Encountering the Father

Praise be to God!

Every week the Lord is revealing a different aspect of His glory to us and yesterday the Father began to reveal more and more of His love for us in our worship of Him and through His Word to us. This is what He showed us:

  1. The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord was upon Jesus. Is. 61:1; Luke 4:18
  2. Jesus was baptised in order to fulfill all righteousness. Mat. 3:15
  3. As Jesus came out of the waters of baptism, the Spirit of God came upon Him and remained on Him. Mark 1:10; John 1:33
  4. When the Spirit of the Father rested on His Son, the Father spoke His approval and love over His Son. Mark 1:11
  5. Jesus had revelation of the Father's love before He began His ministry - the work of the Father. Luke 3:23
  6. The uponness of the Spirit is the seal of the Father's approval. John 6:27
  7. The believer is baptised into Christ and made one with Him. 1 Cor. 12:13; Rom. 6; Phil. 2:1
  8. Through the believer's union with Christ, s/he is made righteous and therefore fulfills all righteousness - the believer is made right with God through Christ. 2 Cor. 5:21
  9. Since the believer is one with Christ, the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord rests on the believer as a seal of the Father's approval. 2 Cor. 1:21,22; Rev. 14:1
  10. The Father seals His children with His love before they do anything - it is by grace that we are made one with Jesus and are sealed with the Father's love. Eph. 2:8

After receiving this awesome revelation from God's Word, we spent time in the Father's presence, being anointed with oil as a symbol of the Father's seal of approval and receiving an outpouring of His love. Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come." 2 Cor. 1:21,22

More of His Glory!

Praise the Lord!

God is continuing to teach us about seeing His glory and He is revealing Himself to us more and more. On Sunday God spoke to us about encountering Him in the fullness of His glory - His love, His compassion, His faithfulness, His forgiveness, His mercy (Ex. 33,34) to allow Him to replace any distorted views of Him that are based on our own experiences in life rather than on His revelation of Himself. Where we have experienced unfaithfulness and failing love in our relationships, a barrier of fear is formed that hinders us from seeing God's true faithfulness and unfailing love. Therefore the Lord encouraged us to seek His glory in order to remove any hindrances of fear so that we will walk in confidence and boldness in His love and faithfulness. We praise God for the many lives that were touched and healed as we encountered God's love and faithfulness! Hallelujah!

We are very pleased and blessed to have two students from Kingdom Faith College (Horsham, England) with us. They are a great team supporting the exisiting ministry of KLF and also being part of some other exciting ventures that have included street evangelism, prayer walking in Frankfurt, helping the poor and needy, and simply being a great blessing to us and this city! We praise God for Kingdom Faith College and the excellent work they are doing.

This week part of our worship team joined Roy Fields for 2 meetings held at CZF, organised by Healing rooms Deutschland e.V. The meetings were very well attended and many were blessed by God's presence and power.

Quote of the week:

"God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear..." 1 John 4:16-18

True Revival

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ!

These are awesome times of refreshing! God is revealing Himself to us through spiritual understanding, wisdom and knowledge so that we are filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Hallelujah!

Yesterday the Lord showed us what true revival is and He revealed to us that:

Revival is God saturating His people with Himself.

  • When the Spirit of God drenches man with His presence, power and love; man responds in his spirit, soul (mind, heart and will) and body.
  • Revival is God's connecting heaven and earth.
  • God's people are revived as they release God's Spirit within them to be connected to heaven (Gen. 7:11; Mt 3:13-17; Acts 19:1-6).
  • Faith connects heaven and earth.

Consequently, a revived people overflow with God and reveal His nature and release His power. Hallelujah!

The Lord confirmed His Word yesterday as everyone was drenched in the Holy Spirit and saturated with God! Praise be to our wondeful King who has lavished His love upon us!

Exciting upcoming events and important dates:

14th June & 5th July: Homeless mission - an opportunity to feed the poor spiritually and physically and to overflow with the love of God.

Living the Kingdom life

Glory to God!

It has been another exciting week with God! Hallelujah!

On Saturday, the KLF worship team joined Suzette Hattingh and Gayle Claxton of Voice in the City for their Arise Shine! meetings that the Lord is using to equip the Body in Frankfurt with His truth, His presence and His power.

