Hearing from Heaven

Image courtesy of imagerymajestic at freedigitalphotos.net

Glory to God!

As Christ's return draws ever closer, the Lord is preparing His people - encouraging, edifying and exhorting the Church to be ready. God is encouraging us to take hold of our new identity in Him, edifying us with the power of the Holy Spirit to walk in our new identiy and exhorting us to live holy lives, seperate from this world but influencing it with God's righteousness and power.

Two Sundays ago Richard spoke to us about the reality of the believer's citizenship in heaven. Looking at Acts 22:22-29, Richard explained the price of our citizenship, the privilege of our citizenship, the power of our citizenship and the purpose of our citizenship in heaven. You can listen to the message "Citizens of Heaven" here.

  • Price of citizenship - Jesus paid the price for our citizenship with His blood. 1 Peter 1:17-19
  • Privilege of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we have access to the limitless possibilities of God. Ephesians 2:18,19
  • Power of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we can stand against the work of the enemy. 2 Cor. 10:3-5
  • Purpose of citizenship - As citizens of heaven we are called to walk in H.O.P.E. (Holiness, Overcoming faith, Perseverance and Expectation). 1 Peter 1

The Church is called to live as citizens of heaven in this world! John 17:15-19; Eph. 2:19; Phil. 3:20

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there,
the Lord Jesus Christ." Phil 3:20

This past weekend we had a powerful time as Francois Botes and Alexander Blair ministered to us in our Hearing from Heaven conference. On Friday evening, Francois spoke to us about the 4 Beast Kingdoms described in Daniel 2 and 7 and showed us the devlopment of world kingdoms as they relate to God's kingdom purposes. Francois' clear teaching helped us understand the times and revealed God's word to the Church to be seperate from the world and not to allow mixture! You can listen to Francois' message entitled, "The Four Beast Kingdoms" here.

On Saturday afternoon, Francois and Alexander taught the church very practically on the prophetic, explaining the difference between the spirit of prophecy, the gift of prophecy and the office of the prophet as well as equipping the church to prophesy as we applied what we learned and prophesied over one another. It was wonderful to see God use the saints to encourage one another simply and powerfully. You can listen to the session entitled, "Realms of Prophecy" here, and the session entitled "Let's get practical," here.

On Saturday evening, Alexander shared a message on "How to receive from God" which you can listen to here. In his message, Alexander showed us from the account of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5, how to receive from God by hearing, speaking, and acting on the truth of God. On both Friday and Saturday evenings, Francois and Alexander ministered prophetically to many people who confirmed that what God was saying to them through Francois and Alexander, was true.

On Sunday, Francois spoke to us from Genesis 29, relating the account of Jacob, Laban, Leah and Rachel to God's promises in our own lives. In his powerful message, Francois showed us how God's promises for the future can be delayed if we do not embrace, and are not faithful to, what He gives us in the present. You can listen to Francois' message entitled, "Birth of Praise," here.

We praise God for not only speaking to us through Francois and Alexander but for also ministering to us and equipping us to move in the prophetic.

In the roar of His waterfall

 Image from freedigitalphotos.net

"Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls." Psalm 42:7

 Glory to God!

These past weeks have been very exciting, inspiring, challenging and encouraging. It was a great pleasure to have Bengt Wedemalm minister to us a few weeks ago with a message about how Jesus was indeed the One whom John the Baptist expected and whom we can expect today to heal the sick, to deliver those oppressed by the enemy and to save the lost! Bengt also emphasised that in Christ, the believer has received everything s/he needs! The Messiah has come and is at work today because He is the same yesterday, today and forever! You can listen to Bengt's message here.

A couple of Sundays ago, Francois Botes ministered to us and spoke to us about the End Times, looking at what the signs of Christ's return are. Francois ministered prophetically to us and together we responded to God's Word in song and proclamation. God's Word to us through Francois was clear: "Now is the time. No more waiting." You can listen to Francois' message here.

