Saturday afternoon, Francois and Alexander taught the church very practically on the prophetic, explaining the difference between the spirit of prophecy, the gift of prophecy and the office of the prophet as well as equipping the church to prophesy as we applied what we learned and prophesied over one another. It was wonderful to see God use the saints to encourage one another simply and powerfully. You can listen to the session entitled, "Realms of Prophecy" here, and the session entitled "Let's get practical," here.

On Saturday evening, Alexander shared a message on "How to receive from God" which you can listen to here. In his message, Alexander showed us from the account of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5, how to receive from God by hearing, speaking, and acting on the truth of God. On both Friday and Saturday evenings, Francois and Alexander ministered prophetically to many people who confirmed that what God was saying to them through Francois and Alexander, was true.

On Sunday, Francois spoke to us from Genesis 29, relating the account of Jacob, Laban, Leah and Rachel to God's promises in our own lives. In his powerful message, Francois showed us how God's promises for the future can be delayed if we do not embrace, and are not faithful to, what He gives us in the present. You can listen to Francois' message entitled, "Birth of Praise," here.

We praise God for not only speaking to us through Francois and Alexander but for also ministering to us and equipping us to move in the prophetic.

Intimacy

Glory to God!

God is calling us to intimacy with Him. Over the past few weeks, the Lord has been speaking to us about how He desires to be known by His children as we wait on Him, hunger for Him, take up our cross to follow Him, and seek God in the secret place. You can listen to the sermons here:

Waiting upon the Lord - Rodrick Gilbert
Christ is enough for me - Alexander Blair
Intimacy with God - Frances Morschel

This is what Frances spoke to us about on Sunday:
  • Intimacy is at the root of our relationship with God for He Himself is an intimate, triune God.
  • God created us for intimacy with Himself and invites us to know Him intimately.
  • Intimacy is a journey of discovery in getting to know the other person as they really are as well as allowing oneself to be known as we really are.
  • How we view God affects the way we view ourselves and our circumstances. Deu 1:27; Num 13:31-33 compared to 1 Sam 17
  • Every person is first and foremost conceived in the heart of the Father. Jer 1:5; Ps 139
  • The believer's true identity is found in the heart of God as He knew us before we were conceived.
  • The believer's deep need for acceptance, security and significance is only truly satisfied in God.
  • Intimacy is a place where you are loved unconditionally.
  • Intimacy is a place where you don't have to seek approval by trying to be what you think the other person wants you to be.
  • Intimacy is a place where you can share your deepest, darkest secrets without fear of being rejected.
  • Intimacy is a place where you can be you and are accepted just as you are.
  • Intimacy is a place where you can open up your heart without fear of being hurt.
  • Intimacy is a place where you can share your deepest thoughts, feelings and desires without being corrected, criticised or judged.
  • Intimacy is a safe place where you can be vulnerable.
  • Intimacy is a place where you can share your weaknesses, struggles and failures and still be valued and respected.
  • Intimacy is a place where you don't have to perform to be significant.
  • Intimacy is between two parties and is two-way. Intimcay only works when both parties love and accept one another unconditionally; where both parties feel safe and can be vulnerable with one another; where both parties are valued and respected no matter what.
  • God is drawing us deeper as we dare to be real, vulnerable and don't stop short of responding to the deep call of God (Ps 42:7).

Trust God!

Glory to God!

On Sunday, Alexander Blair led his monthly Prophetic Sound Check, that takes place on the first Sunday of every month from 13:30 - 14:15. For those who came for the Pre-Service Prayer that also takes place in the Mother-and-Child room from 14:15 - 14:45, it was evident that God was already present and revealing what was on His heart for His people.

This month KLF is fasting and praying for breakthrough in the lives of her people and for spiritual breakthrough in Frankfurt and Butuan in the Philippines. We believe that God is taking us into a season of breakthrough where we are going to see miracles, signs and wonders inside and outside the Church for God's glory. The climax of this period of fasting and prayer will be our Breakthrough! weekend when we will gather for two evenings from 19:00 - 22:00 on the 2 and 3 May for a time of worship and prayer that will be led by Julius Regala (senior pastor of Kingdom Life Butuan) and Richard Morschel. We are really excited about what God is doing already!

On Sunday our children's ministry leader, Sophie Rowe, shared the simple truth of our need to trust God. She showed us how God calls us to trust Him by praying; by giving up trying to do things in one's own strength and by refocusing on Jesus rather than on one's circumstances. It was a joy to catch Sophie's enthusiasm and spirit of faith that stirred many of us up to stop worrying and to simply trust God. You can listen to Sophie's message here.