Yesterday KLF had another New Life Celebration as we celebrated new life in Christ through baptism. You can see pictures of the meeting here. The Lord spoke to us about our lives in Him and this is what He showed us concerning living the Kingdom life:

  1. The believer has been rescued from the kingdom of darkness and has been brought into the Kingdom of God. Col- 1:13
  2. The believer has been reconciled to God and is made one with Him. Rom. 6:3-11; 2 Cor. 5:18-20; Col. 3:1-3; John 17:20,21
  3. The believer has been regenerated and has received a new life in Christ. John 1:12,13; 3:3-8; 1 Pet. 1:23; 2 Cor. 5:17
  4. The believer is to remain in Christ. John 15:4-8
  5. The believer is to realise the truth by faith. Gal. 2:20; John 14:20
  6. The believer is to reveal the person of Christ in him/her through obedience. 1 John 4:12; John 3:30; 14:23
  7. The believer is to release the power of Christ by doing the works of Jesus. Eph. 1:19; 2:10; Mt. 28:20

"They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor." Isaiah 61:3

We praise God for His continuing revelation to us! Glory to Him!

This coming weekend we will have another exciting opportunity to bless the poor and needy as we share God's presence, power and love with them.

Quote of the week:

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Gal. 2:20

Times of refreshing!

Hallelujah!

These are exciting times! These are indeed "times of refreshing from the Lord!" (Acts 3:19,20)

Last weekend we were privileged and blessed to have Mike and Kay Chance with us for our KLF Training Days. You can listen to 3 sessions here and you can view pictures of the Sunday meeting here. We are excited about building with Mike and Kay as they have had years of experience of building God's Kingdom here in Germany with a faith dynamic that is stirring this nation. The weekend with them was very powerful and we look forward to seeing them again later this year. Our next training days will be on the 22nd and 23rd May with Bengt Wedemalm!

The leadership of KLF attended the Kingdom Faith leaders' conference at the beginning of this week and has returned full of faith and expectation, having received great encouragement through the teaching, the anointing and the presence of God in the meetings! We are blessed to be part of the move of God that is happening through Kingdom Faith and the anointing that is being released through our covenant relationship with KF. Glory to God!

This weekend we are looking forward to being part of the Arise Shine! conference organised by Voice in the city and we expect God to once again bring life-changing revelation and liberating encounters with Him through worship and the teaching of His Word.

On Sunday KLF will not be meeting at TPLF but at the Baptist church in Frankfurt-Eschersheim at 3pm for another exciting New Life Celebration when we will be baptising new believers and celebrating their new lives in Christ! Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you - even Jesus." Acts 3:19,20

New Life Celebration

Glory to the God of peace!

These are truly exciting times! The Lord is raising, building and equipping His people to manifest His presence, power and personality! Through the cross we are reconciled to God and to one another! Hallelujah!

Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about not only being reconciled to Him and to one another, but also about how He wants us to be reconciled with ourselves! Looking at the account of Mephibosheth, the Lord showed us how we can grow up with a wrong identity because of not knowing and believing in the covenant God has already made with us by His blood. When we base our identity on our weaknesses and what man and Satan say about us, we become spiritually crippled and cannot walk in the fullness of what God has given us! The Lord wants His people to live out of the covenant He has made with His people. He wants us to live from our new identity in Christ and how God sees us. As God has forgiven us in Christ, so we must forgive ourselves and walk in the blood-bought freedom and identity God has given us. We must be reconciled with ourselves!

We praise God for His amazing work in drawing people to Himself and yesterday we celebrated another new life in Christ through baptism. The Lord is changing lives as we encounter Him and many are testifying to the wonderful work of the Holy Spirit in their lives during and outside our meetings! Hallelujah! You can view pictures taken on the day at http://www.dropshots.com/KLFPhotomosaic

This week is going to be amazing. God's favour is upon us and we sense that God is about to do an even deeper work in us through the ministry of Richard Maybery. You can see the schedule of this week's "Seeking God's Face" meetings at http://www.kingdomlife-frankfurt.com/resources/Maybery.pdf.

The Lord wants us to know Him so that we can make Him known! Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings and we will be translating the meetings into German for any German-speaking guests.

Quote of the week:

"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'" Matthew 22:37-39

Grace: The Key to the Supernatural!

Praise be to God!

On Tuesday last week we prayer-walked and worshipped God on the streets of Frankfurt and on Thursday our youth (IMPACT!) joined our two student placements to minister to the poor and needy on the streets and gave them something to eat, prayed for them and simply showed them the love of God. The Lord is blessing our youngsters and Friday's IMPACT! meeting was awesome as our student placements led the meeting and encouraged the guys to realise their identity in Christ. We then concluded the meeting listening to God and encouraging one another with prophetic words as we prayed for one another. Glory to God!

