These are challenging times and whilst the world is facing uncertainty, discouragement and conflict, God is steering His people in certainty, encouragement and unity. The Lord is building His Church and nothing will hinder the fulfilment of His purposes. As we fix our eyes on the Lord rather than on our circumstances, He builds us up and strengthens our faith so that we can co-labour with Him in His wisdom and power. Hallelujah!

Over these past weeks, the Lord has been speaking to us about the journey we are on as a church and how we can reach our destination as a community of love, equipped to be like Christ and do His works. In his message entitled, "The Big 5," Richard showed us in Luke 4:18,19 and Ephesians 4:11-16 how God gives some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers so that the Church can fulfil her purpose of being like Christ and doing His work as she learns to be apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral and able to teach. These five gifts or anointings are significant as they are seen in both the ministry of Jesus as well as the Holy Spirit. In conclusion, Richard then showed us how the anointing of God first of all touches the believer's speech and that as the Church is filled with the Holy Spirit, so her language will change and be aligned to God's purposes.

Podcast

Video

Just as Jesus was anointed to fulfil the Father's work, so the believer is anointed to be like Christ and do His works. In his message entitled, "Living in the anointing," Richard encouraged us to take hold of what we have received in Christ (1 John 2:27), to remain in Christ (1 John 2:28; John 15:4,5; John 6:57) and to release what God has deposited in our lives (1 Cor 11:23; 12 - 14) so that others are influenced and built up by the Anointing.

Podcast

Video

In his message entitled, "Finish what you started," Alexander showed us how God anoints His people to fulfil the assignment He has given each one of us. In order to finish the work, God has given us, Alexander showed us 3 characteristics of those who are committed to fulfilling their assignment: those having a compelling purpose (Heb 12:2), a clear perspective (Mt 8:18-22) and courageous persistence (Jn 11:21,40). In conclusion, Alexander asked us 3 important questions: what do you need to finish, what are you committed to and who are you committed to?

Podcast

Video

On Sunday Richard encouraged us to hold onto our faith as we looked at 5 areas in which our faith can be challenged and how we can protect and strengthen our faith. In his message entitled, "Under attack!" Richard showed us the biblical answers: to our prayers not being answered (James 4:3; 1 Jn 3:22 and John 11:1-44); to God's apparent absence from our circumstances (Rom 8:28, 37-39), to things that conflict with our understanding of God (Prov 3:5; Phil 4:5-7; Heb 11:3), to not feeling God's presence (2 Cor 5:7; Eph 3:16,17), and to not seeing evidence of God in our lives (2 Tim 2:13; Hab 3:17-19; Job 19:25). Richard then encouraged us to remember what God has done for us and what He will do for us so that we have the faith to enter into what God has for us! In this season, God is calling us to persevere and to continue to build each other up as we follow God's leading and align ourselves to His purposes. We therefore encourage you to make every effort to be connected to your brothers and sisters in Christ and to make use of the various platforms available online to do so as well as to attend our Sunday meetings as possible.

Richard Morschelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10530057195946271273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4321739046261950310.post-11534496253157764282020-10-20T14:46:00.001+02:002020-10-26T08:24:18.995+01:00Preparing for Revival!

As the Lord continues to prepare us for revival, He is speaking to us about our identity and purpose in Christ as believers and as the Church. God is taking us on an exciting journey and He is helping us to understand our destination and how we can get there together.

In his message, entitled, "Sons or Servants," Alex spoke to us about the difference between an Old Testament mindset and a New Testament mindset concerning our relationship with God. Looking at Hebrews 3:1-6, we saw how faithfulness and commitment are key attitudes that reveal a Kingdom mindset but that our motivation is determined by how we see ourselves - whether as servants or sons in God's House. Alex explained the difference between the two, comparing employees to investors, a thermometer to a thermostat and the old covenant to the new covenant as they relate to our identity, status and work ethics in life.

Podcast

Video summary

In her message, entitled, "Created for God's Purpose," Elizabeth spoke to us about God's purpose for our lives. Looking at Jeremiah's call to be a prophet in Jeremiah 1:4-13, we saw how God gave Jeremiah His approval, how God anointed him, how God gave Jeremiah authority and appointed him to fulfil his purpose as he was given access to God's promises and came into agreement with God's word over his life. Consequently, Jeremiah was able to step into God's position for him and was given the power to "Build up and tear down." Elizabeth challenged us and encouraged us to recognise that as we step into God's calling on our lives that there will be a time of preparation and practice but that God watches over us and His word so that what He has promised will be fulfilled.

Podcast: due to technical issues we do not have a recording of Elizabeth's message.

Video summary

These past few Sundays, Richard has been speaking to us about the journey God is taking us on as a church. In his first message entitled, "Are we there yet?" we looked at Ephesians 4:1-16 and concluded that since Paul describes the church as a people in relationship, a people committed to one another and Christ's purposes, a people joined together as one body with a diversity of members, a people equipped to reach "fullness in Christ" and do the very works of Jesus, that our destination as a church is to be "a community of love, equipped to be like Christ and do His works."

Podcast

Video summary

Having spoken to us about our destination as a church, Richard then showed us how God wants us to reach it. In his message entitled, "The Anointing," Richard took us to 1 Corinthians 12:12 & 13 to explain how just as Jesus Christ, the Anointed One depended completely on the Holy Spirit to fulfil His purpose on earth, so believers are anointed by God to be like Christ and do His works. Looking at the significance of what it means to be anointed, we saw that God has set His seal of ownership on us, set us apart to live for Him and His purposes and empowered us by the Holy Spirit to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine. Richard showed us, however, that unless we learn to drink and be filled with the Holy Spirit we will not make it to our destination.

Podcast

Video summary

As we were not able to have our regular church meeting this Sunday, Richard and Frances produced a short video in which Richard shared a message entitled, "Think Church!" Using the analogy of a jigsaw puzzle, Richard showed us from Romans 12 that just as any scripture in the Bible can only really be understood in context, so our lives as believers only develop meaning in the context of the Body of Christ. Richard encouraged us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Rom 12:2) as we take hold of the truth that each one of us is a significant part of the church.

Video summary

It is important to our leadership, to help everyone who is part of Kingdom Life to continue to feel connected to our church family and be part of what God is saying to us and doing with us. As believers, we are to focus on God's vision for our lives and His revival purposes. To help us examine ourselves, Gayle asked us: what or who is the source of our vision; how is our vision strengthened; how are we supporting our vision; what strategy are we using to walk in the vision and what is the scope of our vision? Speaking from Ephesians 3:20, Gayle encouraged us to depend on God, who is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine so that we find our identity, vision and destiny in Christ as He fulfils His revival purposes in our lives, the Church and our nation.