Richard Morschel then led us into a time of ministry as he shared from Song of Songs 2:8-13. As we went through the passage of Scripture, the Father began to speak very personally to each of us, inviting us to trust Him and to go with Him to experience the new and to leave the old  behind. In response to the Father's invitation to arise and go with Him, people arose to share the Lord's Supper together to be joined with Him (John 6:56; 1 Cor 10:16,17). You can listen to Richard's prophetic word here.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 2:8

"Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me." Song of Songs 2:10

Time for Breakthrough!

Glory to God!

Yesterday's meeting was very powerful. As we worshipped God, the Spirit of the Lord began to give us a spirit of prayer and intercession that led us to pray for breakthrough in our own lives and in the lives of others. Alexander Blair then shared from Matthew 8:1-4 and showed us how the man with leprosy was able to come to a place of breakthrough in his life. These are the principles we learned:

  • The believer must be prepared to leave the familiar and his or her comfort zone to break through into the new.
  • The believer must be prepared to be bold and uncompromising in his or her pursuit of breakthrough.
  • The believer must not be concerned with popular opinion if he or she wants breakthrough in his or her life.
  • The believer must be convinced of the will of God in order to persevere until he or she experiences a breakthrough.

The Lord then ministered to us as people responded to words of knowledge and were prayed for. Glory to God for His willingness to touch and to heal everyone who comes to Him.

Richard Maybery

Glory to God!

Our Recovering Lost Ground conference with Richard Maybery was excellent! Richard has recently published a book with the same theme and covered some of the key areas he addresses in his book. You can order his book here. Apart from the profound yet very practical teaching, Richard spent a lot of time ministering to us in the power of the Holy Spirit. Many received deep healing and renewed hope as God touched their lives and people took hold of God's truth in a fresh way. Richard is a spiritual father to us and we are so pleased to have someone in our lives who truly walks with us and seeks to build God's Kingdom with us.

Yesterday, as part of our Live C.H.U.R.C.H. series, we looked at what it means to be a community that co-labours. Aris Maniatis and Richard Morschel shared the preaching on the topic as they looked at different examples of men and women of God who co-laboured with God and one another to build God's Kingdom. You can listen to their collaborated sermons here.

Upcoming Events

Living in Unity

Glory to God!

Two Sundays ago Alexander Blair spoke to us about living God's dream and how God wants us, as the Church, to reveal His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Looking at God's vision for KLF: To be a people who live the Kingdom life wherever we are, we looked at our need to understand the Church's role in the Kingdom and how we need to live according to the priorities of God's dominion. We also looked at how God wants us to be a people of influence and how we need to prepare ourselves in order to make an impact in this world. You can listen to Alexander's message here: Let's live God's dream.

Once a month Alexander Blair is equipping our people with a workshop on the prophetic with the result that many more people are learning to hear the voice of God. On Sunday we had a wonderful time in God's presence as many people brought encouraging prophetic words and impressions from the Father for His people. God is raising us up as His prophetic people so that we will resonate the Father's heart and decree the purposes of heaven on earth. Richard Morschel then spoke to us about being a community that lives in unity, as part of our series on Living Church. You can listen to the sermon here: Are you sticky?
We have seen that to Live C.h.u.r.c.h. is:
  • To be a community that lives Christ-centred lives.
  • To be a community that lives holy lives.
  • To be a community that lives in unity.
  • To be a community that lives in relationship.
  • To be a community that co-labours.
  • To be a community that lives healthy lives.
Looking at Ephesians 4:3 where it says, "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace," we noted the following:

  • Jesus purchased the unity of the Church with His blood. Eph 2:15
  • Our unity in Christ is God-given and not man-made. 1 Cor 12:12,13
  • As the Body of Christ, we must realise that Christ is not divided and that we must be careful to guard the unity we have received in Him. 1 Cor 1:13; 3:16,17
  • The "bond of peace" is the glue that preserves our unity and keeps us sticky.
  • We remain sticky or non-sticky by the way we see ourselves and others; by the way we listen to one another and by the way we speak about one another.
  • We remain sticky by seeing our lives as a gift to one another. When we think we are more important than others, we become non-sticky! Humility keeps us sticky. Rom 12:3-6; 1 Cor 4:7; Eph 4:11
  • We remain sticky when we submit to one another and listen to one another. When we don't listen in order to understand but are more concerned about being heard, we become non-sticky! James 1:19; Phil 2:1-4
  • We remain sticky when we protect and honour one another when we speak about one another. We become non-sticky when we judge one another rather than the behaviour or sin.

