Living the Kingdom life

Glory to God!

It has been another exciting week with God! Hallelujah!

On Saturday, the KLF worship team joined Suzette Hattingh and Gayle Claxton of Voice in the City for their Arise Shine! meetings that the Lord is using to equip the Body in Frankfurt with His truth, His presence and His power.

Yesterday KLF had another New Life Celebration as we celebrated new life in Christ through baptism. You can see pictures of the meeting here. The Lord spoke to us about our lives in Him and this is what He showed us concerning living the Kingdom life:

  1. The believer has been rescued from the kingdom of darkness and has been brought into the Kingdom of God. Col- 1:13
  2. The believer has been reconciled to God and is made one with Him. Rom. 6:3-11; 2 Cor. 5:18-20; Col. 3:1-3; John 17:20,21
  3. The believer has been regenerated and has received a new life in Christ. John 1:12,13; 3:3-8; 1 Pet. 1:23; 2 Cor. 5:17
  4. The believer is to remain in Christ. John 15:4-8
  5. The believer is to realise the truth by faith. Gal. 2:20; John 14:20
  6. The believer is to reveal the person of Christ in him/her through obedience. 1 John 4:12; John 3:30; 14:23
  7. The believer is to release the power of Christ by doing the works of Jesus. Eph. 1:19; 2:10; Mt. 28:20

"They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor." Isaiah 61:3

We praise God for His continuing revelation to us! Glory to Him!

This coming weekend we will have another exciting opportunity to bless the poor and needy as we share God's presence, power and love with them.

Quote of the week:

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Gal. 2:20

Times of refreshing!

Hallelujah!

These are exciting times! These are indeed "times of refreshing from the Lord!" (Acts 3:19,20)

Last weekend we were privileged and blessed to have Mike and Kay Chance with us for our KLF Training Days. You can listen to 3 sessions here and you can view pictures of the Sunday meeting here. We are excited about building with Mike and Kay as they have had years of experience of building God's Kingdom here in Germany with a faith dynamic that is stirring this nation. The weekend with them was very powerful and we look forward to seeing them again later this year. Our next training days will be on the 22nd and 23rd May with Bengt Wedemalm!

The leadership of KLF attended the Kingdom Faith leaders' conference at the beginning of this week and has returned full of faith and expectation, having received great encouragement through the teaching, the anointing and the presence of God in the meetings! We are blessed to be part of the move of God that is happening through Kingdom Faith and the anointing that is being released through our covenant relationship with KF. Glory to God!

This weekend we are looking forward to being part of the Arise Shine! conference organised by Voice in the city and we expect God to once again bring life-changing revelation and liberating encounters with Him through worship and the teaching of His Word.

On Sunday KLF will not be meeting at TPLF but at the Baptist church in Frankfurt-Eschersheim at 3pm for another exciting New Life Celebration when we will be baptising new believers and celebrating their new lives in Christ! Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you - even Jesus." Acts 3:19,20

God through you!

Hallelujah!

It has been another awesome week with God! We are experiencing more and more of the Lord's presence and power in all our meetings and we're thrilled with where He is taking us! This past week the Lord has been emphasising the need for the church to pray for the leaders of KLF - for wisdom, power and protection. On Tuesday evening at KLF's prayer meeting, the Lord encouraged us with Acts 4:23-31 and chapter 12 - an awesome testimony of the power of corporate prayer (4:24; 12:5)!

"So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him." Acts 12:5

Right from the beginning of KLF, God has emphasised the need for us to pray for the leadership of KLF in order for the Body to push through into new realms of the spirit (Psalm 84:8,9)! On Friday, at our men's prayer breakfast, we were visited by a pastor from Ghana who inspired us with his testimony of total abandonment to God and the fruit of his life. Again we were led to pray for leadership and we had an incredibly powerful time of intercession and prophetic prayer. God is raising up His people and has appointed us "over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant" (Jer.1:10) and He needs leaders who are covered in prayer to lead the way (Ex 17:8-13).

"Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you. Pray for us." Hebrews 13:17,18 (Emphasis mine)

Yesterday's meeting was amazing! Pictures of the meeting can be viewed here. As we worshipped, the Lord revealed His holiness more and more with the result that we had to stop and respond to Him in confession and repentance. God is holy and He calls His people to be holy (1 Peter 1:15,16)! After truly encountering God, we continued in His presence as our guest speaker, Suzette Hattingh brought a very powerful Word for the Church and showed us the following:

  1. Man is made in God's image. Gen 1:26
  2. God made man to co-labour with Him. Gen.1:26; 2:19,20; Rom. 8:28
  3. Even though God's presence accompanied formlessness and void, it was His word that aligned creation to His will. Gen. 1:1,2
  4. God has chosen man to co-labour with Him to align creation with His will by speaking His word and will over creation. 1 Ki.18:42-45; Mt. 17:29; Rom. 8:28
  5. God has given man creative power as he speaks God's word that will not return void without producing the fruit God intended it to produce! Is.55:10,11

God is calling the Church as His co-labourer to exercise the creative power of His Word through prayer to produce the fruit of His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven!

We then ended the meeting by prophesying and declaring Psalm 84:6 over Frankfurt!

Quote of the week:

"As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:10-11

Check list for effective praying!

Glory to God!

We are so encouraged! Yesterday's meeting was very powerful! The children kicked the worship off by spontaneously chanting, "Jesus, Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords" and we very quickly moved into a time of powerful worship and declaration of Jesus' victory and power over all the work of the enemy. We sensed God giving us significant breakthrough as we submitted to Him, proclaimed His truth over our lives, and resisted the enemy (James 4:7,8). Hallelujah!

The Lord is teaching us to pray and we're learning to go to new levels in communion with God. Yesterday the Lord gave us a checklist for effective prayer as Alexander Blair shared the following:

As we approach God in prayer we need to ask ourselves certain questions to ensure that there are no hindrances to our prayers being answered:

  1. Do I have unconfessed sin in my life? Psalm 66:18; 2 Sam. 21:1-14; 1 John 1:9
  2. Am I continuing to "practice evil deeds"?
  3. Am I listening for God's correction in my life? Prov.28:9; 1 Sam. 13:1-15
  4. Do I have a clear conscience when asking in prayer? 1 John 3:21; 5:14,15
  5. Am I praying with faith and believing that God will answer my prayer? Mark 11:23,24
  6. Does God's Word abide in me or is God's Word just a visitor? John 15:7; Ps. 37:4
  7. What does my prayer life reveal about my attitude toward God? Do I treat the Lord like a spouse, a mistress or even a concubine?
  8. Am I in right relationship with those around me? John 15:12
  9. Am I walking in forgiveness? Mark 11:25; 2 Cor. 2:10,11
  10. Is there harmony in my marriage? As a husband, am I living with my wife in an understanding way? Am I honouring her? 1 Peter 3:7
  11. Am I praying in the Spirit? Eph.6:18; Jude 20
  12. Have I asked the Holy Spirit to help me with my weakness in praying? Rom. 8:26
  13. Am I yielding to the Holy Spirit?
  14. If I am unsure of God's will in a matter, am I nevertheless committed to God that I want His will done, regardless of what it is? Rom. 8:26-28
  15. Do I always pray in Jesus' name? John 14:13,14; 16:23
  16. Am I praying according to God's will as revealed in His Word or by His Spirit?
  17. Am I asking with correct motives? James 4:3
  18. Is my desire to "seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness?" Mt. 6:33
  19. Have I shared my blessings with those less fortunate than I am or am I being stingy? Prov.21:13

We are excited to have Suzette Hattingh minister to us this Sunday and we are looking forward to having Mike and Kay Chance with us from the 20 - 22 March for our KLF Training Days. Preparations for this year's Faith Camp are also being made and we are working toward getting all of KLF to attend this dynamic week in August in Peterborough, England!