Last week our KLF leadership team spent two days away to pray and hear what is on God's heart for the church. As a team, we used the time to strengthen our relationships, seek God together, prophesy over one another and simply enjoy our fellowship together. We also spent time looking at God's purpose for KLF and how we are organising ourselves as a church to fulfill God's call. It was a very powerful time together and we sense God has taken us to a new level as a team and as a church to move with what God is doing through us locally, nationally and globally.

On Sunday we had an amazing meeting. Worship in song turned into a battle cry that broke down walls and removed obstacles in people's lives as we declared and ministered Christ's victory over each other. Richard then spoke to us about our need to depend on God both when we feel weak as well as when we feel strong. We looked at what it means to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit and how to be filled with Him to be like Jesus. The Lord showed us that He is the God who always proceeds because He is eternal. It became clear that God was calling us to go deeper with Him and so in response to His Word, we entered the waterfall of His ever-proceeding presence to be drenched with His Spirit. It was a very powerful time as we prayed for one another and the Father ministered to His children. It was as though the room was filled with liquid love! You can listen to Richard's message here.

We praise God for His faithfulness and that He is preparing us for Christ's return! Hallelujah!

Francois Botes

Übersetzung hier

Glory to God!

Our Resonating Heaven Conference with Francois Botes was awesome! We truly had a weekend of hearing and experiencing the Father's heart. You can listen to Francois' teaching here.

On Sunday we continued to look at what it means to Live C.H.U.R.C.H:
  • To be a community that lives Christ-centred lives.
  • To be a community that lives holy lives.
  • To be a community that lives in unity.
  • To be a community that lives in relationship.
  • To be a community that co-labours.
  • To be a community that lives healthy lives.
 We then noted the following,
  • Jesus Christ is the head of His body, the Church. Ephesians 4:15,16
  • As a Christ-centred community, the church must submit to the authority, will and wisdom of Christ if she is to be like Him in this world. 1 John 2:6
  • Jesus must become the believer's new reality so that his or her life is viewed and experienced completely in Christ. Galatians 2:20
  • The apostle Paul lived with Christ as his reality. For him, to live was Christ so that Christ became his life. Likewise the believer must learn to live with Christ as his or her reality. Paul writes,
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
“Christ, who is your life..” Colossians 3:4
“To live is Christ.” Philippians 1:21
“Christ is all and is in all.” Colossians 3:11
“And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15
“The reality..is found in Christ.” Colossians 2:17
“Christ in us, the hope of glory” Colossians 1:27
  • The believer is one with Christ. Consequently, the believer can view his or her past, present and future in Christ.
  • Christ is the Medium through which the believer exists and lives for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 8:6
  • God is omnipresent and therefore always present to us. Psalm 139:5-12
  • To live a Christ-centred life is to be present to God. James 4:8

As the Church lives in the reality of Christ and is present to Him, she lives a Christ-centred life.

In response to God's Word to us, we prayed the Truth together to be present to Jesus. You can read the prayer here. We praise God for revealing His truth to us and for helping us to live C.H.U.R.C.H.!

This Saturday we will have our Church Day together. It will be a fun time together as we hear what God is doing with KLF and where He is taking us. It will also be an opportunity to find out more about what takes place behind the scenes at KLF.

Live C.H.U.R.C.H.!

Übersetzung findest du hier.

Glory to God!

Alexander Blair spoke to us at the beginning of the year about 3 doors God is calling us to go through in 2014. Looking at 3 doors mentioned in the Book of Revelation, the Lord showed us that the 3 doors are the Door of Revelation (Rev 4:1) the Door of God's Favour (Rev 3:7,8) and the Door of Consecration (Rev 3:20). You can listen to the sermon here: Positioning yourself for 2014.

Two Sundays ago we had the privilege of having Elias Armenis with us. Elias is founder of Passage to Life, a ministry that reaches out to the poor, the homeless, drug addicts and prostitutes in Athens, Greece. In response to Elias' testimony and report, we joined together in prayer for the needy in Athens and Frankfurt and many went through the door of consecration as they committed themselves to be available to God to go out on the streets and reach out to the poor and needy with the Father's love. For more information on Passage to Life click here.