We praise God for teaching us to be quick to guard the oneness we have in Christ as we learn to stay sticky!

Live C.H.U.R.C.H.!

Übersetzung findest du hier.

Glory to God!

Alexander Blair spoke to us at the beginning of the year about 3 doors God is calling us to go through in 2014. Looking at 3 doors mentioned in the Book of Revelation, the Lord showed us that the 3 doors are the Door of Revelation (Rev 4:1) the Door of God's Favour (Rev 3:7,8) and the Door of Consecration (Rev 3:20). You can listen to the sermon here: Positioning yourself for 2014.

Two Sundays ago we had the privilege of having Elias Armenis with us. Elias is founder of Passage to Life, a ministry that reaches out to the poor, the homeless, drug addicts and prostitutes in Athens, Greece. In response to Elias' testimony and report, we joined together in prayer for the needy in Athens and Frankfurt and many went through the door of consecration as they committed themselves to be available to God to go out on the streets and reach out to the poor and needy with the Father's love. For more information on Passage to Life click here.

Last Sunday Richard Morschel spoke to us about what it means to Live C.h.u.r.c.h. Looking at Ephesians 4:15 and 16, we noted the following:
  • We are called to be a community that is Christ-centred.
  • We are called to be a community that lives holy lives.
  • We are called to be a community that lives in unity with one another.
  • We are called to be a community that lives in relationship with one another.
  • We are called to be a community that co-labours.
  • We are called to be a community that lives healthy lives.
You can listen to the sermon here: Christ paid the price so we can be one.

We also heard the testimony of a man who lives on the streets and was invited to come to the service last week. He reported that during the worship God touched him in such a way that he experienced electricity go through his whole body three consecutive times. Consequently he has stopped drinking and believes God has delivered him from alcoholism! Hallelujah!

Elizabeth Nehring and her team have begun their youth discipleship course that will run this year to train and equip our young people in their walk with God.

On Tuesday evenings, KLF will be offering various courses to equip the saints. At present Richard and  Frances Morschel are leading a 3-week course on praying for one another. For more information please contact Frances: office@kingdomlife-frankfurt.com.

We are excited about this coming weekend as we will have the privilege of having Francois Botes with us from Friday to Sunday for our Resonating Heaven conference. For more information on the conference click here.

KLF's  8-week discipleship course will be running from the first Saturday in February and will take place in the afternoons in German and English. If you are part of KLF and are interested in taking part in the course, please contact Frances: office@kingdomlife-frankfurt.com.

A Call to Intimacy

Glory to God!

God is calling His Bride to intimacy with Him so that she will be ready for when He returns! This is what the Lord has been saying to us in various ways in recent weeks through Richard Maybery, Richard Morschel, Suzette Hattingh, Alexander Blair and Francois Botes. You can listen to the messages by clicking on the titles:

Richard Maybery: Building Friendship with God
Richard Morschel: God's Hidden Ones
Suzette Hattingh: Prophetic Dream
Alexander Blair: The Lord of Hosts

Yesterday the Lord ministered to us through the Song of Songs as Francois Botes led us into the very heart of God. Francois led us to sing God's Word together and to sing prophetically over one another as the Lord spoke through Francois. It was very powerful and we witnessed how the Father gently softened and healed the hearts of His people and immersed His Bride in His love. We praise God for His faithfulness and His passion for His people.

On the 4th of May, Richard and Frances Morschel led a Pastoral Training Day with the purpose of introducing an 8 week Discipleship Training Course that we are looking to take the whole church through. We studied what a disciple is, what a disciple does and the process of discipleship. We also looked at the nature of man and how discipleship relates to Christian counselling. After a morning of teaching we spent the afternoon rededicating our lives to the Lord and being filled with the Holy Spirit. We praise God for the reviving work He is doing in KLF! Further introductory sessions will take place on the 20th and the 30th of May.

Producing Lasting Fruit

Glory to God

At our last two Sunday meetings, the Lord spoke to us through Alexander Blair and Suzette Hattingh about intimacy with God and preparing for Christ's return. The Father is drawing His people closer to Him and calling the Church to be emptied of herself and filled with Him in preparation for her Bridegroom.

Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about the believer's need to abide and receive. Looking at John 15:1-17, the Father showed us our need as branches joined to the Vine, to abide in Him and to receive from Him in order to bear lasting fruit. He revealed to us that when His Word challenges us we respond in four ways:
  1. We ignore the truth and reason that it doesn't mean what it says. This response leads to deception.
  2. We give up any responsibility to fulfill God's Word, reasoning that it is impossible for man to fulfill it so God must do it all. This response leads to passivity.
  3. We try our best to fulfill God's Word in our own strength and try to earn God's approval. This response leads to legalism.
  4. We accept God's Word as the truth and seek His enabling grace to fulfill His Word in our lives. This response leads to fruitfulness.
The Lord showed us that when His Word offends the believer it is because the believer is still trying to fulfill God's will in his own strength and doesn't trust God to enable him to fulfill His Word (John 6:60-69). It is therefore in remaining in Christ and learning to receive from Him that the believer is enabled to produce lasting fruit. The believer cannot do it alone and God will not do it for him. However, when the believer learns to depend on God and find the grace needed, he will produce lasting fruit (Heb. 4:16). Faith alone does not lead to living a holy life but it positions the believer to receive the grace to produce the fruit of righteousness and holiness. God wants His people to seek His face and allow Him to transform them from glory to glory (see Psalm 27:4,8; 34:5; 63:2,3; 2 Cor. 3:18, 4:16-18; Numbers 6:24-27).

Upcoming events:

4 May: Pastoral Training Day from 10:00 - 16:00 @ Salzschlirferstr.15.
25 May: Global Outreach Day. Click here for more info...

"Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." John 15:4

The power of the tongue

Image courtesy of David Castillo Dominici at FreeDigitalPhotos.net

Glory to God!

As part 2 of God's Word to us concerning "Will you run to win in 2013", Alexander Blair spoke to us about "What will you say in 2013" a couple of Sundays ago. Addressing the way we use our tongue, the Lord showed us the power of words to bring life or to bring destruction (Prov. 18:20,21; Mark 11:23; Rom. 10:8-10; James 3:2). We also learned that the tongue has the power:
  • to reveal one's level of maturity. James 3:2
  • to control one's life. James 3:3-5
  • to build or destroy. James 3:5
  • to defile. James 3:6; Matt. 15:11,18
  • to run out of control. James 3:7,8
  • to contradict itself. James 3:9-12; 1:6-8
  • to reveal genuine religion. James 1:26
Having learned about the power of the tongue, the Lord then showed us how to properly use our tongue by:
  • making a commitment to speak life wherever we go. Eph. 4:29,31
  • dominating our territory with aggressive faith. Mark 11:23
  • influencing the conversation of those around us.
  • releasing God's blessing into the world.
"It is written: 'I believed therefore I have spoken.'
With that same spirit of faith we also
believe and therefore speak." 2 Cor. 4:13

Building a Culture of Agape

Glory to God!

The Lord is speaking to us about Agape this year and how He wants us to grow in His love. A couple of weeks ago we had the privilege of having Sharron Frood (picture above) visit KLF. As someone who has committed her life to sharing the Father's heart, she has given her life to caring for widows and orphans in South Africa. For more information on Sharron and The Gogo Trust in Port Elisabeth, South Africa, please click here and here. Sharron spoke to us about "What message do we live?" She described the very practical outworking of God's love in our lives and encouraged us to make God's love "look like something!" We were inspired and challenged to exercise our faith through love. James writes,

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

We praise God for people like Sharron who truly live out the Gospel and inspire us to do the same.

Yesterday the Lord spoke to us through Alexander Blair about "Being free to fail". Looking at various people in the Bible, we saw how God loves His people even when they fail. We were encouraged to realise that even though we fail sometimes we shouldn't consider ourselves a failure. God loves us and accepts us even when we fail because He doesn't consider us a failure. He sees His people as "more than conquerors" (Rom. 8:37) and strengthens them to do all things (Phil. 4:13).

It is KLF's desire to build a culture of Agape - a people who love, forgive and accept one another as they are. Creating, what John Burke calls, "a come as you are culture" (see Burke's book, "No perfect people allowed"), requires the church to recognise that we are all on a journey of growing in Christ. The church must be a gathering of people who accept the broken, the sinner, the religious, the weak and the strong! Accepting one another obviously does not mean that we agree with everything that is ungodly but unless we love, forgive and accept one another, we will not help one another know God and grow in Christ.

This Sunday, Rick Bundschuh will be visiting KLF. Here is a video clip of Rick, teaching on becoming an "Off ramp" church. For more info on Rick and his church, click here.

