The Jonah Project

Glory to God!

As the Lord continues to reveal heaven's priorities to us, He is establishing the values He wants us to have. On Sunday, Richard shared a message entitled "The Jonah Project," in which we looked at the story of Jonah and what it reveals concerning God's values and how we need to respond them. Richard showed us that in a society where values are subjective and relative, God wants us to be concerned with what He is concerned about - His values must become our values (Phil 2:21). Just as Jonah tried to run away from God's commission and went through a process of leaving his comfort, surrendering his life to God, dying to self and then devoting himself to God and obeying Him, so the believer is challenged to adopt God's values and respond to them in obedience. More specifically, God revealed His heart for the lost in our city and is calling us to be faithful "as those approved of God to be entrusted with the Gospel" (1 Thess 2:4) so that Frankfurt will be saved. In response to God's Word to us, we have begun The Jonah Project - a journey for us to develop God's heart for the lost and to save our city.  It is exciting to realise that when the Church adopts God's values, she will be united in spirit and purpose to further God's Kingdom. Hallelujah!