Last Sunday Richard Morschel spoke to us about what it means to Live C.h.u.r.c.h. Looking at Ephesians 4:15 and 16, we noted the following:
  • We are called to be a community that is Christ-centred.
  • We are called to be a community that lives holy lives.
  • We are called to be a community that lives in unity with one another.
  • We are called to be a community that lives in relationship with one another.
  • We are called to be a community that co-labours.
  • We are called to be a community that lives healthy lives.
You can listen to the sermon here: Christ paid the price so we can be one.

We also heard the testimony of a man who lives on the streets and was invited to come to the service last week. He reported that during the worship God touched him in such a way that he experienced electricity go through his whole body three consecutive times. Consequently he has stopped drinking and believes God has delivered him from alcoholism! Hallelujah!

Elizabeth Nehring and her team have begun their youth discipleship course that will run this year to train and equip our young people in their walk with God.

On Tuesday evenings, KLF will be offering various courses to equip the saints. At present Richard and  Frances Morschel are leading a 3-week course on praying for one another. For more information please contact Frances: office@kingdomlife-frankfurt.com.

We are excited about this coming weekend as we will have the privilege of having Francois Botes with us from Friday to Sunday for our Resonating Heaven conference. For more information on the conference click here.

KLF's  8-week discipleship course will be running from the first Saturday in February and will take place in the afternoons in German and English. If you are part of KLF and are interested in taking part in the course, please contact Frances: office@kingdomlife-frankfurt.com.

Entering God's Best in 2014

Glory to God!

As we enter 2014, we believe that God wants us to enter His best this year. The Father gave us His Best in Jesus so that we can enjoy fullness of life in Him. However, there are things that hinder us from moving into God's best for us.

Fear
  • Fear of the unknown that keeps us in a "safe" place but is not necessarily God's best for us.
  • Fear of taking responsibility for our lives that causes us to depend on others to make our decisions for us.
  • Fear of making wrong decisions that stop us from making any changes.
  • Fear of rejection or loneliness that stops us from moving with the conviction of the Spirit.
  • Fear of failure that stops us from taking risks or experiencing the things of God that are beyond the familiar.
Inactivity
  • Dreaming without action.
  • Just waiting for God to act.
  • Not appreciating and not using one's God-given gifts.
  • Procrastination - putting off what one can begin with now.
  • Not completing what one has started - saying "I will do it" but either never starting or never completing what one has begun.
Independence
  • Pride - thinking of oneself more highly than one ought to stops us from seeking advice from the Holy Spirit, spiritual leaders and others.
  • Pursuing wrong goals stops us from entering God's best for us.
  • Acting apart from the Body of Christ stops us from entering God's best for our lives as part of the Church.
God does not want us to fear, nor does He want us to move forward independently of Him or His people. He commands us to be very courageous and to depend on Him as we move forward into His best for us this year (see Joshua 1).

Living as the Bride of Christ

Glory to God!

The Lord is speaking to us about our identity as His people and yesterday He showed us the following:

New Creations in Christ
  • Those who are born again are new creations in Christ. Jn 3:1-8; 2 Cor 5:17; Eph 2:10
  • As a new creation, the believer leaves the old and enters the new. 2 Cor 5:17
  • The "old" refers to the believer's old identity and the way of life that accompanied that identity. Eph 4:17-24
  • The "new" refers to the believer's new identity and the way of life that accompanies that identity. 2 Cor 5:15
  • The "old" identity is self-centred, independent, isolated, self-sufficient, separated from God and lives to please self. Eph 2:1-3, 12; 4:17-24
  • The "new" identity is God-centred, dependent on God, joined to God and lives for God. Eph 4:24; 2 Cor 5:15
  • The fundamental shift in the believer's mindset and way of life is that s/he must live both as a child of God and as the bride of Christ, the Church.
  • The believer's "vertical" relationship to God cannot be separated from his or her "horizontal" relationship with God's people. Heb 6:10; 1 Jn 4:20
  • Christianity is not a private religion. Born again believers are baptised into the body of Christ and are called to live as the bride of Christ - the "one new man." Eph 2:15
  • Just as husband and wife have to adjust their lives from how they lived when they were single to living as a couple, so the believer has to adjust his or her life as one who was separated from God but is now joined to Christ and the Church. Eph 5:31,32
5 Characteristics of the Bride