Podcast

Summary video

A few Sundays ago, Alexander shared a message entitled, "It's Time To Settle It!" Alex encouraged us to have great confidence in God as we depend on God's truth to set us free. Every revelation of God's name in the Word of God is an invitation to experience God in His unchanging nature. As believers have faith in who God says He is, so we can have faith in who God says we are! Similarly, believers can have faith in what God says He is able to do and what He says we can do! Looking at a few key scriptures that reveal who we are Christ, we saw that we are significant (Mt 5:13,14); branches of the Vine (Jn 15:1,5); the temple of God (1 Cor 3:16); ministers of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:17-21); seated with Christ in heavenly places (Eph 2:6); God's workmanship (Eph 2:10); secure (Rom 8:1,2); assured that all things will work for good (Rom 8:28); citizens of heaven (Phil 3:20); hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:3); children of God (1 Jn 5:18); accepted (Jn1:12); holy (Eph 1:1) and complete in Christ (Col 2:10). We praise God that we can have confidence in who God is and who He says we are in Christ!

Podcast

Summary video

Two Sundays ago, Richard spoke to us about our need to persevere in unconditional love as we hold onto our faith in these Last Days. Looking at Matthew 24, Jesus describes these Last Days as birth pains and that as creation, society and mankind increasingly deteriorate there is the danger that many will turn away from the faith and that the love of many will grow cold (Mt 24:10-12). Richard showed us the significance of love as it reveals the believer's faith in God (Gal 5:6); it reveals we are followers of Christ (Jn 13:34,35); it reveals that Jesus was sent and that we belong to God (Jn 17:23) and it assures us of our salvation (1 Jn 4:16,17). Understanding that in these Last Days we are tempted to focus on the trouble and increasing wickedness on earth rather than on Christ, the Church and the Lost, Richard challenged us to love as God loves us and to choose love in every situation and circumstance. Looking at John 21, we noted how Jesus wants us to demonstrate our love for Him by fulfilling His calling on our lives, counting the cost of following Him and choosing to follow Love regardless of the calling upon other believer's lives or how other believers live their Christian lives.

Podcast

Video summary

On Sunday we had the joy of performing and celebrating the marriage of Gina and Genaro. It was a very special afternoon as our KLF family worked hard to welcome the wedding party and serve our special guests. Richard shared a message entitled, "Three Crowns" in which he explained how just as Corona, which means crown, is affecting everyone, everywhere so there are three crowns that affect all of mankind: the crown of sin, the crown of Christ and the crown of love. Using the image of a black crown, a red crown and a white crown, Richard shared the Gospel and pointed out the significance of marriage in demonstrating God's longing to be joined to His bride through the covenant of Christ's blood. After inviting people to respond to the message, Richard then performed the wedding ceremony for Gina and Genaro, followed by cake and coffee outside in the courtyard. We are already experiencing a fresh stirring of the Holy Spirit that is taking us deeper into God and His will for our lives. Some are moved to pray and fast; others are renewing their devotion to God and others are changing their ways and their thinking according to the convcition of the Holy Spirit. We are also seeing the Holy Spirit stir the Body of Christ to unite in prayer and to seek God until He comes and showers righteousness upon us (Hosea 10:12).

Two weeks ago, we had another unusual Sunday meeting as the Lord took us even deeper in worship and drew us even closer to Him. Richard then spoke to us about some of the principles that are common to most revivals and that reflect why and how God wants to revive His people. Looking at Daniel 1:1-6, Alex pointed out the principles the enemy uses to conform man to his kingdom as he targets leaders and potential leaders; entices influencers who are instrumental in shaping the future; changes the environment and spiritual atmosphere; makes Christians spiritually sterile and impotent; changes the language and information to "brain-wash" his subjects and changes people's identity and desires. As God's people return to the Lord, He promises to heal their waywardness and revive them, causing them to depend on Him, to blossom, to be deeply rooted in Him, to grow and mature, to be full of splendour as they walk in authority and royalty, to be the aroma of Christ, to be a shelter and protection from the world, to multiply, to become known as the habitation of God's presence and to be a people living in the care and communion of God.

PODCAST

VIDEO SUMMARY

Two weeks ago, God moved us into a powerful and prolonged time of worship and intercession. As God's people begin to the signs of the fulfillment of God's prophetic Word, they must rely on the leading of the Holy Spirit and be obedient to Him. Glory to God!

Through the Sunday messages and short inspirational videos, the Lord is taking us back to the foundations of our faith and reminding us and taking us deeper into the essentials of our lives in Him.

The Mark and Worship
Continuing from Frances' message on True Worship, Alex spoke to us two weeks ago about "The Mark and Worship." In his message, Alex showed us that mankind is created to worship but that the enemy seeks the adoration reserved for God to gain man's allegiance and to take possession of him! Looking at Revelation 13:11-14:5, Alex explained the significance of the symbols described and showed us how the passage of Scripture is essentially about worship. After using Scripture to interpret Scripture, Alex showed us clearly what the mark of the beast relates to and helped to get rid of much of the confusion and speculation concerning the future of mankind. In response, Alex challenged us to consider what "mark" we are carrying in the spirit realm as it relates to what is foremost in our thinking, how we spend our money and how we spend out time.
Living by Faith
On Sunday Richard spoke to us about "Living by Faith." In his message he showed us that although we begin our lives in Christ by faith in Him, it is possible to shift from complete dependency on Jesus to dependency on self with regard to our relationship to God, to the Church and to the world. Using the images of a trowel to represent human effort and a gift to represent all the believer has received in Christ, Richard explained how our faith must inform and influence our ongoing relationship to God, the Church and the Lost or we run the risk of moving into human effort to reach our goal (see Gal 3:1-5)!
Fullness of Life:
Last week, Richard encouraged us to see whether we are living in fullness of life. In his short message, he showed us from Ephesians chapter 1 and 2 Corinthians chapter 2, what it means to live in fullness of life and how we can walk in it by faith in the finished work of Jesus.
Video

Sowing and Reaping:
This week, Prem reminded us of the powerful Kingdom principle of sowing and reaping and encouraged us to sow our lives for God's glory and to expect God to multiply and expand our lives abundantly.
Glory to God!

Yesterday we were allowed to meet again as a church as we adhered to the governmental requirements to ensure a safe environment for larger groups to be able to meet. It was wonderful to see members of our church family face to face again and in the words of king David, "I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord'" (Ps 122:1)! There was much rejoicing and the power of corporate worship was particularly evident as we spent time praising God and drawing near to Him together! Although we had to observe the safety guidelines (which you can read here), and the premises has been set up very differently to what we are used to, nothing could stop our meeting together in unity of Spirit to worship our King and fellowship together! Hallelujah!

Over the past weeks we have not been able to meet as a church but the Lord has been speaking to us through the weekly video messages. Here is list of the messages and a brief summary of what the Lord has been saying to us:

An Anchor for the Soul: Frances spoke to us about the hope we have as believers because of the two unchanging truths of God's nature and His promises. She showed us how we can weather the storm and come out of it even stronger than before as we depend on God and trust in the fulfilment of His Word.

The Suffering Servant: Richard shared a Good Friday message in which he spoke to us about entering Christ's sufferings, followed by a reading of Isaiah 53 accompanied by music composed and performed by Simon.

Resurrection Relevance: Alexander showed us how the account of Christ's resurrection applies to our lives and how we can live in, and be carriers of God's hope.

