New Life Celebration

Glory to God!

Yesterday we met at the Baptist church in Frankfurt Eschersheim to celebrate new life in Christ. It is always very powerful when people testify and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and demonstrate their dying to the old and rising to newness of life through baptism. Heaven celebrates with us over every saved sinner (Luke 15:7)!

The Lord showed us from 1 Sam. 3 and Hebrews 1:1-3 that our God is a god who speaks. He is not a dumb idol that is silent but a loving God who longs to commune with His children (1 Cor. 12:2). The problem with not hearing God's voice is not that God doesn't speak but that the believer doesn't listen. God speaks to the humble who respond to His presence like Samuel and say, "Speak, for your servant is listening" (1 Sam. 3:10). The Lord encouraged us to seek His face this week and to make time for Him to speak to us.

We are excited and challenged by what God is doing with us. He is truly rebuilding deep foundations and stripping away unstable opinions and replacing them with firm convictions that are bearing lasting fruit.

Quote of the week:
"Then Samuel said, 'Speak, for your servant is listening.'" 1 Sam. 3:10
