New Life Celebration
Glory to God!
On Sunday we had the joy of baptising 6 new creations in Christ! It was a very special meeting as we celebrated Christ's victory and new life in Christ. Richard reminded us of the Good News in his message entitled, "The power of the Gospel," which you can listen to here. With the help of his three cups and a cross, Richard showed us how God rescues the believer from a life in the kingdom of darkness: a life of sin in which we were separated from God, enemies of God, deserving His wrath and eternal death, to a life in the Kingdom of light: a life of righteousness and holiness in Christ as we are joined to Him and His life for eternity. Richard showed us that the believer enters a realm of grace that enables him to enjoy the closest intimacy to the Father and where he can expect abundantly more than he can ask or imagine because of Christ's righteousness, holiness and redemption (Rom 5:1,2; 1 Cor 1:30)! Hallelujah!
After hearing the testimonies of Ulli, Amen, Danni, Eva, Muriel and Steffi, we baptised them and rejoiced with them as they joined Christ in His death and burial and were raised out of the water into their new life in Him. Many of us then gave them words of encouragement and prophesied over them, subsequently laying hands on them to be baptised in the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!
This Sunday we look forward to having Crosswalk with us at KLF.

Journey into revival
Glory to God!
As we continue our exciting journey with the Holy Spirit, learning and experiencing who He is and what He does, we sense God preparing us for an even greater manifestation of His presence and power. Our prayer is that God would pour out His Spirit so that the Church is revived and our society is convicted of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness and judgment and awakened to life in Christ (John 16:8)!
Yesterday we had a wonderful time, encountering God in worship and hearing testimonies of how the Lord is moving and working in people's lives. Richard shared a message entitled, "Humility - The Key to Revival" which you can listen to here. Looking at the ministry of John the Baptist and how God called him to prepare the way for the revelation of Jesus, we noted how John lived in a spirit of humility that ushered in the presence of God! Richard showed us 5 statements that John makes in John 3:27-36, that reveal the nature of true humility:
- "A man can receive only what is given him from heaven." Humility accepts life as a gift and is thankful and content in it.
- "I am not the Christ but I am sent ahead of him." Humility accepts God's unique call and lives it out in the audience of One.
- "The bride belongs to the Bridegroom." Humility lives in joyful dependence upon Christ.
- "He must become greater, I must become less." Humility seeks to empty self so that Christ is revealed.
- "The One who comes from above is above all." Humility lives to point to Jesus and exalt Him.
Humility is the key to revival!

Edgar Mayer
Glory to God!
Much like the apostle Paul rejoiced in hearing Timothy's report about his visit to the church of the Thessalonians, bringing good news about their faith and love, so we too rejoiced in hearing the report about our mission team's visit to the church in Butuan in the Philippines as they shared how Kingdom Life Butuan is doing and what God did during the team's visit there. Aris, Cristina, Andreas and Moriah-Jane spent 2 weeks with KLB, participating in the church's ongoing ministry as well as ministering at various churches, speaking at the local radio station, prison and orphanage. They reported how wonderfully they connected with the church, how KLB is growing in the Lord and how pastors Julius and Roszel are doing an excellent work in reaching the lost, feeding the poor, discipling and leading the church. We praise God for KLB and we need to continue to uphold them in prayer for God's protection and provision and for greater influence and even more favour with the local spiritual and govermental leaders of the city and area. For a personal report of the team's visit, you can read Moriah-Jane's blog here.
Two weeks ago Alexander shared a message entitled "Let your enemies fear you" which you can listen to here. Looking at the account of David and Goliath and the context of the encounter in 1 Samuel, Alexander showed us how David was able to overcome the Philistines' strategy of systematically weakening and initimidating Israel's army by standing in the knowledge of his covenant relationship with God, standing upon God's Word spoken over him concerning his destiny and declaring the truth of who God is compared to the obstacle he faced. Alexander's message is a great encouragement for the Church to rise up in her identity, covenant, calling and the truth of God's Word against any "giant" that seeks to weaken, intimidate and attack God's people. It is as the believer stands in the truth of "Christ in us, the hope of glory" that the enemy begins to tremble! Hallelujah!
It was a great privilege and pleasure to have Edgar Mayer with us this past weekend. On Saturday Edgar showed us what the Bible reveals concerning the practice of the laying on of hands. Using many examples from the Word of God as well as sharing his own testimonies and experience, Edgar showed us the importance of not only preaching the Word but of also expecting to experience what we read and hear from the Word. After establishing a biblical foundation of the practice of laying on of hands, Edgar invited everyone to be prayed for to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It was wonderful to see how the Holy Spirit ministered to each person and to witness some powerful manifestations as people received from God. You can listen to the first session of "The laying on of hands" here and the second session here.
On Sunday we had another powerful meeting as we worshipped God, heard testimonies of what God did over the weeekend in people's lives and listened to Edgar preach on, "A journey into healing" which you can listen to here. Relating his own journey and experience with God concerning praying for the sick, Edgar greatly encouraged us to persevere and to go on an exciting journey with God as we believe His Word and act on it. In response to God's Word to us, Edgar gave room for the Holy Spirit to give the church words of knowledge for healing, which were received and prayed for. It was exciting to see some immediate results and to see faith arise in people for their healing. We look forward to hearing further testimonies of God's goodness and power as many responded to prayer and the church joined Edgar in praying for the sick and one another. It was a wondeeful meeting filled with the presence, power and love of God. We are grateful for Edgar's ministry to us and we look forward to working with him in the future.
