Abundant Grace!

Glory to God!

The Lord is establishing our identity as new creations in Christ, both individually and corporately as the Body of Christ. As identity determines responsibility, it is clear that God wants us to grasp what it means to live as sons and daughters of the King and as His holy and chosen people, the Church!

In his message entitled, "Release the handbrake,"  Richard spoke to us about how God wants His grace to reign in our lives. Looking at Romans 4:25 - 5:2 and 5:20,21; Richard showed us how, through faith in Christ, the believer is made righteous and therefore has access to God's abundant grace. This grace is the realm of God that is beyond anything we can ask for or imagine that God makes available to His children to live in. Just as sin ruled in our lives when we were separated from God, so grace can reign now that we are joined to God through righteousness in Christ. Hallelujah! Richard also showed us that many still allow their old way of thinking to hinder them from moving forward in their new identity in Christ. Releasing the handbrake is about letting go of the past, letting go of old patterns of thinking, ceasing to believe the lies of the enemy, and letting go of unbelief in God's truth. Once the believer establishes his or her righteousness in Christ, God's grace and the "huperballo" (beyond the boundary) realm of His Kingdom can reign in the believer's life so that we participate in the divine nature (see 2 Peter 1:3,4; 1 Cor. 2:12; Rom 5:9,10, 17, 21; 8:32; Eph 2:6-8; Col 1:6).

Grace reigns through rigthteousness!

God is doing something new with us as a church and we are excited about new Life Groups forming and more and more people getting connected, involved and experiencing Kingdom life! On Sunday Alex interviewed some of our ex and present Life Group leaders who testified to the value and importance of believers being part of a Life Group in order to build community, grow in love, discover and nurture gifting and learn how to live the Kingdom life together in this world.

It was a powerful meeting on Sunday and after an awesome time of worship, many came forward with words and impressions given by the Holy Spirit in particular in the area of finances. Even before the message concerning living in God's abundant grace was given, the Holy Spirit was encouraging us to be faithful in giving and to increase our expectation in God as the One who is able to provide beyond our imagination! Hallelujah!

Kings and Priests

Glory to God!

Jesus is God's vision for the Church! As we grow in our understanding of the truth of our identity in Christ both individually and as the Church, we sense the Lord stirring us more and more to reach up, reach in and reach out. Two weeks ago Richard shared a message entitled, "A Royal Priesthood" in which he showed us how our identity in Christ determines our responsibility as believers. This is what he shared with us:

  • Jesus is the highest authority. Eph 1:18-23; Mt 28:18
  • Jesus is our great high Priest. Heb 7:23-26
  • As those who have Christ the King and Priest dwelling in them, the Church is God's royal priesthood. 1 Pt 2:9,10; Lk 22:29,30; 1 Cor 1:26; Rev 1:6; 5:9,10
  • As kings and priests, the Church is called to exercise her kingly authority in Christ and to serve God in representing man before God and God before man.
  • As kings and priests, the Church has the power to build or destroy.
  • God's royal priesthood is called to build up the people of God but to destroy the works of satan. 2 Cor 10:8; 13:10
  • The problem is that we can misuse the authority and power entrusted to us when we destroy one another and build satan's kingdom! James 3:9-12; Eph 4:29-32
  • God's royal priesthood has the responsibility to be good stewards of the authority, power and intercessory anointing given to them to build God's Kingdom, to destroy the work of the enemy and to pray!
Identity determines responsibility!

In response to God's revelation, we spent time around the Lord's Table to examine our hearts and to confess any cursing of others and dishonouring of God's people, the Body of Christ. It was a powerful time that the Holy Spirit then led into a time of prayer and intercession as we stepped into our authority in Christ as His royal priesthood. Hallelujah!

Yesterday was another powerful time in God's presence as we worshipped Him and made room for the Holy Spirit to lead the meeting. Worship in song turned into intercession as we sensed the Lord breaking strongholds and obstacles in people's lives that were preventing them from stepping into all that God has prepared for them. It is evident that as we realise our identity and responsibility as a royal priesthood that we are going to see more and more people set free, healed and saved in our midst and wherever we go. Tobias then shared a message entitled, "The creative God" in which he showed us the awesome creative power of our God and how He wants us to speak His Word to release His creative power! In response Tobias encouraged us to prophesy and speak God's truth over one another. It was a wonderfully encouraging time as we used our authority to build one another up. Hallelujah!

A Chosen People

Glory to God!

Yesterday there was a real buzz in the meeting! We all sensed that God was setting us up to encounter and experience Him. During our time of worship the Lord began to minister to us and speak to us through prophetic words and impressions. God's presence was wonderful as healing and liberation was declared over people and the Lord began to break chains of addiction, restless minds and the like. Already this morning we received a testimony from someone who received a specific prophetic word yesterday that was fulfilled last night. Hallelujah! God is good!

The Lord is stirring us to all be a significant part of the fulfillment of God's vision for KLF and yesterday, Elizabeth announced that she and her team have started a Kingdom Toddlers group that meets during the service in order to integrate our little ones from the beginning and to expose them to church life and fellowship. It is so wonderful to have the whole church family together in God's presence and for all of us to learn to love and consider one another, even at such a young age.

Richard then spoke to us about being God's chosen people in his message entitled, "You are chosen." Looking at 1 Peter 2:9 and 10, we noted the following:

  • God chooses us. 1 Pet 1:1; 2:8-10; Jn 15:16; Gal 4:8,9; Col 3:12; Rom 8:33
  • It is God's divine right to choose. Rom 9:8-21
  • God's choosing puts salvation completely in His hands. Jn 1:12; Rom 8:30
  • God's choosing us secures our relationship with Him. Rom 8:28-39
  • God's choosing us for His purposes means we are responsible to fulfill what He has chosen us for in the power of the Holy Spirit. Eph 2:10; Jn 15
In response we thanked God for His mercy, for choosing us, for saving us, for placing us firmly in His hands and for empowering us to do His will.

We are excited to announce that Alexander and Natalie have responded to God's call and have agreed to assist Richard and Frances in leading KLF as associate leaders. It was a special and significant time as the church prayed for Alex and Nat and were anointed by Richard and Frances to establish, honour and ordain them as leaders and to recognise the grace that is upon their lives. In turn, Alex and Nat anointed our senior leaders as a prophetic expression of Psalm 133 which God confirmed with an increase in His tangible presence! In response we began to declare God's healing over people and many came forward for prayer. It was very powerful and the atmosphere was electric! People were being healed and filled with joy! Hallelujah!
