Trusting God in uncertain times
Glory to God!
We had a powerful meeting on Sunday as we worshipped the Lord and declared Christ's authority over our land during these turbulent times. As we took our stand against fear and intimidation, we were filled with faith and the assurance that God sustains all things by the power of His word (Heb 1:3)!
Natalie then shared KLF's leadership's position and advice on how we want to move forward as a church in the next few weeks. You can listen to what she shared here: "Corona Epidemic Opportunities."
"Trusting God in uncertain times" was the theme of Richard's message in which we looked at how Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert for 40 days to be tempted by the devil (Matthew 4). Richard showed us that while we are required by the government to isolate ourselves that we must not be unaware of how the enemy will try to use these circumstances to place doubt in our identity as children of God and doubt in God as our Provider and Protector. We saw how the enemy tempted Jesus to provide for himself, put the Lord to the test as His Protecter and how the enemy wants God's children to be consumed with fear and thinking about the virus rather than having their hearts and minds on Christ in worship of Him. Richard encouraged us to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and to rest in the shadow of the Almighty as we feed on God's Word, abide in Him and fix our eyes on Him as our Refuge and our Fortress in whom we trust (Ps 91:1,2).
As we "honour the king" (1 Pet 2:17) and respect the requirements of the government, we will not be meeting during the week or on Sundays until further notice. All meetings are therefore suspended for the time being but we encourage everyone to make every effort to stay connected through the various avenues of communication available to us.
Let God be your Provider, your Protector and your Priority during these uncertain times!

Christ's Passion for His Church
Glory to God!
In this year of transformation, we are seeing how God wants to bring reversal into our lives, the Church and our cities. As we continue on this powerful journey of repentance during our 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal, we are seeing how God is revealing His love to us in an even greater measure. Just as the apostle Paul was compelled by Christ's love to lay down his own life to serve the Lord, His people and His purposes, so the Lord is stirring us to repentance and action as we grasp the depth of Christ's love for us.
We are excited about this season we are in where God is adding to our number, more young people are joining us, the church is getting together during the week, and different types of meetings are being organised for people to grow in their relationship with God and one another.
Two weeks ago Tobias shared a message entitled, "The two sacrifices" in which he spoke to us about the difference between Cain and Abel's sacrifices. Looking at the account in Genesis 4:2-12, Tobias showed us how Abel's sacrifice foreshadowed Christ as the sacrificial Lamb of God, whom God would accept on behalf of mankind. Whilst Cain's sacrifice points to man's effort to attain righteousness apart from Jesus, Abel's sacrifice points to the righteousness that is found by faith in Christ's sacrifice. Just as God looked upon Abel and his offering with favour (Gen 4:4), so the Father looks upon His Son and His sacrifice with favour. Even though "by faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did" and "By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead," the blood of Jesus "speaks a better word than the blood of Abel" (Heb 11:4; 12:24)! In response, Tobias' Life Group shared Scriptures and the Lord's Supper with the church that developed into a very precious time of worship that went beyond the conclusion of the meeting! God is stirring His people with His love!
On Sunday, after another powerful time in worship and sharing Communion together, Richard spoke to us about "Christ's passion for His Church." Looking at the seven letters to the seven churches as recorded in Revelation chapters two and three, Richard showed us that the reason Jesus wants His Church to overcome is because He is passionate about His people. Christ's Word to the churches reveals that He wants to be her first love (Rev 2:3-5); He wants His people to be with Him for eternity (Rev 2:10); He wants to confide in us (Rev 2:17); He wants to entrust us with authority (Rev 2:26); He wants to honour us (Rev 3:4,5); He wants to establish us in Him (Rev 3:11,12) and He wants to share everything with us (Rev 3:20,21). It is therefore not surprising that the apostle Paul prays that the Church would have the power to grasp "how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge" (Eph 3:18,19) because it should compel us to live for God, His people and His salvation purposes! Hallelujah!

