It was wonderful to have pastor Julius Regala with us from Butuan in the Philippines. On Friday and Saturday evening we had two powerful Breakthrough! meetings of worship and prayer, led by Richard Morschel, Julius Regala and David Rowe. On Friday evening we were immersed in the Father's love and spent an amazing time in Abba's presence. On Saturday, the presence of God was again almost tangible as we worshipped Him and proclaimed His Lordship over our lives. We then spent time together in prayer, interceding for the cities of Frankfurt and Butuan. It was a powerful time of breakthrough as we prayed for leaders, for the spirit of greed and of poverty to be broken, for the lost and for the Church to be revived in our respective cities. We prayed strategically using the following model:
Revelation:
prayer for the unveiling of hearts and minds and for spiritual enlightenment according to God's truth. 2 Cor 4:4; Eph 1:17
Repentance:
prayer for people to turn away from sin and worldly mindsets and to turn to God and His wisdom. Acts 2:38; Mt 13:15; James 3:13-18
Renewal:
prayer for people to be transformed by the renewal of their minds so that they live according to God's truth and wisdom. Col 3:1-3; Rom 12:2; James 3:17
Response:
prayer for people to have the courage to apply and act on God's wisdom in the world. Acts 4:29; James 1:22
On Sunday we had a very significant meeting as we celebrated KLF's 7th birthday and ordained Julius as pastor of Kingdom Life Butuan, establishing him as senior leader of our first church plant in the Philippines. Richard shared what it means to build Kingdom relationships and how God connects people strategically to further His Kingdom. We saw how the apostle Paul built Kingdom relationships and looked at his relationship to Epaphroditus in Philippians 2:25. This is what we learned:
- Kingdom relationships are built on brotherly love.
- Kingdom relationships are built on co-labouring as God fellow workers to build the Church .
- Kingdom relationships are built on co-labouring as soldiers of Christ to reach the lost.
- Kingdom relationships are built on mutual encouragement through consistent concern for one another.
You can listen to the message "Building Kingdom Relationships" here.
It was a privilege to have Bishop Sony Okpekpe (senior leader of Charity Church, Hanau) with us. Together with pastors Richard and Frances they ordained Julius Regala as pastor of Kingdom Life Butuan (Philippines). After the ordination, many of our people brought very powerful, prophetic words for pastor Julius, KLB and Butuan. You can listen to the ordination and prophetic words here.