The 5 characteristics of living as a child of God and as the bride of Christ are the following:
  1. The believer lives as one who belongs to Christ and belongs to the Church. Eph 1:13-14; 2 Pet 2:9-10; 1 Cor 12:27
  2. The believer lives to reflect Christ as a an individual and as part of His body. 2 Cor 3:18; Jn 13:35
  3. The believer lives to grow in intimacy with God and with His people. Php 3:10; Rom 12:10
  4. The believer lives a life devoted to God and devoted to His people. Acts 2:42-47
  5. The believer lives in expectation of Christ's return individually and collectively as His bride. Titus 2:11-14
The 5 characteristics of the bride of Christ spell B.R.I.D.E. and are demonstrated as the believer lives out his or her new identity as both a child of God and as the bride of Christ.

As we move into 2014, we believe God is going to continue to teach us what it means to be His bride so that we align ourselves to Christ, to His purposes and live as His body, ready for His return!

Christmas Musical

Last Sunday we had a full house with over 150 people attending our KLF Christmas Musical. It was a joy to see everyone involved in making it such a special event. The musical, entitled "Luigi und der Kerzengießer," written by Elizabeth Nehring, was performed by young and older with dance, solos, singing, acting, paintings and much creativity and talent. It was great to see everyone use their gifts for God's glory and to speak the heart of the Father into the lives of those who have not yet encountered the grace of God. We had an abundance of food, cake and coffee so that everyone could simply enjoy being with one another and interacting with and as the body of Christ!

The people of God

Glory to God!

These past few weeks, the Lord has been speaking to us about His purpose for our lives and how He wants us to live in the fullness of what Christ has done for us. He has been showing us that although Christ has accomplished all that the Father has purposed in Him, it is up to the believer to take possession of it. You can listen to the individual sermons here:

God has a plan for you - Elizabeth Nehring
Living from vision - Richard Morschel
God's vision - Richard Morschel

On Sunday the house was full and the presence of God was powerful. It was a time of true fellowship with God and one another as we worshipped together, shared communion together and had pizza and cake after the meeting. What we experienced together was the manifestation of God's Word to us - the glory of the Church. This is what we looked at:
  • Vision is fulfilled desire.
  • God has a vision - a desire which will be fulfilled in the fullness of time. Eph 1:10
  • God's vision is to create in Christ one new man, the Church, from every nation, tribe and tongue to reign on earth. Eph 2:15-22; Rev 5:9,10
  • The Father purposed it. Eph 1:4; 3:10,11
  • Jesus prayed for it. Jn 17:11,21-23
  • Jesus paid for it. Eph 2:15-22
  • All of creation will praise God for it. Rev 5:13
We praise God for His revelation to us of His vision for mankind which He purposed in Christ from eternity to eternity. Hallelujah!

We are excited about our Christmas musical on December 8th. The story, written by Elizabeth Nehring, will be sung, danced and performed by our church family. It will be a great time of fellowship and a special opportunity to see everyone use their gifts to bless people and glorify God. This is also a great event to bring along friends, colleagues and neighbours. Everyone is welcome.

Rebirth Dance Network

Glory to God!

On Sunday we had the privilege of having Daniel with us - an anointed dancer from Rebirth Dance Network (www.rebirthdance.com). After sharing his testimony with us, Daniel demonstrated part of his story with a very moving and powerful dance. As a church, our desire is to express our love for God with the gifts He has given us in a great variety of ways and creative forms. We are starting a creative arts ministry to encourage people to develop their gifts for God's glory. These include dance, photography, poetry, song-writing, painting and much more. As God's masterpieces created in Christ to do good works we want to see God glorified with the manifold gifts in the Church. We are excited to have been introduced to Daniel and his ministry in London and we are looking forward to seeing our relationship develop to particularly touch our young people.

