Smile! God loves you

Glory to God!

This past month the Lord has been teaching us about the Holy Spirit and helping us to know and experience Him. In her sermon entitled, "What do you smell of?" Antje spoke to us about who the Holy Spirit is, how we need to honour Him and how the believer needs to be filled with Him in order to manifest His presence in his or her life.

On Mothers' Day we had a brilliant afternoon as we celebrated motherhood and the gift of children. It was a joy to dedicate one of our precious children and to honour our mothers and pray for them. The children's ministry team, the children and youth then performed a powerful drama and dance, portraying the crucifixion of Christ, the victory gained and the keys given to the Church to further God's Kingdom in the power of the Holy Spirit. In response to the presentation of the Gospel and the message of peace in Christ, we saw several people surrender their lives to Jesus. Hallelujah!

On the weekend of Pentecost we had the privilege of having Steve and Dianna Porter with us from Rochester NY in the States. Over 4 sessions from Friday to Sunday, Steve led our conference entitled, Deep calls to deep in which he spoke powerfully on,

"A fresh hunger for God" - God's invitation for us to know Him and desire more of Him.
"From pain to power" - God uses the broken, the despised and the rejected to reveal His glory.
"The ready Bride" - Jesus desires to enter into unceasing fellowship with His bride so that she will be ready for His return.
"A fresh touch of the Holy Spirit" - Knowing, honouring and experiencing the third Person of the Trinity.

With many powerful testimonies and examples of encounters with God, Steve led us into his journey of going deeper with the Lord and showed us the reality of God's presence, love and power. His ministry has left us with a greater desire for the Lord and an urgency to be ready for Jesus when He comes again. We praise God for Steve and what the Lord is doing in his life together with Dianna and we look forward to seeing them again in the future. The Porter's books are available online.

On Saturday we participated in the Global Outreach Day (G.O.D.) as our children's ministry team set up children's activities, games and dance in the park in Frankfurt Bockenheim. Together with a couple of people from Treffpunkt Leben Frankfurt, we turned the Kurfürstenplatz into a smiley zone as the children had fun and the parents were served refreshments. It was a brilliant afternoon as we used the opportunity to witness to people, pray for them and help them encounter the love of God! We are so grateful to Elizabeth and Danni who organised the event and helped us make an impact on Bockenheim!

"When the king smiles, there is life; His favour refreshes like a spring rain" Proverbs 16:15

On Sunday we heard testimonies from our G.O.D. project and rejoiced in God speaking into people's lives, saving and healing them! Hallelujah! Richard then spoke to us about how the Father seeks true worshippers and the characteristics of a true worshipper as seen in the life of king David. Looking at Psalm 63, we noted the following:

  1. A true worshipper belongs to God and God to him.
  2. A true worshipper seeks God early.
  3. A true worshipper seeks to be satisfied in God alone.
  4. A true worshipper responds to the revelation of God.
  5. A true worshipper chooses to worship God.
  6. A true worshipper lives in God-consciousness.
  7. A true worshipper depends on God.
In response to the call to be a true worshipper, we spent time in God's presence, worshipping and loving Him. We praise God for teaching us what it means to be a true worshipper and for the journey the Lord is taking us on in the love of the Father, the grace of our Lord Jesus and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

Steve Porter

Glory to God!

These are truly exciting times! The Sound of Heaven Conference with Steve Porter was amazing. From Wednesday to Sunday, the Lord used Steve to draw us closer and closer to Himself. The Lord has truly helped KLF, through Steve, to discover greater levels of intimacy with Him and has awakened in all of us a yearning desire to know and experience God more. We praise the Lord for this man of God who truly walks with God and has the gift to help the Church enter into places with God that few have been. Steve Porter and Josh McCreight have been a tremendous blessing to KLF, Frankfurt and Germany and we are convinced that God will continue to use Steve internationally to release a true revival of agape love in and through the Body of Christ! Hallelujah!

The messages from the conference are available here...

New Life in Christ

Glory to God!

Yesterday we celebrated new life in Christ! Three people were baptised and one person recommitted his life to God. It is so exciting to hear the testimonies of lives that have been touched by God and to hear the hearts of those captured by His love. Hallelujah!