The Glory of Christ!
Glory to God!
As a church, we are on a journey of repentance - 180 days of prayer for 180° reversal! During these days of prayer and reflection, God has recently been speaking to us about the nature and glory of the Church. With the daily devotionals that Richard is writing and what is being shared on a Sunday, the Lord is bringing reversal in our thinking as we align ourselves to God's Word and revelation. We are being encouraged, challenged and stretched as God transforms us with His presence, truth and power! Hallelujah!
A couple of Sundays ago, Richard shared a message entitled, "Is your church on TripAdvisor?" In his sermon, Richard challenged us to see whether we approach Church like a restaurant or whether we understand God's view of the Church. As he compared "McChurch" to the true Church, Richard showed us that the Church should not be treated like a restaurant but as God has birthed her and purposed her in Christ. Looking at the analogies used in the Bible to describe the Church, such as branches in the Vine (John 15), a building whose architect is God (1 Cor 3; Eph 2:21,22; Heb 3:1-6; 1 Pet 2:4,5), the human body (1 Cor 12:12-27) and a nation that belongs to God (1 Pet 2:9,10), we learned that each have the following in common: Dependance on Christ, connection, equality, significant members, and purpose. The answer to the question whether our church is on TripAdvisor was therefore answered with a clear, "No!" as we are not a McChurch that is evaluated according to what customers think but we are the glory of Christ, the revelation of Jesus to the world!
On Saturday we had a brilliant time together at the Naturfreundehaus in Niederrad. We got together for a fun afternoon and evening of games, coffee and cake, fellowship, grilling, open stage, face painting, praise and worship and more; simply enjoying each other and getting to know each other better. We were even joined by local refugee kids who felt quite at home with us and played with the other children and even joined us during praise and worship. We loved the location and are sure to meet there again in the Summer next year! Thanks to all who organised and contributed toward the wonderful time we had together!
Having celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last week, Richard spoke to us on Sunday about the relationship and profound connection between marriage and the Church. In his sermon entitled, "Strong marriage, strong church!" Richard gave us four keys to a strong marriage and thus to a strong church as we looked at Ephesians 5:21-33. Based on their own experience as a couple, Richard shared what he and Frances have learned over the years that has helped them to have a good marriage. The four keys are Commitment, that is rooted in living in covenant, Consideration, Communication and Compassion. All four are essential for a strong marriage and a strong church! We had a lot of fun exploring each key and learning how important each key is for marriage and for the Church to reflect Christ.

Building God's House
Glory to God!
God is building His house! In his message entitled, "Living Bethels for God," Alexander spoke to us a couple of Sundays ago about Jacob's encounter with the Lord in Genesis 28:10-19. Looking at the account, Alexander showed us how God is building His house, the Church, to be a house of prayer, a house of encounter, a house of God's presence, a house of worship under an open heaven, a house established upon God's Word and a house that attracts angelic activity.
We are on an exciting journey of discovering our identity in Christ as God's house, His people, the Church, and what that means for each of us in our daily lives. As identity determines responsibility, we are seeing what God expects of us as we understand who He has created us to be in Christ!
As a growing church we are faced with the challenge of building community with a people from many different nationalities, cultures, backgrounds, and walks in life that congregate on a Sunday from far and near. In order to facilitate growth, connectivity, care, fellowship, use of gifts, strengthening of relationships, spiritual growth, discipleship, etc. we believe our people need to meet together in small groups during the week. For this purpose we are emphasising and establishing Life Groups across Frankfurt and surrounding region where people meet at someone's home in groups of 10 -15 people to encourage one another, care for one another, worship and pray together and explore God's Word together. Life Groups are a wonderful way to become a significant part of the church and the fulfillment of God's vision for His people.
In order to give our people a taste of what Life Groups are like, we decided to surprise the church and have the entire worship service in the coffee area at KLF. We arranged the tables and chairs for people to sit in groups of 8 people; Antje and Cyrus led the worship as we sang from prepared song sheets, Richard shared a message, translated by Vicky and had sheets prepared for everyone to take notes. Every table was led by a table host who then led a time for discussion with questions relating to the sermon that was then followed by sharing the Lord's Supper together around each table. Alexander then wrapped everything up, explaining the importance of Life Groups and why we decided to surprise the church with a different form of meeting. Everyone was positively surprised and enjoyed our unusual church meeting very much.
In his message, entitled, "The Law of Christ," Richard spoke to us about why God expects us to love one another. Richard showed us 10 reasons why believers should love one another:
- Jesus commands us to love one another. Jn 13:34
- It is God's nature in whose image we are made. 1 Jn 4:8
- God loved us first. 1 Jn 4:19
- It proves that Jesus came and that the Father loves us. Jn 17:23
- It is the fruit of the Gospel - the evidence that we have been united to Christ. Col 1:3-6; Jn 13:35
- It assures us of our salvation. 1 Jn 4:16-18
- It reveals the fulfilment of God's reconciliatory purposes in Christ. Col 1:19,20
- It should be our highest goal. 1 Cor 14:1
- It benefits others. Gal 6:2
- It leads to maturity in Christ. Eph 4:1-16
As Alexander pointed out, God is shifting KLF from the inner sanctuary into the outer courts and beyond as we seek to reach up, reach in and reach out to fulfill God's vision for the church which is Christ! Hallelujah!