Power in Prayer (Part 1): Richard spoke to us about how Jesus taught His disciples to pray and the significance of the what it means to pray, "Our Father."

Power in Prayer (Part 2): Richard continued his series on the Lord's Prayer as we looked at the significance of the Father's presence "in heaven."

Power in Prayer (Part 3): Richard continued his series on the Lord's Prayer as we looked at what it means to "hallow" God's name.

Yesterday, Alexander shared a message entitled, "Praying with Expectation" in which he showed us how Psalm 122 applies to our lives and how the Lord wants us to position ourselves to be an influence and to deal with pressure and persecution so that He is glorified. Alex explained that to pray in faith is to pray specifically, persistently and expectantly. Hallelujah!

As we have purposefully sought to help our church family be encouraged in the Lord and stay connected, we have also been sharing a short video message every Wednesday that has been based on the "7 Pillars of Healthy Relationships" that we have studied as part of our "Keep Your Love On!"course by Danny Silk. Here is a list of the videos we have shared so far:
God's Love: Richard encouraged us to love as God loves us: zealously, intentionally and practically.

As we continue to navigate through this season, we are continuing to pray simultaneously as a church every Wednesday from 19:00 - 20:00 and will continue to share words of encouragement and short videos to help us remain strong in God and connected to one another. We are also helping those in need both in Frankfurt and in Butuan in the Philippines as we provide food for the homeless and care packages for families without any resources due to the strict lock-down in Butuan.

We praise God for His faithfulness and that in Him we can remain steadfast and certain! Hallelujah!
Glory to God!

As we navigate through these challenging times, we are seeing how God has been preparing us for this season. Last year the Lord took us on a journey of transformation that led into 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal in our lives, our church, our city and our nation. We ended last year with God speaking to us about taking back what the enemy has stolen and launching us into 21 days of prayer and fasting to realign, refocus and renew our devotion to the Lord so that reversal can take place.

As we have embarked on this year, the Lord has given us the word: reconcile. In response we began our 6 week study of Danny Silk's book entitled, "Keep Your Love On!" with the purpose of strengthening our relationships, learning to communicate better and learning to establish healthy boundaries so that we continue to build a house of peace that is built on the foundation of love and acceptance and supported by the 7 pillars (love, honour, self control, responsibility, truth, faith & vision) that bring about lasting peace, hope and joy in our relationships.

Despite the disruption of Covid-19, God's purposes will be accomplished and what He has begun in us, He will bring to completion! Consequently, the Lord encouraged us a few weeks ago to depend on Him as our Provider and our Protector and to fix our eyes and minds on Him as we make Him our Priority.

With the present governmental requirement for citizens to avoid all social contact and to stay at home for the sake of managing the pandemic, we are looking at ways to help us as a church continue to be aligned to what God is saying to us as a church, to continue strengthening our connections and to continue seeking to be an influence in our city. For this purpose we are uploading a sermon every Sunday on to our website, a short word of encouragement from our leadership every Wednesday, posting a relevant Scripture and encouragement every Monday and Friday on our Facebook page, encouraging our people to stay connected, committing ourselves to pray every Wednesday from 19:00 - 20:00, and looking for possibilities to help one another and reach out to others. God is calling us to be zealous, intentional and practical so that we will come out of the present crises even stronger than when we entered it!

These past 2 Sundays, the Lord has been encouraging us to trust in Him and to allow change to give us a vision for a better future. In his message entitled, "Unshakeable" Richard spoke to us about the nature of trust and how God calls us to be unshakeable in times of shaking (Heb 12:25-29). We saw how trust is a choice and that God calls His children to trust Him, especially when we don't understand what is going on, or cannot see "backstage." Just as the Lord chooses to trust us as He has faith in the best version of ourselves, so the Lord wants us to trust Him and have faith in His goodness and faithfulness. On Sunday, Alexander shared a message entitled, "Vision for a better future" in which he showed us how God uses times of crises to bring about change as His people internalise change, align their speech to His Word and are willing to go through the process of change to bring about what the Father is doing in heaven on earth.

We praise our unchanging God that His Kingdom is unshakeable and that as we fix our eyes on Him and trust Him wholeheartedly He will help us to be unshakeable and filled with hope for a better future. Hallelujah!
Glory to God!

We had a powerful meeting on Sunday as we worshipped the Lord and declared Christ's authority over our land during these turbulent times. As we took our stand against fear and intimidation, we were filled with faith and the assurance that God sustains all things by the power of His word (Heb 1:3)!

Natalie then shared KLF's leadership's position and advice on how we want to move forward as a church in the next few weeks. You can listen to what she shared here: "Corona Epidemic Opportunities."

"Trusting God in uncertain times" was the theme of Richard's message in which we looked at how Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert for 40 days to be tempted by the devil (Matthew 4). Richard showed us that while we are required by the government to isolate ourselves that we must not be unaware of how the enemy will try to use these circumstances to place doubt in our identity as children of God and doubt in God as our Provider and Protector. We saw how the enemy tempted Jesus to provide for himself, put the Lord to the test as His Protecter and how the enemy wants God's children to be consumed with fear and thinking about the virus rather than having their hearts and minds on Christ in worship of Him. Richard encouraged us to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and to rest in the shadow of the Almighty as we feed on God's Word, abide in Him and fix our eyes on Him as our Refuge and our Fortress in whom we trust (Ps 91:1,2).

As we "honour the king" (1 Pet 2:17) and respect the requirements of the government, we will not be meeting during the week or on Sundays until further notice. All meetings are therefore suspended for the time being but we encourage everyone to make every effort to stay connected through the various avenues of communication available to us.

Let God be your Provider, your Protector and your Priority during these uncertain times!
Glory to God!

In response to God's word to us for this year, we are looking at ways to put reconciliation into practice and are studying Danny Silk's book entitled, Keep your love on!" together as a church. Last week we began our 6-week study by preaching on key themes from the book, meeting together in small groups to discuss the book and encouraging one another to strengthen our relationships, improve our communication and learn to set healthy boundaries. We are excited about the enthusiasm and involvement of almost the entire church and we are confident that these 6 weeks will be extremely helpful for every one of us to learn to connect and love better.

Three Sundays ago, Alexander shared a message entitled, "The power of choice" in which he compared the lives of Jesus and Judas to identify what makes people live powerful and victorious lives or powerless lives as victims. Looking at how Jesus was intentional about His choices and how He took responsibility for every choice He made, we noted how powerful people live and serve others in humility to empower others. Conversely we saw how Judas lived a powerless life as a consumer that led to his turning his back on his Master because he himself became mastered by selfishness, disillusionment, disappointment and greed. Alexander explored the glorious truth that just as the believer is chosen by God, so every person has the power to choose God and others to be reconciled, connected and to keep one's love on.

