Coram Deo

Glory to God!

As God continues to establish us individually and as a church in our identity, values, organisation, purpose and position, God is speaking to us about living in response to Him as the worshippers He seeks; living in the truth of sonship and living from the reality of God's unseen realm.

A couple Sundays ago, Alex spoke to us about living from the unseen realm. In his message, he showed us how God wants to give the Church spiritual revelation so that we live from the superior reality of our King and His Kingdom (see Eph 1:17,18; 2 Cor 4:17,18). Just as Jesus lived in response to the Father, so the believer is called to do the same as s/he sees and hears in the Spirit to know what God is doing. As ambassadors of God's Kingdom, we are called to represent God's realm and culture and exercise the authority He has entrusted to us in His name. We praise God that we can know the deep things of God by His Spirit, thus enabling us to manifest the Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven (1 Cor 2:11-14). Hallelujah!

Last week our senior leaders, Richard and Frances attended a leaders conference at Kingdom Faith in Horsham, England. Leaders from different parts of the world gathered for 3 days to encounter and receive from the Lord, to share with and encourage one another and to be strengthened as leaders. It was a powerful time as they received input from Colin and Clive Urquhart and Andy Elmes. Meeting up with leaders from across the globe is an important opportunity to feel the pulse of what the Spirit is doing across the nations. It is exciting for us as KLF to be part of what God is doing all around the world and to receive confirmation that we are close to the heart and will of the Father. Hallelujah!

On Sunday we had a very powerful time in God's presence as the Holy Spirit moved us from worship to warfare and the church moved in authority and power to establish God's truth and resist the enemy's lies (see James 4:7,8). Richard then spoke to us about coram deo - living before the face of God in the fear of the Lord. Looking at Isaiah 11:1-3, Acts 2:43 and 9:31, we saw that Jesus delighted in the fear of the Lord and that the early Church, likewise, was filled with the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. Richard showed us that apart from being the key to miracles, signs, wonders and multiplication, the fear of God is what differentiates the believer's freedom from law and lawlessness (see 2 Thess 2)! Looking at 1 Peter 2:13-25, we then noted what it means to live before the face of God as we live for God's sake, as servants of Christ, in the fear of God, to be commended by God, to be conscious of God, to entrust ourselves to God and to return to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls. We praise God for the freedom of sonship as we live before the face of God in reverence and awe to see the Lord glorified as He manifests His Kingdom! Hallelujah!