Quote of the week:

"Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him." 1 John 3:21,22

The right and the responsibility to pray

Praise be to God!

It's been another exciting week! As the Lord teaches us about prayer and we apply His Word to our lives, we are seeing a greater desire and fervency to pray both individually and corporately. The spirit of prayer and the dynamic of prayer is increasing and we are seeing the fruit of our prayers already! God has spoken to us about 2009 being a year of breakthrough and fruitfulness and as we pray God's way, we "will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living" (Psalm 27:13)!

On Saturday our worship team was invited to be part of the Arise Shine conference, organised by Voice in the city with Gayle Claxton and Suzette Hattingh. We praise God for the way He is bringing the Body of Christ together and for the spirit of unity that is developing in Frankfurt amongst the churches. We believe that God will use these Arise Shine conferences to bring the Body together and equip the Church to make a larger impact on Frankfurt! Hallelujah!

Yesterday three people covenanted with KLF to:

  • Establish our covenant unity with Christ and one another
  • Establish God's call on our lives to be part of His local Body
  • Establish our commitment to one another to live in fellowship (Koinonia)
  • Express our agreement of our values, beliefs and the vision of KLF
  • Express our unity in passion for what God is doing in and through KLF
  • Express our unity of DNA
  • Exercise our unity by serving one another with one's time, energy and resources

We are excited about how God is bringing people to us who are devoted to the Lord and to His local church to see Him glorified and to further God's Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven!

Yesterday theLord spoke to us about the right and the responsibility to pray! He showed us that as believers we have:

  1. The right to become children of God (John 1:12)
  2. The right to call God, "Abba" Father (Rom. 8:14-16)
  3. Full rights as sons and daughters of God (Gal.3:26-4:7)
  4. The right to receive our inheritance because we are heirs (Luke 15:12; 31)
  5. The right to pray (Matt.6:9; Heb. 10:19-22)

The Lord then showed us that we are anointed to be a royal priesthood (Ex.19:4-6; 1 Peter 2:9,10; Rev.5:10) with the priestly responsibility:

  1. To raise God's name up in worship - spirit of worship (1 Peter 2:9; John 4:21-24; Heb.9:9;10:1)
  2. To represent man to God - spirit of intercession (Heb.7:25; Rom.8:26,27)
  3. To reconcile man to God - ministry of reconciliation (John 16:8-11; 2 Cor. 5:18-21)
  4. To reveal God to man - ministers of the Spirit (Rom.15:16; 2 Cor.3:4-6)

God has anointed us to be His children with the right to pray and He has anointed us to be priests of the Kingdom with the responsibility to pray!

In response to God's Word to us we anointed every believer with oil to establish the anointing we have received as children of God and as priests of the Kingdom to pray heaven on earth!

We are devoted to prayer and we have started a pre-meeting prayer time that takes place every Sunday before the meeting and we are setting up intercessor cards for the Body to be purposefully active in prayer.

Quote of the week:

"..you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

The Glory and the Kingdom

Hallelujah! God is amazing!

The Lord is anointing our meetings with His awesome presence and revelation! Our lives are being changed as we seek the Father's face and apply His Word to our lives. God is teaching us to pray and yesterday the Lord spoke to us about our IDENTITY and the PURPOSE and GOAL of prayer:

  1. Identity - We have the privilege of having access to God as children of God and addressing Him as "Father". Matthew 6:9; Gal. 3:26; 4:6,7
  2. Purpose - To know God and to know His purposes (His will, His promises and His Word). Prov. 3:5-7; Rom.12:1,2; Eph. 1:17; Isaiah 55:1-9
  3. Goal - To glorify God and see His will done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9,10; Is. 55:10-13

"If my people, who are called by my name (identity), will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways (purpose), then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land (goal)." 2 Chron.7:14

This Saturday our worship team will be supporting "Voice in the city" at their Arise Shine Conference. We are excited to partner with VITC to impact Frankfurt and to equip the Church. For more info click here.

Quote of the week:

"This then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:9,10