Two Sundays ago, Richard encouraged us to make sure that we not only go through the book but that we use the 6 weeks to learn the principles in Danny Silk's book in such a way as to understand, relate to and apply the principles to our lives. In his message entitled, "The evidence of love" Richard showed us in John's first letter how John describes those who have received eternal life and what the evidence that accompanies salvation should be. In particular, Richard pointed out the difference between knowing about the Father's love and actually receiving His love in such a way that it influences one's life (see 1 Jn 2:15,16). Just as the apostle Paul rejoiced in seeing the fruit of the Gospel, so John's concern was that the Gospel was bearing fruit in the lives of the believers (see 1 Thess 1:2-10; 1 Jn 5:13). Richard then spoke to us about how love must replace fear in our relationships since perfect love drives out the fear of punishment (1 Jn 4:16-19; Lk 7:36-50).

Last Sunday, Frances spoke to us about the "Foundation of Healthy Relationships" as we looked at our core needs that can only be met in relationship. Frances showed us that the core needs of love and acceptance, security and significance that make up our identity were affected through the Fall leaving mankind with a void that can only be filled with God. We saw how God as a relational Being, created mankind for relationship and how we need God and one another to live godly lives in His image. Frances showed us how God satisfies our core needs and how we need to develop relational core values that help us strengthen our relationships.

We praise God for teaching us how to strengthen our relationships, improve our communication and build healthy boundaries as we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us and learn new tools to keep our love on. Hallelujah!
Glory to God!

God's Word for us this year is RECONCILE. We are excited about this journey we are on as we seek to be reconciled to God, to one another and help those who do not know the Lord to be reconciled to Him. Having received the clear mandate and vision to build a house of peace, we are learning to be zealous, intentional and practical (zip) in order to be peacemakers who live in peace with God, with one another and help the Lost find peace in Him.

Two weeks ago we had the honour and pleasure of ordaining Elizabeth Nehring as an associate leader in KLF. Apart from being a daughter of the house who carries the heart and DNA of KLF, Elizabeth demonstrates the qualities of true leadership that include inspiration (Gal 2:9), illumination (2 Cor 4:6), integrity (1 Cor 11:1), influence (1 Cor 1:26,27) and initiative (2 Cor 8:17). As our leaders seek to have the 5-fold ministry of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher operating in its team, they recognise the grace that is upon Elizabeth's life to compliment the other gifts already present (Eph 4:11). It was a very special and significant moment as our leaders prayed for and anointed Elizabeth to establish her in her new role and responsibility as a leader in KLF.

Natalie then shared a message entitled, "Reconcile yourself - and smile!" In her powerful and creative sermon, Natalie showed us that unless we learn to love, accept and forgive ourselves, we will struggle to love, accept and forgive others. We saw how loving one's neighbour as oneself hinges upon being reconciled to oneself as we believe and receive the truth of God's love, acceptance and forgiveness (see Rom 5:8; 8:28; Eph 2:10; Is 49:15,16; Ps 139:13,14). Looking at the example of king David, Natalie showed us how David received God's love, acceptance and forgiveness after he had committed adultery and murder. Just as the king "got up from the ground" and thereafter "washed, put on lotions, changed his clothes and went into the house of the Lord and worshipped," (see 2 Sam 12:20) so the believer can receive God's love, acceptance and forgiveness, and rise up, be cleansed, anointed and clothed with Christ's righteousness and be restored to intimacy with God. Hallelujah!
In response to Natalie's message, people had the opportunity to be reconciled to the Lord and to be ministered to in prayer to help them be reconciled to themselves.

After another powerful time of prayer in our pre-service prayer time and in praise and worship, Richard shared a message entitled, "Zeal for God's house." As a form of introduction to our 6-week study of Danny Silk's book entitled, "Keep your love on!" Richard spoke to us about why we are going through the book together and what we hope to see come out of getting together in small groups to share and discuss the principles presented in the book. Using the analogy of fire-fighters who not only react to fire but also respond to the reality of fire by being prepared with the necessary tools and equipment as well as creating boundaries around endangered areas, Richard showed us that the Church cannot ignore the fact that there will be conflict in relationships and that we need to be equipped and prepared to know how to handle struggles in relationships and learn how to build strong connections, improve communication and set healthy boundaries. Looking at the account of Jesus clearing the temple courts in John 2:13-17, we noted that Jesus did not avoid conflict but was ready to "set fire" to prevent "wild-fire." Richard showed us that just as Jesus dealt with those who had turned His Father's house into a den of robbers (Mk 11:17), so we must get rid of worldliness in the Church - the danger of becoming a gathering of disconnected consumers instead of being a community of connected servants! Jesus' goal is to build "a house of prayer for all nations" - to connect people to God and people to one another.

We praise God that He is building and establishing foundations in KLF so that we can grow to be the House of Peace He wants us to be! Hallelujah!
Glory to God!

Yesterday was the last day of our 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal and the last day of our 21 day fast. It has been a significant journey for us and many have testified to experiencing change in their lives over these past 3 weeks and months! Apart from the joy of having a full house yesterday, there was a wonderful sense of God's love as we worshipped and shared communion together. Richard then shared a message entitled, "God's vision for KLF" in which he showed us the following:

Without a prophetic vision, people become disconnected and "run wild." Prov 29:18

Unless we have a goal, we cannot measure our progress. Phil 3:12-14

God's vision for the Church is to build the new Jerusalem, the city of peace, the bride of Christ that is made up of Jew and Gentile and is to become the dwelling place of God with man. Rev 21&22; Heb 12:22-24; Eph 2:14-22

God wants us to build a house of peace, a people who live in God's shalom and seek to help those who do not know Him, to be reconciled to Him.

God's shalom is the manifestation of fullness in Christ. Jn 10:10

The glory of God is connected to His shalom, Hag 2:9

We are called to be a sign and a symbol of the new Jerusalem - a foretaste of heaven on earth. 2 Cor 5:17-21; Jn 17:16

Just as God is zealous, intentional and practical in order to fulfil His goal, so He calls us to be zealous, intentional and practical in moving toward the goal of building a house of peace. John 3:16; Isa 9:7; 2 Cor 11:2; Jn 2:17; Col 1:19,20; 1 Jn 3:16-18

Using the illustration of a zip, Richard showed us that we are to be like zips as we zealously, intentionally and practically (z.i.p.) seek to be reconciled to God, to one another and help the lost to be reconciled to God. Richard exhorted the church to make a commitment before God to be zips in order for us to build a house of peace together.

As we take hold of God's word to us for 2020 - Reconcile - we are looking to work through Danny Silk's excellent book on building healthy relationships, entitled "Keep your love on." The plan is to meet in small groups over a six week period, beginning at the end of February and to study the book together as a church.

We praise God for what He is showing us and for what He is doing among us as we commit to zealously, intentionally and practically build a house of peace together! Hallelujah!
Glory to God!

As we enter the last week of our 21 day fast and our 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal, we are seeing God do wonderful things among us. Relationships are being strengthened, faith, hope and love are renewed and a general excitement and expectation is rising in our hearts. God is taking us deeper in worship and in His Word and giving us a clearer vision of what is on His heart for us as His people.

The word God has given us for this year is Reconcile! Consequently, through the messages given on Sundays and the daily devotional Richard has been sending the church, we are seeing how God is unpacking what His word to us means and how He wants us to put it into action.