Christ in us!
Photo by Kelly Sikkema on Unsplash
As we continue on this exciting journey of learning to live the Kingdom life, the Lord is urging us to follow Him wholeheartedly. In his message entitled, "Make up your mind!" Alexander spoke to us a couple of weeks ago about what it means to follow God and be set apart for Him. Looking at the account of Elijah on Mount Carmel in 1 Kings 18, Alexander showed us how the Lord does not want us to "waver between two opinions" but believe that the Lord is God and follow Him! Just as Elijah stood alone in God's presence, not fearing man and as he built an altar for God, aligned himself to God's Word, understood his identity, presented an offering to God, soaked the offering and depended on God, so believers must learn to live before God, not fearing man, rebuild the "altars" that are broken in their lives, align themselves to God's truth, live according to their identity in Christ, present themselves as "living sacrifices," be emptied of self and be soaked with the Spirit as they completely depend on God. Alexander encouraged us to stand firm in God's Kingdom to be salt and light in this world so that the Lost are awakened and the Church is revived! Hallelujah!
On Sunday Richard shared a message entitled, "Let Christ be formed inyou" in which he explained how we cannot live in Christ unless He lives in us. Using the analogy of a pregnant woman, Richard showed us the following:
- Unless Christ lives in us, we cannot live in Christ.
- Those who believe in Jesus, receive Christ's life - Eternal Life. 1 Jn 5:10-12
- The apostle Paul lived by faith in Christ in him. Gal 2:20; Phil 1:21; Col 3:4
- Christ's life is real! 1 Jn 1:1,2
- Life is living and active. By definition it grows, reproduces, responds and continually changes.
- To live in Christ is to walk like Christ. 1 Jn 2:6
- For Christ to live in us, He must be formed in us. Gal 4:19
- For Christ's life to be formed in us, we must believe the truth, commune with the truth and respond to the truth of Christ in us.

Get Ready!
Glory to God!
During this Advent season, as we look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus, the Lord has been speaking to us about getting ready for His return. The Holy Spirit has been showing us that we must know whether our faith is genuine; that we have a real enemy whom we are to resist and that we know whether we are ready for Christ's return.
2 Sundays ago Antje shared a message entitled, "The lion and the lamb" which you can listen to here. In her sermon, Antje showed us that the believer has a very real enemy of the soul who prowls around like a lion ready to devour us (1 Pt 5:6). She showed us the reality, nature and purpose of satan so that the Church is not unaware of his schemes but that she resist him by fixing her eyes on the true Lion and use the weapons God has entrusted her with to overcome.
On Sunday, Frances spoke to us about getting ready for Christ's return in her sermon entitled, "Be prepared!" which you can listen to here. In her message, Frances showed us that when Jesus returns, He will be looking for a people of faith, a people continuously filled with the Holy Spirit, a people without spot or blemish and a people who produce fruit.
We are looking forward to our Christmas Eve Service this Sunday at 10:30 at CZF and our New Year Celebration on the 31st of December from 19:00 - 01:00 at the Awake Café.

Running the race
Glory to God!
This month the Lord has been drawing us ever closer to Him and calling us to a life of reverential worship; a life of gratitude; a life settled, sealed and strengthened in Christ and a life of true sonship in the spirit of forgiveness. Here is what God has been saying to us:
"A life of reverential worship" - Prem spoke to us about true worship and fellowship in the fear of the Lord.
"The power of gratitude" - Richard showed us that gratitude is a form of worship; a weapon against the enemy; the way of peace and the path to contentment.
"Stop wobbling" - Richard spoke to us about God's desire for us to stop wandering, wavering and wobbling but settling our decision for Christ; sealing our commitment to following Christ and strengthening our lives in Christ.
"From revealtion to restoration" - Alexander showed us how a life of true forgiveness in response to God's redeeming love is the key to restoration.
On Sunday our 2 marathon runners, Elizabeth and Richard as well as our relay team runners, Wesley, Jane, Uli, Danni, Muriel, Andreas and 6 others ran the Frankfurt Marathon to RUN for BUTUAN - a project to raise money for street children, orphans and children in need in Butuan City in the Philippines. It was a great opportunity to accomplish personal breakthrough as well as involve family, colleagues and friends outside the church to participate in running for a good cause.