Yesterday we met in a different location to have our New Life Celebration. We praise God for the two planned baptisms and the one spontaneous baptism - the Lord spoke to a lady during the meeting about being baptised and we sensed that God was truly prompting her to be baptised there and then just like the account of Philip and the eunuch in Acts 8! Hallelujah!

The Lord spoke to us about the importance of having a spiritual revelation and understanding of His grace! He showed us that,
  1. Grace is the supernatural and undeserved endowment of God's love, wisdom and power into our lives. Rom. 5:5
  2. We need the Holy Spirit to reveal "what God has freely given us." 1 Cor. 2:12
  3. Stephen (not an apostle), who was full of the Holy Spirit, faith, wisdom, grace and power walked in the supernatural as he "did great wonders and miraculous signs"; had a face "like the face of an angel"; spoke with supernatural wisdom and saw into the supernatural realm of Heaven. Acts 6:3,5,8,15,7:56
  4. The key to releasing the supernatural is the spiritual understanding of God's grace.
  5. When we fully understand God's grace, we will produce supernatural fruit! Col. 1:6
  6. God wants us to stand in the river of grace in which we submit to God's righteousness and not in the river of conditional righteousness where we try to establish our own righteousness . Rom. 5:1,2; 10:3

Looking at Romans 9 we saw that by God's grace:
  1. We have become "objects of God's mercy." vs 23
  2. God is making "the riches of His glory" known to us. vs 23
  3. He prepared us in "advance for glory." vs 23
  4. He has "called us." vs 24
  5. We are "His people." vs 25
  6. We are God's "loved one." vs 25
  7. We are "sons of the living God." vs 26

We continue to rejoice in God's supernatural revelation to us so that we walk in the supernatural by faith! Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Gal. 5:1

One with Christ

Praise be to God!

Yesterday we had an awesome time worshipping the Lord and celebrating new life in Christ. We met in the baptist church in Frankfurt-Eschersheim where we baptised two of our youngsters and simply had a lot of fun, enjoying God's goodness and celebrating together.

The Lord is speaking to us about suffering and yesterday we looked at Hebrews 5:7-10 and the Lord showed us that:

  1. Jesus lived in reverent submission to the Father
  2. Jesus remained in the Father and always did His will
  3. Jesus was confronted with the will of others but always chose to do the Father's will only and remain in Him
  4. Jesus was willing to bear the consequences of living for the Father and thus suffrered even to the point of death on the cross
  5. Jesus learned obedience through suffering as He chose to remain in the Father and not obey the will of others

The Lord then showed us that:

  1. The believer is born again as a new creation in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17; Rom. 6:5; Gal. 2:20 John 17:21,23)
  2. The believer is baptised into Christ so that Christ is in Him and he in Christ (1 Cor. 12:13; Col. 3:3)
  3. The believer's position and identity is in Christ and Jesus calls His people to remain in Him (John 15:3,4)
  4. Being one with Christ, the believer has received glory (John 17:22; 1 Peter 4:14)
  5. The believer must choose to remain in Christ or he disobeys God by choosing to obey the will of another (self-will, satan, the world, man)
  6. The life of the believer is about choosing to remain in Christ so that the glory he has received will not be veiled should he choose to disobey and not remain in Christ

We praise God for His awesome revelation and for His amazing gift to us - our new lives in Him.

Quote of the week:

"..if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps." 1 Peter 2:20,21

Immersed in the River!

Praise the Lord!

We give God all the glory for what He is doing in the lives of the people of Kingdom Life! Yesterday we met in the Evangelisch-Freikirchliche Gemeinde Frankfurt-Nordwest to have a New Life Celebration. Five people were baptised and 3 people recommitted their lives to Jesus. Hallelujah! As the building of Treffpunkt Leben, where we usually meet, doesn't have a baptismal pool, TPL also meets in the EFG Frankfurt-Nordwest to baptise their people. After the baptisms and recommitments we prayed for the 8 people to be filled with the Holy Spirit and the Lord spoke to each person through prophetic words given to various people in the body. It was a very special time indeed!