Two Sundays ago, Alexander shared a message entitled, "Don't allow unforgiveness to block your destiny!" Looking at the life of Jacob, Alexander showed us key lessons on reconciliation that Jacob had to learn before being able to enter God's promises for his life. We noted that Jacob had to be reconciled to Laban, to God and to his brother Esau before he could take hold of God's destiny for his life. As we studied Jacob's life, we learned the following principles; that even though we may have received a Word from God, our relationships are important to God; that in conflict situations, mutual respect must be shown; that there needs to be mutual agreement as to a way forward; that it is important to see things from the other person's perspective; that one should not ignore the facts; and that we need to trust in God's wisdom and not our own.

Yesterday's meeting was significant! Already during our pre-service prayer we sensed God take hold of us and the meeting. Consequently, during worship we made a lot of room for God to lead us and He certainly did. The Lord was already touching hearts as He drew us closer and closer to Him in preparation for the Word He had prepared for us. Frances then shared a message entitled, "The heart of reconciliation" in which she showed us the Father's heart of reconciliation and how He wants His people to carry the same heart towards one another. In order to have a heart of reconciliation, Frances shared her own experience and very powerful and practical steps to help us on the journey of reconciliation. Looking at the example of how the Father reconciles us to Himself, Frances explained that each of us needs to take responsibility for his own behaviour (Col 3:13; Mt 5:23,24; Lk 15:11-32); that we need to take initiative (Rom 5:8); that we need to be kind and compassionate (Eph 4:32; Rom 2:4); that we should go the extra mile (Mt 5:38-42); that we should keep no record of wrongs and that we need to release blessing (1 Cor 13:5; Ps 103:12; Lk 15). In response, we were invited to decide whether we wanted to go on this journey of reconciliation and had a very powerful and intimate time of prayer as the Father ministered to us.
Glory to God!

We praise God for His faithfulness to us in 2019 and we are excited about what the Lord is already doing among us and showing us for 2020! The word the Lord has given our KLF leaders for 2020 is RECONCILE! We believe the Lord is calling us to be reconciled to Him, to one another and for us to help the Lost be reconciled to God. This is very much in line with our overall vision to reach up, reach in and reach out as we live the Kingdom life. In order to understand God's heart and His reconciliatory purposes in Christ, Richard reminded us and encouraged us to read Psalm 122 and to ask the Lord for revelation of its significance as a prophetic description of the New Jerusalem (see Rev 21), its significance for us today and where God has placed us and for its significance for the people at the time it was written. As part of our 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal and our 21 days of prayer and fasting, Richard is sending a daily devotional to encourage us to pray and to be transformed by God's truth. You can receive the daily devotional on request to pastor@kingdomlife-frankfurt.com.

In preparation for our 21 days of prayer and fasting from the 13th January to 2nd February, Richard shared a message on Sunday entitled, "Being satisfied in God." Exposing the worldly view and lie that only the new satisfies, Richard showed us how we can lose our excitement and enthusiasm in our relationship with God, the Church and others when we stop appreciating what we have; when we imagine the grass to be greener on the other side; when we stop doing the things we did at first; when we disconnect ourselves and when we look to other things to be satisfied. In order to avoid becoming familiar and dissatisfied, Richard encouraged us to be thankful (Col 3:15-17); to keep the one thing the main thing (Ps 27:4; Mat 13:44-46; Phil 3:13,14); to do the things we did at first (Rev 2:4,5); to remain in Jerusalem during the night (Neh 4:22,23; 2 Pet 1:19) and not to fill ourselves with worldly things but to be satisfied with God (Ps 63:4,5). Richard encouraged us to fast in order to challenge our affections and to renew our devotion to God because He longs for us (SS 2:14); we are precious to Him (Ps 139:17,18); He wants to make His love known to us (Jn 17:26); He is faithful even we are not (2 Tim 2:13) and nothing can separate us from His love (Rom 8:37-39). We are excited about our corporate fast and expect these 21 days to be a significant and powerful time with God!

At the beginning of the year, Alexander spoke to us about "Being positioned for favour." Looking at Esther 5:1&2, Alex showed us that it is important that we understand God's timing. As we considered the significance of "the third day" we noted that it is God's timing for favour, fruitfulness (Gen 1:9-13), clarity, fulfilment of dreams (Gen 41), resurrection, restoration and healing (Lk 24:46). Alex showed us that just as Esther was properly dressed in her royal attire, so we must realise that being clothed in Christ means walking in His righteousness and authority as well as being clothed with garments of praise (Is 61:10; Ps 67:5-7). Esther aligned herself to receive favour from the king. Similarly, we are called to position ourselves for favour as we seek the Lord's attention and release heaven on earth.

At the end of 2019, we had a lot of fun as Richard organised a spontaneous play that we performed in the service. Going through 2 Kings 7:1-20, we enacted the story as people played the various characters mentioned in the account. Apart from enjoying discovering hidden talents in our midst, we were excited by the message God was giving us of "Plundering the enemy's camp" in 2020! Richard encouraged us to stand in the finished work of Christ and to take back what the enemy has stolen as we do the works that Jesus did when He came to destroy the devil's work (1 Jn 3:8)! Hallelujah!

Over 40 people gathered for our Christmas Eve service in our new premises in Frankfurt-Hausen for fellowship, worship and a reflection on the significance of the gifts that the three wise men brought Jesus (Mt 2). In his message, Richard shared how the greatest honour we can give someone is to seek to be a reflection of the person we worship. Seeing how the three gifts, gold, myrrh and incense reflected Christ's identity as King, Priest and Sacrifice, Richard encouraged us to see how we honour the Lord in being like Him as kings, priests and holy sacrifices (Rom 12:1; 1 Peter 2:9,10).

In his message on the Sunday before Christmas, Richard spoke to us about Jesus as "The Light of life." Looking at John 1:1-18, we saw that just as Jesus came to his own, full of grace and truth from the Father's side to reveal the Father, and to impart life as He made His dwelling among us, so God's children are called to be like Him. Richard showed us that as we dwell in Christ, in intimate union with the Father, we can make Him known and impart life wherever we are. Richard challenged us not to be a sub-culture like a light shop, but to be life-giving light in the world as we do the works Christ that will cause people to praise our Father in heaven (Mat 5:14-16).
Glory to God!

As we continue on our 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal, God is reminding us and deepening our understanding of the truth of who He is, who we are in Christ and what His purposes are for our lives as believers and as the Church. To help us pray during these 180 days, Richard is sending out an inspiring, daily devotional that you can also subscribe to by contacting pastor@kingdomlife-frankfurt.com.

A few weeks ago, Alexander spoke to us about the nature of true worship in his sermon entitled, "What is authentic worship?" Looking at John 4:19-24, Alexander showed us that worship is not determined by who we are, where we are and how we are. Instead, true worship is our response to the revelation of God as we seek to be authentic in our worship, walk and witness.