Contemplating Christ
Glory to God
The Lord is continuing to draw us into closer fellowship with Him so that we know Him and become like Him. On Sunday we looked at Hebrews 2:5-3:1 and "considered Jesus, our apostle and High Priest." In his message entitled, "Who is this King?" which you can listen to here, Richard reflected on Christ, showing us that,
Jesus is supreme. Heb 2:5-9
Jesus is the perfect Saviour. Heb 2:9,10
Jesus identifies Himself with us. Heb 2:11-14
Jesus takes us into His fellowship with the Father. Heb 2:12,13; (Jn 17:6,26)
Jesus goes ahead of us. Heb 2:14,15; (Heb 6:19,20)
Jesus is our great High Priest. Heb 2:16-17
Jesus empowers us to overcome. Heb 2:18
We had a very special and powerful time as we contemplated Christ and after reflecting on each aspect of who Jesus is and does, we were led in prayer by Liz, Uwe, Sarah, Prem, Sabine, Antje and Jane respectively. We then shared communion together and enjoyed fellowship with Jesus in the revelation He gave us during the meeting. Hallelujah!

New Life Celebration
Glory to God!
On Sunday we had the joy of baptising 6 new creations in Christ! It was a very special meeting as we celebrated Christ's victory and new life in Christ. Richard reminded us of the Good News in his message entitled, "The power of the Gospel," which you can listen to here. With the help of his three cups and a cross, Richard showed us how God rescues the believer from a life in the kingdom of darkness: a life of sin in which we were separated from God, enemies of God, deserving His wrath and eternal death, to a life in the Kingdom of light: a life of righteousness and holiness in Christ as we are joined to Him and His life for eternity. Richard showed us that the believer enters a realm of grace that enables him to enjoy the closest intimacy to the Father and where he can expect abundantly more than he can ask or imagine because of Christ's righteousness, holiness and redemption (Rom 5:1,2; 1 Cor 1:30)! Hallelujah!
After hearing the testimonies of Ulli, Amen, Danni, Eva, Muriel and Steffi, we baptised them and rejoiced with them as they joined Christ in His death and burial and were raised out of the water into their new life in Him. Many of us then gave them words of encouragement and prophesied over them, subsequently laying hands on them to be baptised in the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!
This Sunday we look forward to having Crosswalk with us at KLF.

The old has gone, the new has come!
Glory to God!
Yesterday's meeting was very powerful as we encountered God in worship, communion, His Word and prayer. We were greatly ministered to throughout the meeting by Psalm 103:1-5 where David writes,
Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits -
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
In his message, entitled, "Exit - No Return!" Richard spoke to us about what it means to be a new creation in Christ where the old has gone and all things are made new (2 Cor 5:17). We looked at 3 important aspects of the believer's new life in Christ as we asked: how do we enter newness of life in Christ; how do we live in newness of life in Christ and how do we walk in newness of life in Christ?
Looking at Luke 9:57-62, we noted that when Jesus calls us to follow Him, He calls us to leave the old, sinful, independent, self-centred, ungodly, worldly life we lived behind us and to follow Him in newness of life and never to look back! Having entered the new, the believer must learn to live in all that has been received in Christ and to not forget all His benefits (Psalm 103:1-5; Eph 1:3; 2 Pet 1:3). Richard emphasised that when anyone is born again, s/he is a new creation and that we grow into fullness in Christ as we receive revelation of what we have received in Christ and experience fullness in Him (1 Cor 2:12; Eph 4:13,15; Phil 3:7-9). As we looked at the context in which 2 Cor 5:17 states that the believer is a new creation in Christ, we noted that newness of life in Christ applies not only to the believer's new identity in Christ but especially to the believer's new purpose in life. Paul writes that Jesus died for all so that those who are made new in Christ should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again (2 Cor 5:15). The believer's new life in Christ is motivated by Christ's love and God's salvation purposes (2 Cor 5:14; 18-6:3). To walk in newness of life is to do the good works that God prepared beforehand for each new creation in Christ (Eph 2:10). We praise God for His revelation to us and for His command to leave the old and live in the new as we exit and not return!
This week our missions team will be heading for Butuan, Philippines to minister there for two weeks. We are excited for Aris, Cristina, Andreas and Moriah-Jane to go as KLF's representatives to visit Kingdom Life Butuan and to be part of their ongoing ministry while they are there. It is always a wonderful experience and we look forward to hearing what God will do during their visit.