The Lord spoke to us about what this new life in Christ means for every believer. This is what He showed us:

Those who do not believe in Jesus are:
  • joined to darkness. Eph. 5:8; Col. 1:13
  • enemies of God. Col. 1:21; Rom. 5:10
  • separated from God. Col. 1:21; Eph. 2:12
  • objects of God's wrath. Eph. 2:3
Those who believe in Jesus are:
  • joined to light. Col. 1:13; Eph. 5:8,9
  • friends of God. Rom. 5:10
  • made one with God. Rom. 6:3,4; 1 John 4:15
  • objects of blessing. Eph. 1:3; 2:4,5
Union with God means:
  • God is in us to empower us. Eph. 1:18-21; 3:20,21; Col. 1:28,29; Phil. 4:13; Eph. 6:10
  • God is with us to encourage us. John 14:15-18; Joshua 1:5-9
  • God is upon us to authorise us. Matt. 3:16,17; Matt. 28:16-20
Baptism demonstrates our death to a life that was separated from God and the birth into a new life in Christ - a life united to God so that we live:
  • from His presence in us
  • because of His presence with us
  • for His presence upon us

We praise God for His awesome revelation to us and for helping us enter into the experience of being one with Him!

Kingdom Life is excited to host the upcoming Sound of Heaven conference with Steve Porter. The meetings will be powerful and intimate encounters with God. Click here for more info...

Quote of the week:

"Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives." Rom.6:2-4

Saved to serve

Glory to God!

Yesterday's meeting was wonderful! God is saving, healing and setting people free. Lives are being changed as they are touched by the Lord and people begin to live for Him. Hallelujah!

As the Lord continues to speak to us about Living in the fear of the Lord, we are learning what it means to live because of God, from God and for God. This is what He showed us yesterday:

When we did not believe in Christ, we were
  • part of the kingdom of darkness (Eph. 5:8)
  • separated from God (Eph. 2:12)
  • enemies of God (Col. 1:21)
  • objects of wrath deserving punishment (Eph. 2:3)
  • ungodly (Rom. 5:6)
However, through faith in Christ, the believer is reconciled to God and becomes,
  • part of the kingdom of light (Eph. 5:8; Col. 1:13)
  • joined to God (1 John 4:15)
  • friends of God (Rom. 5:10,11)
  • objects of blessing (Eph. 2:4-6)
  • godly (2 Peter 1:3,4)
The reason God saves us is so that,
  • We can have an intimate relationship with Him (fellowship). Rom. 5:11; 1 John 1:3
  • We can be like Him and reveal Him (godliness). 2 Peter 1:3,4; 1 John 2:6
  • We can reign in life and live for Him (co-labour). Rom. 5:17
To live in the fear of the Lord is to live for God and serve Him!
  • Jesus came to serve and not to be served. Phil. 2:5-8; Mt 20:26-28
  • Jesus set an example for His followers. John 13:12-17
  • Jesus calls His followers to serve. John 12:26; 1 John 3:16; 2 Cor. 5:15
  • Jesus serves the Father and those who are filled with His Spirit are filled with the Spirit of servanthood. Rom. 6:10,11
  • The apostle Paul lived for God as a bond-servant - a servant unconditionally committed to his master. Rom. 1:1
  • Timothy lived for God and served the Church. Phil. 2:20,21
  • Those who serve others serve God. 1 Thess. 1:3; Hebrews 6:10,11; Eph. 6:5-8
The believer is reconciled to God to live for Him and serve Him.

We praise God for His revelation to us and for showing us what it means to live in the fear of the Lord very practically.

This Sunday we will be having a New Life Celebration and will be baptising new believers at the EFG church in Eschersheim. For more information please click here...

We are excited about having Steve Porter with us from the USA from the 18 -22 May. It will be time of refreshing and encountering God. For more information please click here...

Quote of the week:

"And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again." 2 Cor. 5:15

Living in revival

Glory to God!

Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about the evidence of a revived heart and this is what He showed us:

  • When people become God-conscious, they begin to respond to God.
  • People who respond to God are being revived as they begin to live in the fear of the Lord.
  • When people are being revived, their hearts are changed toward God.
  • The evidence of a revived heart is the following:
  • The realisation of one's absolute need for God - a life that relies on God as its Source and not just its Solution to live a godly life - living from God. Isaiah 6:1-7; Acts 2:37; Luke 5:1-11; Psalm 63
  • A heart that cries out, "I need you, Lord!"
  • Unless believers realise their need for God, they won't live lives relying on God.
  • The desire to know God more - a life that desires constant communion with God to respond to Him - living because of God. Phil. 3:7-11; Eph. 1:17
  • A heart that cries out, "I want to know you, Lord!"
  • Unless believers desire intimacy and fellowship with God, they won't live lives in response to Him.
  • The desire to do God's will - a life that desires to know God's will to obey it in order to revere God - living for God. Col. 1:9,10; Eph. 5:17
  • A heart that cries out, "I want to do your will, Lord!"
  • Unless believers know God's will they cannot obey Him to honour Him out of their love for Him.
Lives are being revived as we learn to walk in the fear of the Lord. Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me." Psalm 63:1-8