After the meeting we gathered together at a local restaurant to celebrate KLF's 6 month "birthday" and to simply enjoy one another. What made the evening particularly significant was that everyone was invited to a meal but that everyone gave according to what they were able to. We therefore collected what everyone liked to contribute so that everyone could be blessed. Our desire is to cultivate a spirit of generosity in our people who share with one another according to what God has blessed them with. If we are generous in the church, we will be generous as the church in the world!

"Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.....All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had." Acts 2:45; 4:32

God's favour is upon us! He is opening up His Word to us in a most wonderful way through spiritual revelation (1 Cor. 2:10, Eph. 1:17). Yesterday the Lord showed us some amazing truth concerning the believer's walk in the Spirit. Looking at Luke 3 & 4 we saw the following:
  1. God loves, and is well pleased with those who have surrendered their lives to Him because He sees us as He sees His own Son, Jesus. Luke 3:21,22
  2. Through Jesus the believer becomes the righteousness of God, dearly loved by the Father. 2 Cor. 5:21; 1 John 3:1
  3. Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert where He was tempted by the devil. Luke 4:1,2
  4. The Father's will was for Jesus to be absolutely obedient to Him, in order for Jesus to reveal the Father.
  5. Satan tempted Jesus to serve self (the desires of the body and the soul - mind, emotions and will) so that Jesus would do His own will rather than the Father's will. Luke 4:3,6,7,9
  6. The 40 days are significant as they represent the spiritual walk of the believer. Luke 4:2
  7. The 40 days of the flood represent the destruction of the old to release the new and signify the release of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life. Gen. 7:11
  8. Both 40 day accounts speak of the same thing:

as the believer denies self (Luke 4:1-12) and yields to the Holy Spirit,
streams of Living Water will flow from within the believer (John 7:38,39) and without as the "springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens" are opened (Gen. 7:11) so that the believer walks in the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:14)!

Glory to God! Our prayer is that we, as Kingdom Life, will increasingly learn to deny self and yield to the Holy Spirit so that streams of Living Water will flow out of us to release God's presence, power and love! Lord have your way.

Quote of the week:

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may have new life." Romans 6:4 (emphasis mine)

Releasing the River!

Glory to God!

This past week has been amazing! God is speaking very clearly to us in our meetings (Tuesday's men's meeting at McPrayer; Tuesday's prayer meeting and the women's meeting on Wednesdays)! The Holy Spirit is teaching us how we are to keep in step with Him and last Friday KLF's youth had an awesome time moving with the Holy Spirit's agenda. We found ourselves spending most of the time worshipping and declaring God's truth over our lives and then being led to prophesy over one another as the Lord spoke to each one of the Impactors individually about the desires of their hearts. It was a very powerful time as the Holy Spirit ministered to these young adults and words were given to them that encouraged and edified them (1 Cor. 14:3).

Yesterday's meeting was another profound encounter with our Lord. During the worship, the Lord impressed upon us that He wanted us to take communion by receiving the bread and wine kneeling before Him as a response to His Lordship over our lives. People therefore came to the front and knelt before the King of Kings as they received the bread and the wine. It was very powerful.

The Lord then spoke to us about how His heart's desire is for a people who will reveal His nature so that all men would be drawn to Him. We saw that the Church has been deceived into believing that the Christian life is all about the self being trained to become more like Jesus. God showed us and reminded us that the believer is the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21) and that He has called us to reveal His nature. This has been His intention from the moment man was created in God's likeness (Gen.1:26)! The Christian life, therefore, is about denying self and yielding to the Holy Spirit so that His nature is revealed through us.

In conjunction with this, the Lord is teaching us what it really means to stand in grace (Romans 5:1) and how we must reckon ourselves dead to the power of sin (Romans 6:2), free from the penalty of sin (Romans 5:18) and free from the law (Romans 7:4) but alive to God. Hallelujah!

We praise God for what He is doing in us and through us. One of our teens testified to his school about God's healing miracle in his life with the result that the school used the testimony as part of a larger "collage" of testimonies to relate the students' "stories that should never be forgotten!" Our people are building relationships with the homeless on the streets and risking more and more for His glory with words of knowledge for complete strangers and seeing God touch their lives.

We are very excited about next Sunday as we will be celebrating new lives in Christ as we baptise 6 people, including one of our "homeless" friends. God is stirring people to commit their lives to Him and live only for Him. We will be meeting in the Evangelisch-Freikirchliche Gemeinde Frankfurt-Nordwest in the Frankfurt suburb of Eschersheim. Glory to God!

Quote of the week:

"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:20,21 (emphasis mine)