- The same power that raised Jesus from the dead and raised Him to the right hand of the Father above all rule and authority has been given to us. Eph 1:18-23
- God gives us resurrection power not to just survive in life or fight for holiness.
- God gives us resurrection life so we can reign in life through Christ. Rom 5:17
- We reign in life when we live in the finished work of the cross, in the fullness of Christ's resurrection life and bring heaven on earth. 2 Cor 5:17; Gal 2:20; Col 3:3,4
- We forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:13,14
- We have been raised to reign!

Established!
Glory to God!
These past few weeks, the Lord has been speaking to us about growth and fruitfulness. God's will is that we become mature and grow into the fullness of Christ and bear much fruit (Eph 4:13; Jn 15). In his message entitled "Remain unmoved!," Prem spoke to us about how the believer can grow to remain unmoved. He showed us that the journey to maturity is a process of learning to be governed from the inside out and living from the Spirit and truth of God rather than reacting to physical circumstances (see Gen 49:22-24; Acts 27:23-26 - Paul remained unmoved because he knew he belonged to God, he served God and he trusted in God's faithfulness). For the believer to mature, s/he must learn to receive, believe, feed on, meditate on and apply God's Word until s/he remains unmoved in challenging circumstances, living from the reality of God's truth over and above the natural realm (Prov 4:20-22; 1 Pet 2:2).
God's will is that we grow individually and as a church. In his sermon entitled "Principles for church growth," Richard showed us 5 principles that we can learn from how the early church grew as described in Acts 6:1-7:
- The organisation must serve the organism - as the church grew, structures were put in place to support the ever changing dynamic of the church body as people were added and different practical challenges arose. Acts 6:1
- Decisions must be governed by godly values - the church dealt with issues and challenges according to godly values. Acts 6:1
- Responsibilities must be shared - the church worked together to find the right people for the right jobs so that responsibilities were shared. As responsibilities are shared, each area of ministry can be more focused and effective. Acts 6:2, 7
- Criteria for choosing leaders must be right - people were chosen for leadership responsibilities who were already producing the fruit of being filled with the Spirit and wisdom! The fruit of people's lives determined whether they were suitable to take responsibility for any given area of ministry in the church. Acts 6:3 (see also Heb 13:7; 1 Tim 3).
- Roles and responsibilities must be established - once the leaders were chosen by the church, the elders prayed for them and laid hands on them to establish them in their responsibility, anointing, authority and calling. Acts 6:6
- Identity - who we are and who those are who belong to KLF and are building with us.
- Values - our priorities and what is important to us - that we be a spiritual, relational, maturing, healing, serving, generous, outward-focused, creative and multiplying community.
- Organisation - the way we organise ourselves in order to support the church as a changing and growing organism.
- Purpose - that we help people live the Kingdom life wherever they are individually and as a church both locally and beyond.
- Position - a place where God wants us to build a home and a base where we can be a habitation for God's presence and where we can influence the local community.
We ended the meeting with a time for anyone to ask questions and it was great to feel the excitement and interest within the congregation as we respond to the Holy Spirit and move forward together.
Looking at John 1:1-13, Richard shared a message on Sunday entitled, "Indwelling Word" in which we looked at how we need to respond to Jesus and His Word in order for spiritual conception to take place in our lives. Using the analogy of our lives being our home, Richard challenged us to exmine our response to Christ or His Word knocking at our door (Rev 3:20):
- do we peek through the spy hole of the door to observe from a distance behind a closed door?
- do we invite Him or His Word in as a visitor for a temporary stay as we put on our temporary best for our temprary guest?
- do we invite Jesus and His Word into our homes to live with us so that He has access to every room in the house at all times?
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly." Col 3:16
Jesus, the Living Word wants to take residence in our lives!

