The Father Revealed
The Gospel is good news! It is the message of God's amazing love for His creation and what He has done to enable man to be reconciled to Him. On Sunday, Richard spoke to us about how man was originally created in God's image to know God and be like Him. After the Fall, man became separated from the knowledge of the image of God and began to seek his identity in the created rather than in the Creator and he began to form gods in his own image. Jesus came not only to reveal the image of the Father but also to reveal what God originally intended for man - an intimate relationship with the Father, living to be like Him and doing what pleases Him. Through faith in Christ, man is restored to the knowledge of the image of God, renewed according to the revelation of God's image and is empowered by the Holy Spirit to reflect the glory of God (2 Cor. 4:6; Col. 3:10; 2 Cor.3:18). The amazing truth is that Jesus continues to reveal the Father to the believer so that s/he can experience the full extent of God's love and walk with the Father just as Jesus did (John 17:20-26). You can listen to Richard's message entitled, "Restored to God's image" here.

Glory to God!
As Christ's return draws ever closer, the Lord is preparing His people - encouraging, edifying and exhorting the Church to be ready. God is encouraging us to take hold of our new identity in Him, edifying us with the power of the Holy Spirit to walk in our new identiy and exhorting us to live holy lives, seperate from this world but influencing it with God's righteousness and power.
Two Sundays ago Richard spoke to us about the reality of the believer's citizenship in heaven. Looking at Acts 22:22-29, Richard explained the price of our citizenship, the privilege of our citizenship, the power of our citizenship and the purpose of our citizenship in heaven. You can listen to the message "Citizens of Heaven" here.
- Price of citizenship - Jesus paid the price for our citizenship with His blood. 1 Peter 1:17-19
- Privilege of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we have access to the limitless possibilities of God. Ephesians 2:18,19
- Power of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we can stand against the work of the enemy. 2 Cor. 10:3-5
- Purpose of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we are called to walk in H.O.P.E. (Holiness, Overcoming faith, Perseverance and Expectation). 1 Peter 1
The Church is called to live as citizens of heaven in this world! John 17:15-19; Eph. 2:19; Phil. 3:20
"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there,
the Lord Jesus Christ." Phil 3:20
This past weekend we had a powerful time as Francois Botes and Alexander Blair ministered to us in our Hearing from Heaven conference. On Friday evening, Francois spoke to us about the 4 Beast Kingdoms described in Daniel 2 and 7 and showed us the devlopment of world kingdoms as they relate to God's kingdom purposes. Francois' clear teaching helped us understand the times and revealed God's word to the Church to be seperate from the world and not to allow mixture! You can listen to Francois' message entitled, "The Four Beast Kingdoms" here.
On Saturday afternoon, Francois and Alexander taught the church very practically on the prophetic, explaining the difference between the spirit of prophecy, the gift of prophecy and the office of the prophet as well as equipping the church to prophesy as we applied what we learned and prophesied over one another. It was wonderful to see God use the saints to encourage one another simply and powerfully. You can listen to the session entitled, "Realms of Prophecy" here, and the session entitled "Let's get practical," here.
On Saturday evening, Alexander shared a message on "How to receive from God" which you can listen to here. In his message, Alexander showed us from the account of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5, how to receive from God by hearing, speaking, and acting on the truth of God. On both Friday and Saturday evenings, Francois and Alexander ministered prophetically to many people who confirmed that what God was saying to them through Francois and Alexander, was true.
On Sunday, Francois spoke to us from Genesis 29, relating the account of Jacob, Laban, Leah and Rachel to God's promises in our own lives. In his powerful message, Francois showed us how God's promises for the future can be delayed if we do not embrace, and are not faithful to, what He gives us in the present. You can listen to Francois' message entitled, "Birth of Praise," here.
We praise God for not only speaking to us through Francois and Alexander but for also ministering to us and equipping us to move in the prophetic.

Glory to God!
It was a privilege to have Bishop Sony Okpekpe minister at KLF three weeks ago. Sony is the senior pastor of Charity Church in Hanau. Speaking to us about the power of the Holy Spirit, Sony encouraged us to recognise that the believer cannot remain ordinary after being filled with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. As God's extraordinary, supernatural people, the Church is called to walk as Jesus did, doing the works of the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit and destroying the work of the enemy! You can listen to Sony's powerful message here.
Two weeks ago Alexander Blair shared a significant message for the Church that carried an urgency from the Holy Spirit for the Church to arise and shine for the glory of the Lord rises upon her (Isaiah 60:1). In his message, Alexander challenged us to recognise that now is the time for the Church to rise in the power of her identity in Christ and to be light in this world. You can listen to Alexander's message here.
On Sunday we met at the baptist church in Eschersheim to have our baptism service. It was sweltering but we had a brilliant time celebrating God's faithfulness and the lives of those who were taking the step of obedience to be baptised. It is always a special occasion to see the Gospel expressed through baptism as believers bury their old lives with Christ and rise to newness of resurrection life with Him. There was great joy in the meeting and the Father poured out His love on the people who were baptised as the church brought prophetic words for them. Tobias von Stosch shared a message on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and showed us how just as the Holy Spirit brought light and order to creation (Genesis 1), so He brings light and power to the believer so that s/he can walk in His power and His gracious enabling (Acts 1,2). You can listen to Tobias' message here.
God's word to the Church is clear that now is the time for us to arise and shine in the power of the Holy Spirit and be light in this dark world as God's glory rises upon us! Hallelujah!