On Saturday 25 Februay at 3pm (venue to be announced), KLF will be having a church get together where anyone who considers KLF to be his or her church or is interested in KLF can find out more about who we are, what we are here for, where we are going, what we are doing, what we are planning etc.

Quote of the week:

"We are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8:37

Living in response to God

Glory to God!

Yesterday was very special as the Lord invited us to have fellowship with Him in worship and Communion. We spent time simply enjoying God's presence, making room for Him to minister to us and realising our union with Him. Hallelujah!

The Lord spoke to us about living in faith and how it relates to living in the fear of the Lord. This is what He showed us:

  • Both living in the fear of the Lord and living in faith are the believer's response to God. Heb. 11:7
  • The believer can believe that Jesus exists and is present but still not respond to Him in faith!
  • To live in faith is to rely on the presence of Jesus. When the disciples were caught in a storm on the lake and Jesus slept in the boat, they were afraid even though Jesus was with them because the did not have faith and rely on Jesus. Mark 4:35-41
  • To live in faith is to respond to the presence of Jesus. The woman who suffered from bleeding was the only one in the crowd that received healing from Jesus because in faith she responded to His presence. Mark 5:24-32
  • To live in faith is to revere the presence of Jesus. When Jesus came to His hometown He could not do many miracles because the people became familiar with Him and did not honour and revere Him. Unbelief is opposite to the reverence that comes from faith! Mark 6:1-6
  • Paul exhorts the Corinthians to test whether they are in the faith and to see whether their lives are a response to Jesus in them. 2 Cor. 13:5

We praise God for His revelation to us!

On Saturday, Alexander Blair led a one day seminar on Prophecy and many were blessed as they were taught, trained and equipped in the basics of prophecy. We are excited about what God is developing in KLF and for the school of prophecy that He is leading us to start to help the Body of Christ in Frankfurt to have a biblical and spiritual foundation in the prophetic.

Our small team from KLF is presently in India for a two week missionary trip to support and be part of the work and evangelistic meetings that Hermon Living Water Ministries is heading (more info here...). People are being saved and healed as they encounter the presence of God and hear the Good news. One man came to one of the evangelistic meetings dragging himself on his hands in the morning and in the evening he walked on stage! Yesterday the team baptised 126 people who had counted the cost to follow Jesus and decided to live their lives in response to Him! Glory to God!

Quote of the week:

"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realise that Christ Jesus is in you - unless, of course, you fail the test?" 2 Cor. 13:5

Imitating Christ

Glory to God!

As we continue to learn about what it means to fear the Lord we are increasingly experiencing God's tangible presence! Hallelujah! Yesterday the Lord showed us how Jesus feared God while He was on earth.
  • Jesus "made himself nothing" to model the life that the sons of God are to live on earth. Phil. 2:6-8; Heb. 2:14,17
  • Jesus lived as a man on earth in complete dependency on God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. Luke 4:14,18,19; John 5:19, 30; 8:27-29; John 14:9,10; Acts 10:38
  • As followers of Christ, we are to be like Jesus. John 17:18; 1 John 2:6; 1 Cor. 11:1; 1 Peter 2:21; Eph. 5:1,2
  • Jesus as the Son of man, feared God. Isaiah 11:1-3
  • Jesus relied on the Father, responded to the Father and revered the Father.
  • Jesus lived from the Father, because of the Father and for the Father.
  • Jesus lived to reveal the Father (godliness) and to be in communion with the Father (fellowship) to do the Father’s work (co-labour).
  1. Jesus spent time with the Father. He went to a solitary place. Luke 4:42; 6:12,13; Mt 6:6
  2. Jesus communed with the Father continuously (Father-conscious). John 8:29; 11:41,42
  3. Jesus never lived independently of the Father. John 8:42
  4. Jesus watched what the Father was doing. John 5:19,20
  5. Jesus listened to the Father. John 5:30; 8:26
  6. Jesus only spoke the will of the Father. John 7:16-18; 14:24; John 12:49
  7. Jesus obeyed the Father. John 8:55; Heb. 5:8-10; Matthew 26:39
  8. Jesus lived to please the Father and not man. John 5:44; 8:29

Looking at the account of Jesus' raising Lazarus from the dead, the Lord showed us how Jesus lived in the fear of the Lord. John 11:1-44