The Lord is speaking to us about His extravagant love and on Sunday He spoke to us about His kindness. Looking at the account of Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9, the Lord showed us His heart toward us despite the things that have "crippled" us in life. The Lord is giving us greater revelation of His love that is beyond and above anything we can possibly ask for or imagine. Hallelujah!

Starting next week we will be running another 8-week KLF discipleship course. We have already run 3 courses and are aiming at taking the whole church through this foundational course on "Living from the Spirit." We are receiving wonderful testimonies of changed lives from those who have gone through the course! Praise God!

Living as God's people

Glory to God!

The Lord is continuing to build a tabernacle of worship with KLF. Yesterday we experienced the upon-ness of the glory of God as we worshipped Him. Subsequently the Lord ministered to His people through prophetic Words that encouraged people and confirmed what He is saying to us as a church.

The Lord is speaking to us about worship and yesterday He showed us the following:
  • Worship is the response to the revelation of God.
  • Worship is also the response to the grace of God.
  • The grace of God extends to the believer's past (has been saved - Eph 2:6), present (is being saved - Acts 2:47; 2 Cor 2:15; 1 Pet 1:9) and future (will be saved - Matt 24:13; Rom 5:10).
  • The believer must depend on the grace of God for salvation (past, present and future).
  • Worship is responding to God's grace with thankfulness - an attitude of gratitude.
  • The best way to honour the Giver is not only to thank Him but also to use the gifts He has given!
  • In Christ, the believer has received every spiritual gift in the heavenly realms. Eph 1:3
  • There is much to be thankful for and there are many gifts to use.
  • The believer must not dishonour God by receiving God's grace in vain. 2 Cor 6:1; 1 Cor 15:9,10
  • We worship God when we use the gifts He has given us.
  • One of the greatest gifts we have in Christ is our new identity in Him.
  • The believer worships God as He thanks God for his new identity in Christ but especially when He lives from that new identity!
  • The believer's new identity in Christ should be one of the primary motivations to live a holy life.
  • The writers of the NT constantly remind the Church about her identity in Christ as the reason for holy living. 2 Cor 6:14-7:1; Eph 4:22-24; 5:8-10; Col 3:1:1-4, 12; 1 Pet 2:9-11; 1 John 3:1.

We then split up into small groups to look at 1 Peter 2:9-11 and to explore the implications of having received the gift of our new identity in Christ (a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, and aliens and strangers). The challenge was to identify what our lives should look like if we truly believe we have received a new identity in Christ. For more on this subject click here.

We praise God for showing us what it really means to worship Him with our lives and we praise Him for the abundant grace He has poured into our lives!

Upcoming events

08.12. - KLF Christmas Musical @ 15:00 at Eastsite 15
24.01. - 26.01. - Worship seminar with Francois Botes

Quote of the week

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul." 1 Peter 2:9-11

A Call to Intimacy

Glory to God!

God is calling His Bride to intimacy with Him so that she will be ready for when He returns! This is what the Lord has been saying to us in various ways in recent weeks through Richard Maybery, Richard Morschel, Suzette Hattingh, Alexander Blair and Francois Botes. You can listen to the messages by clicking on the titles:

Richard Maybery: Building Friendship with God
Richard Morschel: God's Hidden Ones
Suzette Hattingh: Prophetic Dream
Alexander Blair: The Lord of Hosts

Yesterday the Lord ministered to us through the Song of Songs as Francois Botes led us into the very heart of God. Francois led us to sing God's Word together and to sing prophetically over one another as the Lord spoke through Francois. It was very powerful and we witnessed how the Father gently softened and healed the hearts of His people and immersed His Bride in His love. We praise God for His faithfulness and His passion for His people.

On the 4th of May, Richard and Frances Morschel led a Pastoral Training Day with the purpose of introducing an 8 week Discipleship Training Course that we are looking to take the whole church through. We studied what a disciple is, what a disciple does and the process of discipleship. We also looked at the nature of man and how discipleship relates to Christian counselling. After a morning of teaching we spent the afternoon rededicating our lives to the Lord and being filled with the Holy Spirit. We praise God for the reviving work He is doing in KLF! Further introductory sessions will take place on the 20th and the 30th of May.
