Living the Kingdom life

Glory to God!

It has been another exciting week with God! Hallelujah!

On Saturday, the KLF worship team joined Suzette Hattingh and Gayle Claxton of Voice in the City for their Arise Shine! meetings that the Lord is using to equip the Body in Frankfurt with His truth, His presence and His power.

Yesterday KLF had another New Life Celebration as we celebrated new life in Christ through baptism. You can see pictures of the meeting here. The Lord spoke to us about our lives in Him and this is what He showed us concerning living the Kingdom life:

  1. The believer has been rescued from the kingdom of darkness and has been brought into the Kingdom of God. Col- 1:13
  2. The believer has been reconciled to God and is made one with Him. Rom. 6:3-11; 2 Cor. 5:18-20; Col. 3:1-3; John 17:20,21
  3. The believer has been regenerated and has received a new life in Christ. John 1:12,13; 3:3-8; 1 Pet. 1:23; 2 Cor. 5:17
  4. The believer is to remain in Christ. John 15:4-8
  5. The believer is to realise the truth by faith. Gal. 2:20; John 14:20
  6. The believer is to reveal the person of Christ in him/her through obedience. 1 John 4:12; John 3:30; 14:23
  7. The believer is to release the power of Christ by doing the works of Jesus. Eph. 1:19; 2:10; Mt. 28:20

"They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor." Isaiah 61:3

We praise God for His continuing revelation to us! Glory to Him!

This coming weekend we will have another exciting opportunity to bless the poor and needy as we share God's presence, power and love with them.

Quote of the week:

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Gal. 2:20

Times of refreshing!

Hallelujah!

These are exciting times! These are indeed "times of refreshing from the Lord!" (Acts 3:19,20)

Last weekend we were privileged and blessed to have Mike and Kay Chance with us for our KLF Training Days. You can listen to 3 sessions here and you can view pictures of the Sunday meeting here. We are excited about building with Mike and Kay as they have had years of experience of building God's Kingdom here in Germany with a faith dynamic that is stirring this nation. The weekend with them was very powerful and we look forward to seeing them again later this year. Our next training days will be on the 22nd and 23rd May with Bengt Wedemalm!

The leadership of KLF attended the Kingdom Faith leaders' conference at the beginning of this week and has returned full of faith and expectation, having received great encouragement through the teaching, the anointing and the presence of God in the meetings! We are blessed to be part of the move of God that is happening through Kingdom Faith and the anointing that is being released through our covenant relationship with KF. Glory to God!

This weekend we are looking forward to being part of the Arise Shine! conference organised by Voice in the city and we expect God to once again bring life-changing revelation and liberating encounters with Him through worship and the teaching of His Word.

On Sunday KLF will not be meeting at TPLF but at the Baptist church in Frankfurt-Eschersheim at 3pm for another exciting New Life Celebration when we will be baptising new believers and celebrating their new lives in Christ! Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you - even Jesus." Acts 3:19,20

Praying in the name of Jesus

Glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords!

Last week was amazing! On Tuesday the church was called to fast and pray and consequently we had a dynamic time together at our Tuesday evening prayer meeting! Hallelujah! The Lord is continuing to teach us how to pray and yesterday he spoke to us about what it means to pray in the name of Jesus:

  • We are to pray in the name of Jesus. John 16:23,26
  • To do anything in the name of another is to represent that person.
  • A name is only as significant as the person it represents.
  • The more we know a person, the more significant that person's name becomes to us.
  • In order to truly represent somebody, one must be able to be that person.
  • In the natural one can only emulate another person.
  • In the spiritual the believer has received the Spirit to be able to be just like Jesus and to reveal Him.
  • Jesus came in the name of the Father to reveal the Father. John 14:9-11; 17:11
  • The Holy Spirit has come in the name of Jesus to reveal Jesus. John 14:26; 16:14
  • The believer has been given the name of Jesus in order to reveal Him by the Holy Spirit. John 17:18
  • The believer is to live in Jesus' name if he is to pray in Jesus' name! Col. 3:12-17
  • The believer is to represent Jesus as He is in heaven! Col. 3:1-3; 1 John 4:17; Eph. 1:17-23

In response to God's awesome revelation to us, we prayed for one another in the glorious name of Jesus and many people were deeply touched by the Father. Hallelujah!

This week is going to be another exciting week with God and we are particularly looking forward to the weekend when we will have our KLF Training Days with Mike and Kay Chance.

