Reproducing the Kingdom

Glory to God!

These are truly exciting times! The Lord is teaching us to live the Kingdom life wherever we are and He is showing us how He wants us to walk in holiness.God is revealing that there is a process that needs to take place if we are to produce the fruit of the Kingdom. The process requires the believer to move from understanding God's truth to believing it, to accepting it, to living it and finally to reproducing it. Click here and read "Be imitators of God" for a more detailed outline of this process.

Applying this essential process to our lives, the Lord showed us on Sunday that in order for the believer to reproduce the life of God, s/he must learn to die to sin and self. Having been united to Christ and therefore to both His death and life, the believer must realise Christ's death and resurrection in his or her own life on a daily basis. Paul writes,

"The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus." Romans 6:10,11

Unless the believer dies to sin, to the past and to self s/he cannot reproduce the Kingdom.

On Saturday KLF took part in "Global Outreach Day" (G.O.D.). It was a day on which our people opened their homes, invited neighbours, spent time with unbelievers, went out on the streets in Frankfurt, prayed for people and simply positioned themselves to be used of God to impart love and life to those who are separated from God. We were excited to hear testimonies of the openness of people to receive the Good News and prayer and about the opportunities we had to demonstrate the Father's love in many different ways.

On Sunday evening we had another opportunity to minister the Father's love to the homeless and needy in Frankfurt at our monthly soup kitchen. It was great to see many people respond to God's Word and again for the openness of people to receive prayer and encouragement. Glory to God!

Quote of the week

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." Romans 6:4