  • Jesus did not react to circumstances but depended on the Father's will and timing. John 11:4-8
  • Jesus lived in the light of the presence and knowledge of the Father. John 11:9,10
  • Martha had faith for the past and faith for the future but Jesus wanted her to have faith for the present to be able to see God's presence and glory. John 11:21-26
  • Jesus said, "I am the Resurrection and the Life"; the One who is now! Jesus wants His people to be aware of His present reality and presence.
  • Just as Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, so the believer is resurrected spiritually. John 11:43,44
  • Even those who have been born again may still need to be released from bondage just as Lazarus had to be loosed from his grave clothes. John 11:44
  • Jesus demonstrated a life that responded to the "invisible". Heb. 11:27
  • Likewise, the believer who fears the Lord will have changed his life motive from self to God.
  • To live in the fear of the Lord is to therefore live in God-consciousness rather than self consciousness and live in the awareness of God and His Kingdom (the invisible).
To grow in the fear of the Lord, the believer must follow the example of Christ and,
  1. Spend time with God. Matthew 6:6
  2. Grow in God-consciousness. Psalm 139
  3. Stop living independently. 2 Cor. 5:15
  4. Be alert to what God is doing. Eph. 5:15-18
  5. Be alert to hear what God is saying. John 10:3
  6. Find out God’s will to speak it. 1 Peter 4:11
  7. Find out God’s word to obey it. Rom. 12:1,2; James 1:22
  8. Live to please the Father. Eph. 5:10
God's presence was wonderful yesterday and people received life and were set free as the Holy Spirit ministered to us. Glory to God!

This Saturday, Voice in the City (Suzette Hattingh and Gayle Claxton) have organised a meeting to encourage and equip the saints and we are looking forward to a powerful time in God's presence. For more info click here...

We are also looking forward to an exciting seminar on prophecy and the prophetic that will be led by Alexander Blair on the 26th February. For more info click here...

Quote of the week:

"A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him —
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD —
and he will delight in the fear of the LORD." Isaiah 11:1-3

The Spirit of Faith

Glory to God!

The Lord is continuing to speak to us about living according to what we have received! On Friday, at the men's prayer breakfast, God spoke to the men about walking in their inheritance and yesterday He spoke to KLF about honouring Him by agreeing with what we have received. After an awesome time of worship led by the Holy Spirit, the Lord showed us the following:

  1. We honour God when we reflect in the natural what we believe we have received in the spiritual.
  2. We have received mercy, grace and favour. Therefore we must deny self and live our lives in agreement with what we have received to honour God. Rom.12:1
  3. The words we use reflect what we believe. Luke 6:45
  4. When we agree with God's will and what He has given us, we exercise the spirit of faith. 2 Cor. 4:13-15
  5. We are to be "living agreements"; the "Amen" of what God has spoken and done in Christ Jesus. 2 Cor. 1:20
  6. We are to speak the very words of God. 1 Peter 4:11
  7. Jesus spoke the will of the Father into being and healed the sick, raised the dead, stilled the storm and resisted the devil! Power was released as Jesus agreed with the already revealed will of the Father! John 5:19
  8. Speaking God's will is not a formula - it's not about the words we use. It's about revealing the heart of God as we speak in agreement with His will.
  9. Thanking God is the fruit of the spirit of faith as the believer thanks God for what he has received! Col. 3:15-17
  10. The spirit of faith is also exercised through prophecy.
  11. Prophecy is the revelation of God's heart.
  12. A prophetic people reveal the heart of God in word and deed. 1 Cor. 14:31

We then paired up and prophesied over one another as we simply agreed with the Father and spoke God's truth over one another. People were greatly encouraged and edified (1 Cor. 14:3)! God is showing us that we must begin with what we know in order to enter into the unknown. Hallelujah!

We praise God that we now have a room in which to have regular mid-week meetings in. We will therefore have our church prayer meeting on Tuesdays at the IBTC (International Bible Training Centre) at 8pm as well as our new meeting for women that will start at the same venue on Thursdays at 7.30pm!

We are also very excited about the special meetings we are arranging to help people know God and make Him known. These equipping seminars and workshops are called EQUIP and will take place as the Lord leads. Our next EQUIP meeting is on the 11th October and will be led by David Rowe who will teach God's people to encounter God. From the 5th to the 9th of November, Richard Maybery will be visiting Frankfurt and we are also planning another EQUIP meeting, that will be led by Alexander Blair, on Prophetic Evangelism.

We praise God that He is fulfilling His Word to us to establish us this year. We are growing spiritually and numerically and we're excited to be on this awesome journey with Him! Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"It is written, 'I believed, therefore I have spoken.' With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak.." 2 Cor. 4:13
