Kay Lorentz

Glory to God!

On Sunday, we had the privilege of having Kay Lorentz with us as guest speaker. Holger and Kay Lorentz are missionaries of Globe Mission with KLF as their sending church. We support their ministry to children at risk in the various ministries they lead and are part of such as Resilient Kids SA, Mercy Aids and their own family as foster parents to 4 HIV-positive children. Kay gave us a glimpse of their tough journey and God's faithfulness in the past year and shared a message entitled, "Letting go" in which she spoke to us from Psalm 124 and Luke 5:17-26. During worship, the Lord was already preparing our hearts to receive revelation of His Fatherhood and His desire to replace every orphan spirit with His Spirit of adoption in Christ. Kay's message flowed right from the Father's heart and addressed the need for God's people to have their minds renewed according to the love of the Father and their identity as sons and daughters of God. Kay showed us how God wants to restore trust, remove shame and teach us to be vulnerable so that we can become powerful as we depend on the Father. In response to Kay's message we spent time in the Father's healing presence, allowing Him to minister to many of us very deeply. We praise God for Holger and Kay who are truly demonstrating the Father's love with their lives and for the anointing upon them to bring home the orphans to their Father. Hallelujah!

Living by Faith

Glory to God!

These past weeks the Lord has been speaking to us about the unity of the Spirit and His desire for us to live in His fulness. Two weeks ago Tobias shared a message entitled, "One body, one language," in which he showed us that God's purpose has always been to unite mankind to Himself and one another to be His dwelling place. Comparing the account of the building of the tower of Babel in Genesis 11:1-9 and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost in Acts 2:1-13, we saw the power of unity as God intended it, for His glory and purposes in eternity. In response to God's Word we split up into groups to pray in the Spirit and pray for one another.

On Sunday, after another powerful time of worship, we had the privilege of having Kay Lorentz with us who gave us an update on their ministry and family whom we support as a church. It is humbling and sobering to hear the testimony of what Kay and Holger are doing in Cape Town, South Africa and it was important for us to bless Kay and their ministries, Resilient Kids SA and Mercy Aids. We praise God for Kay and Holger who demonstrate true faith in laying down their lives for the needy to give them a voice, dignity, hope and a future!

Richard then shared a message entitled, "Reflections on faith," in which he showed us some important principles about faith that will help us individually and corporately to experience a greater measure of God's fulness in and through our lives. Comparing a torch with a mirror, Richard showed us that we must make a shift from our being the origin to God being the Origin in our lives (Rev 3:14). With God as the Origin of all things in our lives, we saw that faith is not something we produce but a response to God and what He has completed in Christ. Richard showed us that faith is:

Receiving what God freely gives (Mk 10:15; Jn 1:12,13; Eph 1:3)
Resting from human effort and resting in God's finished work (Heb 4:9-11)
Remaining in Christ and living in Him (Jn 15; Col 2:6)

In response to God's Word to us we split up into groups and prayed for one another, receiving, resting and remaining in God's presence. It was a very powerful time indeed and it was wonderful to experience the ministry of the Holy Spirit as we ceased from every human effort and made space for Him to do His work among us. Hallelujah!

Abiding in the Father's love

Glory to God!

Yesterday's meeting was amazing! There is a distinct buzz of excitement amongst our people surrounding the preparation for this weekend's Christmas musical entitled, "Chosen!" After a powerful time of worship, we had the privilege of having Junior Robinson, a very well known gospel singer and song writer from England, minister to us with his own song, describing our dependency on the Vine to be all God has made us to be. Junior Robinson is in Frankfurt to prepare the singers from different churches in Frankfurt for the gospel choir that is part of the musical. It is such an exciting Kingdom project that is connecting the churches in Frankfurt to produce "Chosen!" to reach people with the message of the Father's love and to do it excellently, together for His glory!

David Rowe and Alexander Blair visited the Father's House Christian Fellowship in October. FHCF was led by the late Richard Maybery who was instrumental in the lives of many of our members and in the establishing of KLF. David and Alexander gave us a report of their visit, the people we are connected to and the ministries FHCF is supporting. These include Resilient Kids and Mercy Aids
as well as the Berean College in India which Richard Maybery founded. We are excited to see how God wants us to further be a part of what He is doing in and through the Father's House and to be connected across the globe to expand God's Kingdom.

Prem Christopher then brought a message on the Father's nature and love, looking at the parable of "The revelation of the Father's heart" as Prem called it, in Luke 15:11-32. Prem showed us the importance of understanding how the Father sees His children, how the greatest blessing is in
the abiding presence of the Father, how richly we are blessed in Christ and in the inheritance of all the Father has for us and that God wants us to celebrate with Him because we are now alive in Him! You can listen to Prem's anointed and very powerful message here.
