The Prince of Peace

Glory to God!

For those who braved the snow it was a very special time in God's presence at our meeting yesterday. The Lord spoke to us about how Jesus came to bring peace to mankind. This is what He showed us:
  • Jesus, as the Prince of peace, came to establish His government and peace . Isaiah 9:6,7
  • The angelic host proclaimed peace over the earth. Luke 2:13,14
  • Jesus came to bring peace by reconciling man to God and man to man by His blood. Eph. 2:14-17
  • The believer has peace with God and man as he remains in Christ - Jesus Himself is our Peace. Eph. 2:14
  • Christ's peace must rule in the believer's heart. Col. 3:15
  • To remain in Christ and to walk in the Spirit is to remain in peace. The natural state of every believer should be peace. If the believer does not have peace, he is not walking in the Spirit. Gal. 5:22
  • The Prince of peace dwells in the believer and as "the God of peace" He has the authority and power to overcome the things that disturb the believer's peace. Mark 4:35-41; Rom. 16:20
  • Sin, worry, unbelief, deception, unforgiveness, offence and oppression are all peace disturbers and with the help of the Holy Spirit, the believer will be able to deal with each as the Lord brings them to light.
  • The believer remains in peace by keeping a clear conscience, relying on God's grace and keeping his eyes fixed on the Lord. Isaiah 26:3; Phil. 4:6,7

We praise God for bringing peace to mankind through His Son and that His peace can rule in our hearts as we trust in Him!

We are looking forward to joining Treffpunkt Leben on the 24th December to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ at their "Heilig Abend" service at 16h00. The meeting will take place at the church hall (Gemeinde Saal) at Kurfürstenplatz 29 in Bockenheim.

KLF wishes everyone a blessed Christmas and we pray that the peace of God will rule in your hearts as you trust in Him, the Prince of peace!

Quote of the week:

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end." Isaiah 6:9,7