Fit together

Glory to God!
As we continue to look at what it means to live the Kingdom life, the Lord is showing us that we need spiritual revelation of who He is, who we are individually in Christ and who we are as the Body of Christ.
Two Sundays ago David shared a message entitled, Fit-ness, in which he showed us how God sees the Church and how the Lord desires us to be. Comparing the Church to a bicycle, David demonstrated how God calls us to fit together (Eph 4:16); how God fits us together for purpose (Eph 4:11) and how God calls us to live the Kingdom life as those who have been fitted together (Eph 4:2-6).
On Sunday, Richard spoke to us about how God wants to transform every believer into His image as our minds are renewed according to God's revelation of who He is, who we are individually and who we are as the Church (Rom 12:2; 2 Cor 3:18; Matt 16:13-19). In his message entitled, Transforming Revelation, Richard showed us that God wants us to live in His best (His good, pleasing and perfect will) but that transformation will only come about as we live our lives according to our new identity in Christ as children of God and as the Church. Richard emphasised that we must grow in our knowledge of who we are as the Body of Christ as we seek spiritual revelation and understanding of God's view of the Church and the truth of what Christ accomplished for His Body (Eph 1:17-23; 1 Pet 2:9,10).

Living in the fear of the Lord
Image used with permission from Uwe Keller Photography
Glory to God!As we pursue living the Kingdom life, God is showing us the why (motivation), the how (method) and the what (manifestation) of Kingdom living. A few weeks ago Richard spoke to us about the most important question every believer needs to ask himself or herself if s/he desires to truly live the Kingdom life, namely: Is Christ supreme in my life? In his message entitled The Supremacy of Christ, Richard showed us from Romans 11:36 where it is written, "For from him and through him and to him are all things" that when Christ is truly Lord in the believer's life, s/he will live from God, through God and to God. We live from God as we derive our identity, significance and security from God. We live through God as we depend on the Holy Spirit to empower us to live a godly life and we live to God as we devote our lives to God, living a life set apart for His purposes and glory.
Christ is supreme in our lives when we live from Him, through Him and to Him.
In his message entitled, "Who do you say I am?" Alexander spoke to us a couple of Sundays ago from Matthew 16:13-35 and Malachi 3:16 & 17 about the importance of what the believer says since the believer will have to give an account of what was spoken and the believer has the power to change the atmosphere wherever s/he is as s/he releases the truth of heaven on earth. Alexander pointed out that the fear of the Lord is manifested as God's people respond to the revelation of God with their speech, their behaviour and their lives.
God is calling His people to a lifestyle of holiness in the fear of the Lord
as we respond to the revelation of His lordship and holiness.
On Sunday Frances shared a message entitled, "Trust and obey" which followed on from her message given a few weeks ago entitled, "The rewards of obedience" in which she showed us how obedience to God releases the anointing and brings pleasure to the Father. Continuing with the theme of obedience, Frances pointed out how important obedience is to God (John 14:15 & 21); how even Jesus had to learn to be obedient (Heb 5:8,9); how the believer cannot live the Kingdom life without submitting to and following the Holy Spirit; how the believer must be led by the Holy Spirit to make right choices and the believer must learn to hear God's voice, trust Him and obey Him.
"It is God's holy presence, consciously abiding in us,
that keeps us from disobeying Him." Andrew Murray
We praise God for His revelation to us and for teaching us how to live the Kingdom life. This coming Sunday Richard, Wesley, Elizabeth, Denis and Jane will be taking part in the Frankfurt Marathon and will be raising money for KLB's ministry to the street children and orphans in Butuan (Philippines).

Effective Grace
Glory to God!
On Saturday we had another of our quarterly welcome coffees at L60 where we had the opportunity to meet some new people at KLF and for them to get to know a few of our leaders and members and to find out more about who KLF is, our vision, our history and our structure. The next welcome coffee will be held on the 3 September.
As God continues to speak to us about fruitfulness, He has been showing us that one of the keys to fruitfulness is a deeper understanding of His grace - His limitless, unconditional kindness towards us (Col 1:6). On Sunday Richard spoke to us about the purpose of God's grace and showed us that if we don't grow in our understanding of God's grace we can receive it in vain (2 Cor. 6:1). By the grace of God the believer receives a new position (sonship and authority), power to overcome the work of the enemy and a new purpose in living for God and His salvation purposes. Richard showed us that the believer receives grace in vain when s/he tries to earn his or her position in Christ (Gal. 5:2-4); when the believer doesn't use God's grace to be strengthened to overcome temptation and sin (Heb. 4:14-16; Titus 2:11-14) and when the believer doesn't use God's grace to reach out to others to reconcile them to the Father's love (1 Cor. 15:9,19; 2 Cor. 5:17-6:2).
We praise God for the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus and we pray that we will not receive His grace in vain.