Two weeks ago, Richard spoke to us about what he believes God is leading the Church into in 2020. In his brief introduction, entitled, "Psalm 122" we reflected on Psalm 122 as Richard showed us how to understand the significance of the Psalm as it relates to the past (for those it was written about), the present (for us as it applies to our lives now) and the future (the prophetic message of the Psalm as it applies to God's purposes in the coming age). It is already apparent that the Lord has our city on His heart and that studying Psalm 122 will help us understand His strategy for God's people to reach the city and be part of the Lord's transforming work and purposes.

On Sunday we had a wonderful Christmas celebration! The house was full and there was great excitement and participation as everyone helped to prepare for the family service and celebration. Our people brought presents and food to share and everyone had more than enough. Together with Heidi, Andreas and Tobias, Natalie invited the children to the front to share the truth about what the greatest Gift is that we can ever receive. After we reflected on Christ our Light, our Comforter and our Saviour, the team went off with the children to prepare a short Christmas presentation and dance for the end of the service.

After another powerful time of worship, Richard shared a message entitled, "The greatest Gift" in which he showed us that those who give their lives to Jesus, receive more than they can possibly ask for or imagine! Richard shared how the believer is blessed in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ and that Jesus solves our past (Rom 3:22-25), settles our present (Mt 1:23; Heb 13:5; 1 Cor 13:12) and secures our future (John 3:16; Col 1:27). Jesus solves our past because He does only forgive us and wash away our sins but uproots the very cause of sin, the power of sin! Jesus settles our present because even though we are in this world, He is with us and knows us fully. Jesus secures our future because He dwells in us as our hope of glory and gives us the assurance of eternal life! In response we encouraged the Church to pray together with those who wanted to receive the greatest Gift. God's presence was wonderful and people testified afterwards to having been ministered to as God touched us deeply with His presence and truth. The children then, together with Mary and Joseph then came on stage in costumes and performed a dynamic dance and song that the whole church family cheered and joined in with. It was a lot of fun and an explosive finale to a wonderful service. Afterwards we all joined together in the bistro for an international buffet accompanied by fun activities such as a Christmas photo booth, Christmas Karaoke, great conversations and fellowship. A huge thank you to all who organised, helped and contributed to make KLF's 2019 Christmas celebration another memorable day! Hallelujah!
Glory to God!

As we continue on this exciting journey of transformation, God is calling us to step through, step in and step up: to step through discouragement, to step into our own shoes and to step up to our high calling as the revelation of God's image.

Step through! In his message entitled, "Staying the course when discouraged," Alexander showed us how discouragement comes about and how the believer can overcome it. Looking at Nehemiah 4:1-3, we saw how the enemy tries to discourage God's people when they set their hearts on transformation and stepping into God's purposes for their lives. Alexander shared how discouragement comes through ridicule, fatigue, frustration and fear but that believers can overcome discouragement by focusing on God rather than on man, seeking God to be strengthened, seeing God's perspective and depending on God's unfailing love.

Step in! A couple of weeks ago we had the joy of having Gayle Claxton from Voice in the City minister to us. In her message entitled, "These are my shoes - it's my walk," Gayle shared how transition in one's life can be the place of greatest distraction and stagnation if we don't understand and deal with the challenges we face with God's perspective. Looking at the example of John the Baptist, Gayle showed us what it means to be great in God's eyes. She showed us that every one of us can stand out, stand up and stand strong when we step into our unique God-given identity, calling and anointing. With personal and practical examples, Gayle showed us how to navigate through transition God's way so that nothing stops us from fulfilling God's call on our lives. In response to Gayle's message many came forward for a powerful time of prayer and ministry.

On Saturday we had our first Worship Night at our new office space in Hausen where around 25 people joined together with our worship team to spend time in God's presence and worship Him. It was a very powerful and intimate time with the Lord and we look forward to having these special times with God more regularly.

Step up! On Sunday Richard shared a message entitled, "A sign and a symbol," in which he showed us how God wants us to step up to our high calling of being a sign and a symbol that points to God and represents Him. Looking at Isaiah 8:18 and Heb 2:11-13, we saw how the Church is to reflect God's image as family and that He is redeeming and restoring His image through the Church. Richard showed us how satan seeks to distort God's image as Creator, Father, Bridegroom and Family by perverting man's understanding of his origin, gender, marriage and family! The Fall and the enemy have veiled God's image but it is through Christ that the revelation of God's image is redeemed and restored so that His people, the Church, God's family become a sign and a symbol that points to God and represents His true image.
Glory to God!

In this year of transformation, we are seeing how God wants to bring reversal into our lives, the Church and our cities. As we continue on this powerful journey of repentance during our 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal, we are seeing how God is revealing His love to us in an even greater measure. Just as the apostle Paul was compelled by Christ's love to lay down his own life to serve the Lord, His people and His purposes, so the Lord is stirring us to repentance and action as we grasp the depth of Christ's love for us.

<span style="background-color: white; color: black; display: inline; float: none; font-family: "times new roman"; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">We are excited about this season we are in where God is adding to our number, more young people are joining us, the church is getting together during the week, and different types of meetings are being organised for people to grow in their relationship with God and one another.

Two weeks ago Tobias shared a message entitled, "The two sacrifices" in which he spoke to us about the difference between Cain and Abel's sacrifices. Looking at the account in Genesis 4:2-12, Tobias showed us how Abel's sacrifice foreshadowed Christ as the sacrificial Lamb of God, whom God would accept on behalf of mankind. Whilst Cain's sacrifice points to man's effort to attain righteousness apart from Jesus, Abel's sacrifice points to the righteousness that is found by faith in Christ's sacrifice. Just as God looked upon Abel and his offering with favour (Gen 4:4), so the Father looks upon His Son and His sacrifice with favour. Even though "by faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did" and "By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead," the blood of Jesus "speaks a better word than the blood of Abel" (Heb 11:4; 12:24)! In response, Tobias' Life Group shared Scriptures and the Lord's Supper with the church that developed into a very precious time of worship that went beyond the conclusion of the meeting! God is stirring His people with His love!

On Sunday, after another powerful time in worship and sharing Communion together, Richard spoke to us about "Christ's passion for His Church." Looking at the seven letters to the seven churches as recorded in Revelation chapters two and three, Richard showed us that the reason Jesus wants His Church to overcome is because He is passionate about His people. Christ's Word to the churches reveals that He wants to be her first love (Rev 2:3-5); He wants His people to be with Him for eternity (Rev 2:10); He wants to confide in us (Rev 2:17); He wants to entrust us with authority (Rev 2:26); He wants to honour us (Rev 3:4,5); He wants to establish us in Him (Rev 3:11,12) and He wants to share everything with us (Rev 3:20,21). It is therefore not surprising that the apostle Paul prays that the Church would have the power to grasp "how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge" (Eph 3:18,19) because it should compel us to live for God, His people and His salvation purposes! Hallelujah!
Glory to God!

During these significant 180 days of prayer for a 180° reversal, God is showing us how He brings about transformation in our lives, the Church and our cities. In these past 3 weeks, the Lord has been speaking to us through Richard's daily devotionals and the sermons on Sunday about His presence, holiness and worship.