Quote of the week:

"When we pray to the Father it must be in Jesus' name. The name represents the person. To ask in His name is to ask in full union of interest, life, and love with Himself, as one who lives in and for Him. Let the name of Jesus have undivided supremacy in my heart and life! My faith will grow to the assurance that what I ask for in that Name cannot be refused. The Name and the power of asking go together. When the name of Jesus has become the power that rules my life, its power with God will be seen too. Everything depends on my relationship to the Name. The power it has on my life is the power it will have in my prayers....When it is everything to me, it will obtain everything for me. If I let it have all I have, it will let me have all it has." (Andrew Murray, With Christ in the school of prayer)

Obedience

Praise God!

We are excited about what God is doing in us and through us! The Lord is continuing to speak to us about prayer and yesterday He showed us the following:

  • Jesus was heard because of His reverend submission to the Father. Heb. 5:7
  • Jesus always knew the will of the Father when He prayed - He did not pray, "IF it be your will.." Mathew 26:36-46
  • Jesus' absolute submission to the Father meant He was willing to suffer the consequences of doing God's will and not His own, even to the point of death on the cross! Matthew 26:39
  • Nothing mastered Jesus apart from the Father - neither Jesus' flesh, the world or the devil! The disciples however, allowed their flesh to master them even though their spirits were willing! Matthew 26:42, 43
  • The believer is a slave to whatever masters him. 2 Peter 2:19; 1 Cor. 6:12,13; 1 Cor. 9:27
  • Even though Jesus was a Son (identity), He learned obedience from what He suffered. Heb. 5:8
  • Suffering is the consequence of living according to God's will when it conflicts with the will of the flesh, the world and the devil. Gal. 5:17
  • Our faith is tested when we obey God's will despite the consequences.
  • When we are willing to suffer for doing God's will we become mature/ complete just as Jesus learned obedience through suffering and was made perfect (mature/complete). Heb. 5:9
  • God wants His children to be obedient unto holiness. Heb. 12:10,11
  • The purpose of obedience is to become mature in holiness. Heb.5:9; 12:10
  • The goal of obedience is to reach the lost, the sick and the oppressed with the Source of life within us! Heb.5:9; Is. 58:6,7; John 7:37-39
  • Holiness produces a harvest of righteousness and peace! Heb.12:10,11

If we aren't obedient in secret, we will not be obedient in public!

The Lord's presence was awesome yesterday and many were touched spiritually, emotionally and physically by the Father! Thank you Lord for saving, healing and delivering your people! Hallelujah!

We are looking forward to the 20 - 22 March when we will have our KLF training days with Mike and Kay Chance!

Quote of the week:

"Jesus replied, 'If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching." John 14:23,24

A people of the Word

Glory to the King of kings!

This past week the Lord has been revealing more to us about His Word - both His prophetic Word as well as his written Word. Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about how we need to be a people not only IN the Word but also OF the word! This is what He showed us:

God has placed certain conditions for our prayers to be answered:
  • We must remain in Him (John 15:7)
  • Jesus' words must remain in us (John 15:7)
  • We must produce fruit that will last (John 15:16)
  • Our hearts must not condemn us (1 John 3:21)
  • We must obey God and do what pleases Him (1 John 3:22)
  • We must pray according to his will (1 John 5:14)

The Lord then showed us what it means for the Word to remain in us:

  • To remain is to abide, dwell, live etc. (Col.3:16)
  • The Word is not a formula that is to remain in the mind but rather is to be a revelation that is to remain in the heart (Mat.13:15)
  • We need to understand the Word by the Spirit in the heart (1 Cor.2:9-14)
  • The "knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven" is received through spiritual revelation (Mat.13:11, 1 Cor.2:12)

In order to receive spiritual revelation and understanding we must have "a good and noble heart" (Luke 8:15) which means we need to have:

  1. A clean heart (Ps.66:18,19)
  2. A believing heart that trusts the Word (Rom.4:20,21)
  3. An objective heart that receives the Word as it is (John 17:8)
  4. A teachable heart that allows God to change us (Mat.13:15)
  5. A submissive heart that comes under the authority of the Word and obeys it (2 Tim.3:16)

  • Obedience is the key to releasing spiritual revelation, understanding, knowledge and wisdom! (Mat.13:8,12,23)
  • When we obey God's Word we are set apart so that we are of the Word and not of the world (John 17:14-18)
  • Just as "the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us" so are we to be a revelation of the Living Word in us (John 1:14)
  • The believer is in the world but not of the world as he is in the Word and of the Word!

It is when the Word is understood in the heart by the Spirit and obeyed that the Word remains in the heart and the believer becomes a person of the Word.

We praise God for His revelation to us and showing us how to become a people powerful in prayer. Yesterday evening we had another wonderful opportunity to bless the poor and needy at our monthly homeless mission. The Lord glorified His name as He touched people's lives with His healing power as we prayed for them and shared God's Word with them. Hallelujah! God always proves His Word!

Quote of the week:

"If you remain in me and my word remains in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." John 15:7,8
