Building a culture of honour

Glory to God!

We are continuing to hear testimonies of God healing people in our midst and are thrilled with what God is doing at KLF! Yesterday we took time to honour and thank our leaders for their amazing work. Building a culture of honour creates an atmosphere for miracles, signs and wonders! As the people of God honour one another, honour each other's responsibilities and honour the anointing, so God's Kingdom is manifested (see Mt 10:41; 13:53-58; 1 Thess 5:12,13; Heb 13:17)!

Yesterday's meeting was very powerful as the Holy Spirit called us to rise up in Christ's Spirit of Victory and use His Name and the authority in Him to overcome hindrances, oppression of the enemy, sickness and anything in our lives that is not submitted to Jesus. The Lord is calling His people to rise up in the authority given to us in order to advance His rule and reign. Alexander then preached a message on "Understanding our authority in prayer," in which he showed us that the Church must learn to realise and exercise her authority in prayer as children of God, as friends of God and as the Bride of Christ.

As we build a culture of honour and walk in the divine authority of our identity in Christ, we will see an even greater manifestation of heaven on earth!

Healings

 (The Celebration Team)

Glory to God!

It's happening! God is healing people in our midst! On Sunday we heard testimonies of people being healed in the meeting of a sore throat, a skin rash (disappeared during worship), stomach pain, leg pain and testimonies of people who were healed in previous meetings after being prayed for: prolonged stomach issues, back problems, pain in the foot, and a severely stiffened hand were all healed. We also heard testimonies of people receiving powerful encounters with God in dreams, visions and of healings of colleagues in the workplace after prayer and God's favour on people in the workplace. We are amazed and excited about what God is doing and we are trusting God for even greater manifestations of His presence and power. What we are seeing happening was prophesied over our pastors and KLF a few months ago when Ed Traut and André Bronkhorst prophesied that we would move into the supernatural and that KLF would become known as a place of healing. Glory to God!

On Sunday we took time to honour our wonderful celebration team (picture from left to right: Natalie, Aris, Moriah-Jane, Jane and Wesley) as well as our hospitality team leaders, Mary and Rekha who organised and helped make our 10th anniversary celebration weekend such a success. We also honoured all the mothers as we gave them a rose each and prayed for them.

Looking at John 14:1-4 and 15-21, Richard shared a brief message entitled, "God with us" in which he showed us that God not only prepares a place for us to dwell with Him in the future in heaven but that the Lord has made His dwelling place in and among His people to reveal His love and power. Richard encouraged us to expect the manifestation of God's Kingdom and not to limit the supernatural through human reasoning. Through the testimonies, the Word and the subsequent healings, it is clear that God is establishing His huperballo (exceeding, abundant, beyond the boundary) culture of heaven in KLF. Hallelujah!

On Saturday our youth leaders and some of our youth attended an exciting event in Bad Gandersheim called, Outbreak. Thorsten made a video clip of their trip that was shown during the meeting on Sunday. They had a brilliant time and came back tired but encouraged and enthusiastic!

KLF's 10th Anniversary

Glory to God!

This past weekend KLF celebrated her 10th anniversary. The fun began on Friday evening with a Holywood Party where many came dressed up to attend our very own Oscar night where oscars were awarded for catagories like: best hair, best worshipper, most punctual, shortest sermon, and other silly catagories. The evening was hosted by Moriah-Jane and Chris and interspersed with musical contributions from our wonderfully talented people, young and oldish. On Saturday morning many got together for a KLF picnic in the park and in the evening we continued our celebration with our Night of the Nations where we enjoyed a delicious dinner together, followed by a KLF talent night with many different contributions from many different nations. Our talented people performed poetry, songs, creative writing, dance, classical music, sketches, jokes and the like - it was great fun to see and hear the variety of gifted people in our church family. On Sunday we concluded the weekend celebrations with a thanksgiving service in which we gave God the glory for His faithfulness and thanked the people who have been a significant part of our journey as a church. It was a very special time to honour one another and to celebrate all the good things God has done these past 10 years. Richard then shared a message on 10 lessons he learned from the past 10 years in which he spoke about some of the things he has learned over the years. This is what he shared:
  1. God is faithful even when I am not. God works despite me. 2 Tim 2:13; Gal. 3:5
  2. I know in part, then I shall know fully even as I am fully known. 1 Cor 13:12
  3. Power comes out of intimacy. Mt 6:6
  4. People are more important than purpose. It is more important to love than to achieve. Jn 21:15-17
  5. It is easier to start something than to sustain something. James 1:4
  6. Forgiveness sets free. Col 3:3
  7. God’s purposes are unstoppable. Is 9:6,7
  8. The Kingdom is huperballo. Eph 3:20,21
  9. True love perseveres. Prov 18:24
  10. The Church is the glory of God in imperfect vessels. 2 Cor 4:6,7
Bishop Sony Okpekpe concluded the meeting with a prayer of blessing, followed by a presentation of our anniversary cake by Ngozikaego. It was wonderful to catch up with old friends and to spend so much time together as a church family over the weekend. We are so grateful to God for what He has done and continues to do with us and we are looking forward to seeing even greater things in the future. Hallelujah!

A couple of weeks ago, we had the privilege of having Myrna Gabilan with us from WYAM Frankfurt, who spoke to us about growing in our knowledge of God in order to make Him known. Richard then spoke to us about being born of imperishable seed to live the Gospel life of hope, faith and love. As part of the Jonah Project, we are seeing how God is speaking to us about reaching the Lost and carrying His heart for our city and the nations.