In his message entitled, "Broken for empowerment", Alexander spoke to us about how God brings about character transformation as we encounter Him in His holiness. Looking at the account of Jacob's encounter with the Lord in Genesis 32:22-32, we saw how God had to break Jacob's dependency on himself so that he would learn to lean upon God. Consequently, Jacob received a new name that would usher him into God's destiny for his life. Similarly God calls believers into their destiny as they take hold of their new identity in Christ and leave the old behind.

Two weeks ago we looked at the account of how the Ark of the Covenant was captured by the Philistines and how it was restored to Israel (see 1 Samuel 4:1 - 7:2 & 1 Chronicles 13 - 15). In his message entitled, "Hosting God's presence", Richard pointed out the holiness of God's presence and our need to learn to revere God's presence, host God's presence and guard God's presence. Just as David prepared a tent for God's presence, so God calls the Church to be prepared to host His presence in the fear of the Lord so that He is glorified in true worship and so that His people can walk in the fullness of His blessing.

On Sunday we had another powerful meeting as the Lord took us from worshipping Him into Christ's victory. Consequently, the Lord ministered His victory to many who came forward for prayer to receive breakthrough in various areas of their lives. Richard then shared a message in which he asked, "Are you amazed?" Looking at the account in Mark 6:1-6 of how Jesus went to His hometown and how the people were amazed at first but as they viewed Jesus in the natural they no longer believed, Richard showed us how Christians can lose their amazement of Christ and of one another! We noted how the people lost their amazement of Christ as they stopped seeing Jesus as God sees Him, as they became over-familiar with Him, as they no longer honoured Him and as they took offense at him. Consequently they moved from amazement to unbelief! In order to guard our amazement of Jesus and one another, Richard encouraged us to see others how God sees them, to be thankful, to be merciful, to focus on the good and to honour God and one another. As the Church develops a culture of honour and resists the spirit of over-familiarity, God's anointing can flow through God's people and Jesus can do many miracles! Halleluja!
Glory to God!

As a church, we are on a journey of repentance - 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal! During these days of prayer and reflection, God has recently been speaking to us about the nature and glory of the Church. With the daily devotionals that Richard is writing and what is being shared on a Sunday, the Lord is bringing reversal in our thinking as we align ourselves to God's Word and revelation. We are being encouraged, challenged and stretched as God transforms us with His presence, truth and power! Hallelujah!

A couple of Sundays ago, Richard shared a message entitled, "Is your church on TripAdvisor?" In his sermon, Richard challenged us to see whether we approach Church like a restaurant or whether we understand God's view of the Church. As he compared "McChurch" to the true Church, Richard showed us that the Church should not be treated like a restaurant but as God has birthed her and purposed her in Christ. Looking at the analogies used in the Bible to describe the Church, such as branches in the Vine (John 15), a building whose architect is God (1 Cor 3; Eph 2:21,22; Heb 3:1-6; 1 Pet 2:4,5), the human body (1 Cor 12:12-27) and a nation that belongs to God (1 Pet 2:9,10), we learned that each have the following in common: Dependance on Christ, connection, equality, significant members, and purpose. The answer to the question whether our church is on TripAdvisor was therefore answered with a clear, "No!" as we are not a McChurch that is evaluated according to what customers think but we are the glory of Christ, the revelation of Jesus to the world!

On Saturday we had a brilliant time together at the Naturfreundehaus in Niederrad. We got together for a fun afternoon and evening of games, coffee and cake, fellowship, grilling, open stage, face painting, praise and worship and more; simply enjoying each other and getting to know each other better. We were even joined by local refugee kids who felt quite at home with us and played with the other children and even joined us during praise and worship. We loved the location and are sure to meet there again in the Summer next year! Thanks to all who organised and contributed toward the wonderful time we had together!

Having celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last week, Richard spoke to us on Sunday about the relationship and profound connection between marriage and the Church. In his sermon entitled, "Strong marriage, strong church!" Richard gave us four keys to a strong marriage and thus to a strong church as <span style="background-color: white; color: black; display: inline; float: none; font-family: "times new roman"; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; text-align: left; text-decoration: none; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">we looked at Ephesians 5:21-33. Based on their own experience as a couple, Richard shared what he and Frances have learned over the years that has helped them to have a good marriage. The four keys are Commitment, that is rooted in living in covenant, Consideration, Communication and Compassion. All four are essential for a strong marriage and a strong church! We had a lot of fun exploring each key and learning how important each key is for marriage and for the Church to reflect Christ.
As we continue on our journey of 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal, we are excited to see how God is moving among us and bringing about change in this year of transformation. With daily devotionals, Richard is encouraging us to pray God's Word so that there is an alignment with God's will and purposes. If you want to receive the 180 days daily devotional, please write to pastor@kingdomlife-frankfurt.com.
Two Sundays ago, Alexander shared a message entitled, "Standing your ground" in which he spoke to us from Mark 4:35-41. Looking at the account of Jesus calming the storm and the sea, Alexander showed us how Jesus responded to the storm as an example for us to know how to stand our ground in difficult circumstances. We saw how believers must learn to stand on God's Word, recognising which season they are in, the state of their emotional health, who is pulling with them and how they must wake up, stand up, face the circumstances and speak God's truth. Alexander encouraged us to trust God to take us to the other side in the face of the storms we experience in life. Hallelujah!

Yesterday was a very special day for 6 new creations in Christ whom we baptised at the Bärensee in Hanau after our afternoon service. In preparation for the evening, Richard shared a message in the afternoon, entitled, "Sprinkled, dipped or dunked?" Looking at 3 scenes in the Scriptures, Richard showed us the significance of baptism and explained why the believer should be dunked rather than sprinkled or dipped! The 3 examples Richard shared are the Exodus (1 Cor 10:1-4); the Cross (Rom 6:3-13) and Marriage (1 Cor 12:12,13; Eph 5:31,32). After explaining that baptism does not save the believer but that it is the first step of obedience after faith and repentance, Richard used the 3 examples to show us that baptism symbolises the believer's leaving the kingdom of darkness and being placed in the Kingdom of Light; leaving the old life of sin to living for God and leaving the old "single" life to be united to Christ and the Church. Using 3 kinds of donuts; sprinkled, dipped and dunked, Richard made it clear that only complete immersion in the waters of baptism demonstrate the reality of a life immersed into Christ. Consequently we were challenged to consider whether our lives as believers and as the Church reveal that we have been truly immersed in Christ and His Body or whether our lives look like we have only been sprinkled or dipped! We praise God for His revelation to us and our prayer is that our lives would reflect the baptised life, fully dunked in Jesus and the Church!

God blessed us with amazing weather yesterday and we were able to enjoy the baptisms in the lake with a large group of friends and family. It was the first time KLF had her baptisms at a lake and it proved to be a very special and powerful time in the presence of many onlookers who witnessed the testimony of people who have committed their lives to Jesus and are completely immersed in Him and His people. After Alexander, Elizabeth and Richard baptised our 6 precious people, we returned to the campground chapel where we prayed for them. The perfect evening continued with fellowship and food at the local restaurant. Special thanks go to Nat and Gordana who had prepared the chapel so beautifully and to all those who joined us to celebrate this very special occasion!
Glory to God!

As we continue on this exciting journey of 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal, we are seeing a shift take place in different areas of our lives that we are praying for and believing God to bring about a change of direction that is aligned to His will and purposes. Hallelujah!

In the past few weeks, the Lord has been speaking to us about our identity in Christ. As we receive revelation of who God is and who we are in Christ, the Lord is renewing our minds to bring about reversal in our thinking so that we align ourselves to God's truth.

Two weeks ago Maria spoke to us about how miracles are not dependent on how hard we believe or on our faithfulness but on who God is and how faithful He is. In her message entitled, "How do miracles happen?" we looked at Matthew 9:28,29, Hebrews 11:6 and Hebrews 11:11, and asked the question whether we believe God can perform miracles, whether God wants to perform miracles and whether we believe that He will perform miracles in our lives. Knowing God as One who is faithful, loving and powerful will help us trust in Him to do miracles in our lives! Following on from Maria's message, Richard then showed us from Matthew 16:13-20 that how we see ourselves is dependent on our personal revelation of who God is.

In his message entitled, "Put on your light!" Richard spoke to us last Sunday about the believer's identity as a child of light and how we are to be light in this world (see Matthew 5:14-16; Ephesians 5:8-10). Looking at the example of Jesus in John 1:1-14, we saw that being light in this world means: beginning with God and living from Him; imparting life to others; not being overcome by darkness; entering the darkness; being prepared to be rejected and misunderstood; being a gateway to the Kingdom; making the Kingdom a reality; revealing the Father and imparting grace and truth. Richard reminded us that believers are to live from their new identity in Christ and not to live in order to attain a new identity. Having been created in Christ as the light of the world, Richard challenged us to put on our light and to keep it on!

We praise God for the reversal that is taking place as we take hold of His truth and live from our knowledge of God and our new identity in Him! Hallelujah!

As a
church, we are on a journey of repentance as we seek God’s face to turn things
around in our lives that are not aligned to His truth and purposes. For 180
days we are praying for 180° reversal to take place in our own lives, the lives
of others, the church and our city. We are committed to celebrating every
change of direction, believing that what God begins, He will bring to
completion. As we have embarked on this journey, we have begun by focusing on praying for
relationships – our personal relationship with God, relationships with others,
relationships for our singles who desire to have a partner, relationships
between the Church and the city, etc. We believe God will bring reversal as we
join together with one heart and purpose to see reconciliation, restoration,
renewal and influence take place in all areas of our lives. If you want to
receive a daily word of encouragement during these 180 days of prayer, please
write to pastor@kingdomlife-frankfurt.com to be added to pastor Richard’s mailing
list.

Two Sundays
ago, Tobias shared a message entitled, “The Key of David” in which he showed us
how King David lived in the knowledge of God’s mercy and grace. Looking at Psalms 55 and 51, we noted how David clung to God's mercy in the face of the attacks of those closest to him and in the awareness of his own sin. Tobias showed
us how, despite King David’s mistakes, God still saw him as “a man after His
own heart” (see 1 Ki 14:8)! The key of David is the revelation of the righteousness that is
ours in Christ and living in the reality of God’s mercy and grace. Hallelujah!
<strike></strike>
On Sunday, after a very powerful time of worship, we spent some time declaring reversal over relationships and speaking God's will and purpose over our lives and the lives of others. God is teaching us to align with Him and to declare and to decree His truth over our lives to see reversal take place. Several people already testified to seeing a shift take place in their lives and together we are trusting God to complete what He has begun!

Richard then spoke to us about "The Father's testimony." In his message, Richard showed us that just as believing the testimony of the Father about Jesus gives life (1 John 5:9-12), so believers must replace any false testimony they are carrying with the Father's testimony about them. Jesus carried the Father's testimony about Him and did not depend on His own testimony about Himself nor the testimony of man about Him (John 5:31-37). Likewise believers must know what the Father says about them and carry His testimony about them. Consequently we looked at Ephesians 1:3-14 to see how God sees us and to allow the Father to reverse our thinking concerning the testimony we carry about ourselves. In response many came forward for prayer and for the Father to declare His testimony over their lives. Hallelujah!
Glory to God!

As we enter the second half of this year of transformation,
God is calling us to pray. After a powerful time of worship and communion on Sunday, Richard shared a message entitled, "180°", in which he spoke to us about how God wants to bring reversal in our lives, our church and our city as we humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and repent (see 2 Chron 7:14-16). In response to God's Word to us, Richard is calling KLF to pray for 180 days to see 180° reversal in different areas of our lives that are not aligned to God's will and purposes. Going on this journey of repentance is not just about turning our lives away from sin but also turning around the way we think, speak, act and expect as God gives us revelation of His will and His Kingdom. Richard also showed us that as God's people and as those who live in the glorious freedom of the children of God, the Lord has made us His sanctuary and His dominion to bring about reversal wherever we are (see Rom 8:18-21; Ps 114). Beginning on Wednesday, the 7 August and concluding on February the 2nd, KLF will pray for 180 days to see a 180° reversal as we embark on this exciting journey of repentance.

We praise God for His promise to forgive our sins and heal our land and to bring reversal when we align our lives to Him. Halelujah!
Glory to God!

Prayer is the key to transformation! God is calling His people to pray and to seek His face. In his message entitled "4D Prayer," Richard spoke to us about how wrong expectations can stop us from seizing God's Kingdom and how the believer can grow in prayer and learn to bring heaven on earth.

Looking at Matthew 11:1-19, we noted how John the Baptist's expectations caused him to question whether Jesus was truly "the one who was to come" and how Jesus pointed to the evidence of the Kingdom; the healing of the sick, the raising of the dead and the preaching of the good news to prove that "the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing." Jesus uses the incident to speak to the people about their expectations concerning John the Baptist and Jesus, showing them that they are a generation that expects God to be and act according to their expectations, rather than trusting in the advancement of the kingdom and taking hold of it as God reveals it! Understanding that God wants us to learn to see and hear what He is doing and to take hold of it, Richard showed us how the believer can grow in prayer and learn to pray heaven on earth. Comparing prayer to running, Richard showed us that the believer will only grow in prayer as his or her prayer life moves from discipline, to desire, to dependency and to development. Prayer is to be more than just as regular activity or discipline but must become something the believer desires and depends on in his or her spiritual walk and relationship with God so that s/he can reach a place of communion with God where s/he is hearing and seeing what God is saying and doing. It is in that place of prayer that the believer can develop in prayer as s/he learns to "forcefully lay hold of" the Kingdom. Rather than becoming discouraged and doubtful because of wrong expectations and expecting God to dance to our tune, the believer learns to recognise how the Kingdom is forcefully advancing and how s/he can lay hold of it to bring heaven on earth. Finally, as we looked at Romans 8:18-21, we saw how all of creation is eagerly awaiting the revelation of the sons of God and how it is the responsibility of every believer to lead others into the glorious freedom of the children of God as we bring heaven on earth! Hallelujah!
We praise God for His revelation to us and for teaching us to pray.
